โEmily, bar the fucking door,โ Willโs voice grated, urgency lacing every syllable.
The forceful thud reverberated through the room as Willโs weight collided with the locked barrier. My hands trembled as I clasped them together, struggling to contain the fear threatening to overtake me. Will had never deceived me before; I couldnโt fathom him fabricating something so dire now.
Another powerful blow struck the door, sending splinters flying as it gave way. In an instant, Will stormed in, unclothed and poised for action, his grip seizing my arm and hauling me towards him. There was no preamble, no exchange of words, only a primal intent in his eyes.
