"A bored rich guy plays the edge - pushing the boundaries on how far he can manipulate a woman that he describes as ‘prey’. Think stalking, emotional manipulation, degradation, coercive and controlling behaviours. The author narrates in a metaphor of locks and cages across the chapters, and it is not always the same person holding the key. This is a story that really captures the complexity of where we draw the line between love and obsession. Just because love is not ‘healthy’ does not mean that it is not a deep, passionate, genuine experience. Opinion: I enjoy stories where characters make choices that do not line up with societal expectations and the authors let us in on their minds to explain why. This story takes us inside the mind of a relationship that becomes almost a toxic ‘cult’. 🎥 Narrated from his perspective. 🤬 some swearing 🔪 some moderate violence - intentional scaring and self harm. 💋 extreme and explicit sexual content 🔚 The story builds so the ending is not a surprise. don’t expect a fairytale happy ending. "
