Robby’s pov~
I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face. and my day started off incredibly. I woke up next to my wife. Then we made love, she made me a hearty breakfast. and made sure I was sent off to work with decent coffee and a hopeful promise of her coming to see me.
I walked into work greeted everyone with a smile and placed my bag down where I normally would.
“What has you all happy?
I looked over at Jack who was standing beside Dana.
" is there something wrong with being happy?” I asked
“you are never this happy. is usually fake” Dana says
“alright well my trip was increadble, and it ended greatly.” I replied before I walked over
“Wait you’re happy your trip is over?” Jack asked
“not really but the outcome is what I’m happy about so...” I say before we walked off and started hand off.
Once Jack finished hand off he took me aside and Dana followed.
“spill” he says
I looked at him and her and noticed she just realized I had a wedding band on.
“no need Jack look at his hand” Dana says
Jack looks
“you son of a bitch. you got married while on your vaction” he says
my smile grew bigger.
“well what is she like?” he asked
“wounderful. just the type of woman I’ve needed in my life and never could find.” I replied
I went into some more detail. but nout enough.
“when will we meet her?” Dana asked
“hopfeully she’ll come by a bit later today” I say
“well comgradulations.we’ll set up a late engament/weddign party” Dana says
“just let me know so I can make sure she’s free” I say
“what exsactly does she do?” Jack asked
“pediatrician, has her own office and everything” I bosted
“Well congratulations again. cant wait to meet her” Dana says
“yeah brother congrats, I too cant wait to meet her” Jack says
“I cant wait for any of you to meet her” I say
after that Jack left while Dana and I got to work. I was still in a great mood, but I kept a straight face so people would take me serious though alot of them kept asking what is up with me and Dana just said that my trip really helped out.
~~REgular pov~~
I knew carrying all this food and drinks was gonna take countless trips but I want to make sure my baby and his workers and bestfriend and night shift workers eat.
I parked in a spot near the ambulance bay and made sure my car wasnt blocking any incoming ambulances. I looked by the door hoping to see a worker and as my luck would have it I did.
So I apporached them.
“hi, sorry to bother you, but I was wanting to know if you wouldn’t mind helping me. I dont need medical assitance ” I say
“alright what is it you do need?” she asked
“I brought some food and drinks for this shift and night to enjoy and its quiet a lot for just one person to carry without constant trips” I expalined
“Oh well sure I can help” she says
“I’m Mireille or Ellie” I say
“I’m Mel” she says
“nice to meet you” I say
we made small talk as we unloaded the food and drinks and carried into the break room.
I grabbed a piece of paper and pen and wrote I note before stickign it on the fridge.
“what does it say?” Mel asked
“Please dont touch the food or drink in the fridge as its for Night shift only . thanks ~~ Mrs. R” I replied
“oh is your last name long?” she asked
“its a mouthful. but the man who gave it to me shortens his, and .... he’s so worth it” I say
“does he work here?” she asked
“yeah. he’s an attending” I say and before anything could be said people came in and looked at me.
“Hi, I brought you all some food and drinks. and I ask you not mess with the food and drinks in the fridge as its for night shift” I say
they looked at me a bit odd but nodded their head.
“Who are you?”
“Mireille or Ellie” I say
they told me their names and I said my hellos before I excused myself and was going to head for the bathroom but I could hear a baby crying and me being a baby doctor got curious so I followed the sound to what I assume is Peds and I walked in cleaned my hands and carefully picked up the baby.
“I figured this is where you’d wounder off to”
I smiled as I turned and looked at my husband before carefully walking over and greeting him wih a kiss.
“Hello babby boy” I greet
“Hi momma” he says kissing me again.
“I brought you and the others some food and drinks and your friend Jack and his crew some food. I also made a note on the fridge asking that they not touch that food since its for night shift” I say
“you are a wounderful woman” he says
I smiled
“and you are a wounderful man” I say as I carefully calmed the baby in my arms
“what is her story?” I asked
he told me
“three months and the....lets take her in... we can give her so much” I say
“you sure?” he asked
I nodded my head
“yeah daddy I am” I say
“Alright I’ll make the calls and talk to them.
“No daddy. I’ll handle it, I got a friend who handles cases like this and she will handle it for us.” I say
he nods his head and kisses me before I lay the little miss down.
“come let me introduce you” he says
“one more kiss” I say
He smirked as he grabbed my face and kissed me breathless.
“that can hold me till I get you inside me later” I say
“cant wait” he says before he takes my hand and walked out the door with me.
“Dana, Princess,Perlah, Cassie, Whitaker. I want you all to meet my wife, Mireille or Ellie” Robby says
they all But one looked shocked while the one that didn't look shocked approached me.
“Hello. I’m Dana, the charge nurse. I want to thank you for making Robby happy, he came in this morning a totally different person and it wasn't till he told us you are the reason that he is happy.” she says
“Oh you are the wonder woman of this place, keeping everyone in line, on their toes, and managing this ship wreck” I say
“yeah, thats me” she says
“nice to meet you Dana” I say
After that the others came and introduced themselves.
“I dont know if you all know this but there is foor in the breakroom for you all as well as drinks. I only ask that the food in the fridge not be touched for its night shifts food and drinks” I say
they smiled while nodding their heads.
“thank you” they all say
“welcome” I replied before Robby and I walked off so he could introduce me to more.
when we walked into the break room I looked at Robby.
“alright mister. you sit your chief butt down and eat” I say as I grabbed him a drink and placed it before him.
“alright” he says
" Mel, have you met my bride?” Robby asked
“yes. sir. I helped her carry this in” she says
“well now you know why I put. Mrs. R on the note cause my last name is long” I say
she nods her head
after while few people I hadn’t met walks in and Robby introduces us. I gave a simple smile an wave while they did the same before finding a place to sit.
