Summary

Elara never believed in dangerous love, until she met Kael Dorian. Mysterious, magnetic, and shadowed by a past he refuses to fully reveal, Kael enters Elara’s life like a storm, intense, consuming, impossible to ignore. What begins as undeniable attraction soon deepens into a connection neither of them can escape. But passion comes with a price. As secrets surface and the weight of Kael’s history threatens to unravel everything, Elara must decide whether love is worth the risk of losing herself, or if walking away is the only way to survive. Bound first by obsession, then by choice, they navigate betrayal, vulnerability, and the thin line between desire and destruction. What they discover is that true love is not the absence of darkness, but the decision to face it together. Some bonds are fragile. Some are forbidden. And some are meant to last… forever.

FOREVER

PROLOGE

The rain fell in long, silver threads, slicing through the night with quiet insistence, tapping against the windowpane like a metronome counting down to inevitability. Kael Ashford stood in the shadows of the empty courtyard, his coat pulled tight against the chill, eyes tracing the path she would take before she even arrived. He had seen her once, and that was all it took. One glimpse, one heartbeat, and the world had tilted on its axis.

There was something fragile about her, he knew. Something careful and wary, like a bird that had learned too soon that trust could be a weapon. And yet, within that caution, there was a spark, a stubborn flicker of defiance that intrigued him, consumed him, demanded his attention.

He remembered the way she had walked that afternoon, books clutched to her chest, gaze flicking around nervously as if she knew someone was following. Most would have ignored her. Most would have walked past without a second thought. But Kael did not allow himself “most.” He did not allow chance.

The moment he had stepped out of the shadows to hand her that pen, to let her see him for the first time, he had known: she was his. Not because she would belong willingly, not because she could ever truly be tamed, but because he would not allow anyone else to claim her.

Obsessions were dangerous, and he had learned long ago how to wield them like a blade. But his obsession with her was different. It was not cruel. It was not fleeting. It was patient. Calculated. And it would last.

He adjusted his coat and moved closer to the fountain, imagining the day she would realize that the pull between them was more than coincidence, more than fate. That the moment had already begun, invisible threads binding them in a tension she could not yet name.
