Chapter 1: Tense Moment
Buck Hammerlocke had full control over Beckett Kai’s body for the moment – though Anya Kovalchik, the daughter of Colonel Yuri Kovalchik WANTED Beckett back. Buck was being somewhat resistant to giving Beckett full control again.
“So, you like Beckett more than me?” asked Buck.
“Yes, please” replied Anya, “I prefer a man like him. He’s so easy control.”
“Yea, tell me about it” joked Buck.
Beckett was getting frustrated in his own head feeling the pressure, he couldn’t believe Buck was pushing him back.
“You have to stop this, end this somehow” said Beckett.
“And miss all the fun, heck no!” laughed Buck.
Buck was no doubt a control freak still controlling Beckett’s body. As for Colonels Yuri and Rex MacManner, both of them were rushing over to Anya’s apartment. They were on a desperate bid trying to stop Sora Son from doing something drastic over Anya’s apartment complex. Both of them were in a race against time.
“You think that Sora girl is capable of pulling something off?” asked Colonel Rex.
Colonel Rex and Yuri were driving their own vehicles heading towards the apartment complex.
“Knowing what our programs did with our governments” said Colonel Yuri, “it isn’t far off that someone like Sora would admire the persona more than the actual person underneath it.”
Both of them managed to find parking spaces before heading out.
“Now where would we be going if we were a desperate woman?” laughed Colonel Rex.
Sora was already closing in on the apartment, she knew the layout of the building but she had to climb up the main ladder. The two colonels could see her on the ladder climbing up.
“There she is!” cried Colonel Yuri.
Both of them ran up towards the ladder, doing their best to catch up. Sora was about half way up, while both of them were just struggling to get up themselves. Sora knew it was best for her to hurry.
“Just my luck” thought Sora.
Sora wanted to get even against Buck for his betrayal, so why not sabotage the power supply of the apartment itself? Once she reached the roof top she could see the power supply. She had to find a tool that could assist her in destroying it.
“Time to ruin their evening!” thought Sora.
Sora grabbed a wrench and began to smack the power generator that was on the roof. She wasn’t backing down on causing so much damage. There were arrays of emotions flowing through Sora feeling all jealous of Anya and her tastes in men. She wanted Buck all to herself and she was going to get it anyway she could.
“Great, something must be going on with the power” sighed Anya.
Anya could see the lights around her were flickering.
“Is that a bad sign?” asked Buck.
“Yes, it is” replied Anya.
Anya felt perhaps it was best that the apartment wasn’t the safest place to be as she first thought. She knew Sora would be onto her eventually, and it was wise for her to just try to get out while she still could with Buck/Beckett in hand.
