Veil Bound

Summary

He’s a witch-killer banished to live on this side of the veil. She’s a witch whose blood will send him home. Sylvia Lanoue is pretty sure her wild years of adventure are long gone, but after helping her cousin step beyond the veil to summon a familiar, her dreams become clouded by echoes of destruction and the intoning summons of a war cry. So, when a half-mad creature from the far side of the veil stalks her and tries to consume her magic, she can’t claim she wasn’t expecting something to go wrong. But nothing could have prepared her for him. He is entropy. The decay of the old to make way for the new. Once he had been far more than a man. Now he scavenges for scraps of magic to consume, doing anything and everything to survive. He doesn’t know why the seer, Sylvia, is tied to the veil, but he does know that killing her will pave his road home.
