What is your opinion?

Beautifully Atmospheric

"The author has a way of writing that is very description-rich without being overwhelming. The chapters were a bit long, but I found that I didn't mind because the world they created was so vivid and immersive. The characters have strong voices, even early on, and the dialogue was compelling. I'm really interested to see where the story goes! #ICBC"

Help, I’m hooked

"This is dark and disturbing in the best way possible. The author captures both atmosphere and emotion incredibly well. It's raw, haunting, and completely immersive. I found myself drawn into the story from the very first chapter. The first few chapters create a mystery that just pulls you in. Also... Mon Ange and Sweet Beast completely melted me. Those little moments of tenderness make the darker parts hit even harder."

Darkness and love

"From the chapters I've read so far, this story has completely pulled me in. I love the balance between horror, mystery, action, and the warmth of the characters' relationships. Every chapter reveals just enough to keep me guessing while raising even more questions. Rue and Sylus are such compelling characters, and I'm really excited to see where their journey leads. I'm officially hooked. 🤍#icbc"

A good start to an emotional journey

"The prologue and the first two chapters set a dark tone to the story, by presenting Rue’s world, with his "demons" in a way that feels both chilling and deeply poetic. The writing is evocative, vivid and intense, hooking you immediately to Rue's struggle. It’s a beautiful dark setup that leaves you desperate to see how he will survive and if he will ever find the safety he deserves. The author already said that editing is in progress, so I will not drop any stars for the spacing issues in the chapters, as it’s most likely a glitch from transferring the chapters. #ICBC"

Imaginitive and well-written afterlife-themed gold

"The heaven/hell motif, the characters, and the beautifully worded prose have me invested in this story. Rue is a raw emotional character who takes solace in Sylus, who is such a caring partner. Fluer and the children are so relatable and provide some humorous moments. The afterlife themes and unique spark this story possesses remind me of some of my favorite TV shows, such as Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies, and True Blood. All of these shows are favorites of mine for their imaginative storylines, afterlife aspects, and relatable characters, which is what spurs them to mind in relation to What Will It Be? This book certainly exhibits those aspects, and I'm excited to see where it goes. #ICBC"

Very easy to picture

"I love how descriptive the writing is. Even as someone who doesn't read this genre I was able to "see" where this is set. The environment and overall vibe of scenes come through. It's also a very interesting, complex premise for a story which I find very different. The main character's emotions do come across to the reader as well. #icbc"

Sweet Beast

"Such a lovely start to the story! The connection and romance between Sylus and Rue (Sweet Beast) is definitely my favorite part so far. It could use a little bit of editing here and there, but the potential is absolutely there. Keep up the great work!"

Very atmospheric!

"From the first sentence to the last, I felt like this was a very unique and carefully crafted world! It felt dystopian but, somehow, familiar. As if this world exists within ours. Now, mind you, I am not a religious person but, I can understand the themes on display here! The characters were also surprisigly relatable, especially given their characteristics! They pull you into their world and squeeze emotions out of you! Sadness, sorrow, lost hope (sorry those felt like the most promnent ones in chapter 1, which I dig, as a matter of fact!) Overall, if you are a fan of the paranormal, this book will do the trick for you! You will definitely feel it in your bones! "

Heaven and Hell emotion rollercoaster

"This story has tense emotions, drama, and romance, but with a slap of heavenly/hell fiction. What's interesting and honestly fun for me as a reader is how the author pokes at the flaws and hypocrisy of its own laws. Actually, the author doesn't just poke; they seriously stab it. And you can tell from the characters' dialogue in the story, especially Rue, who is in the mix of it all, describing a brutal, emotional scarring past. Luckily, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it's my favorite buddy Sylus (Fluer and the kids). There are definitely some warming chapters in the story that I do appreciate before we get to the drop. *No spoilers here* Overall, my favorite aspect of this story is the romance between Sylus and Rue. Their relationship feels loving, supportive, and non‐toxic, which is especially meaningful given how much trauma Rue has gone through. It’s written with care and sensitivity, and it makes you want to root for them the whole way through, despite all the odds!! The early chapters go into a lot of detail and can feel a bit "lost in the sauce" at times, but as the story continues, the writing becomes much cleaner and easier to follow. The fun banter between the characters really shines and makes the later chapters especially enjoyable to read. Overall, this is a heartfelt, dramatic, and romantic story with a unique twist and characters you can truly connect with. I’m excited to see where the author takes it next!"

Found Family, Horror, and Heart

"What stands out most to me so far is the emotional core of this story. The supernatural and horror elements are compelling, but it's Rue's struggle with trauma, belonging, and healing that keeps me invested. The Void scenes are vivid and unsettling, while the moments between Rue and Sylus provide a warmth that balances the darkness beautifully. I'm especially enjoying the found-family aspects and the way the author shows that surviving something terrible doesn't mean the scars disappear. Looking forward to reading more of Rue's journey."

Hi. Read it. It's worth it.

"Hi Author. First of all keep writing. When I first looked at the cover I like it. I thought hey It's interesting, my kind. Then as my eyes flowed to the genre and tags, I know, these are my kind. But when I read the description. It felt off. Cause it has many words that had become too generic now, throughout the internet. The amazing thing is that you worked too damn hard in writing chapters while the description is a bit off. Plus I'm not sure how far it is true but honestly these days even the reviews sound same generic, previously those words used to be considered polished and professional, but just as the trend changed they—once known professional now are too generic or cringe. I might be wrong, but I did felt this. And you can delete this if you feel like I'm mistake or you may do as you see fit. And again I'm talking about the description not the story. The story as far as I read is, too damn good. It's a worth read. Especially August, Rue, the way emotions had been explored. To question once own existence and saying sorry for those is truly one of the saddest ones, yet not everyone talks or is flexible to do so. So I hope the story and our leads get a happy ending. Cause reality maybe different but story doesn't need for it be as such. They deserve a happy ending. Well that doesn't mean sad ending is bad or something. Honestly this is the kind of places where I face dilemma on how to use words, cause that's the limit of language. Well. That's all. Keep writing. Do check out my story too. "

Oh my god THIS story is poetry in the form of romance gold

"Honestly from moment ONE I was drawn into the elegant script. The world building tied into a very large and very much so felt sense of mystery and suspense. The characters that manage to be both adorable, relatable, sweet, and incredibly deep AND multifaceted individuals! The side characters SO well fleshed out. And the very heavy, beautifully and eloquently described emotion. The orgininality of the plot! It felt like a mix of modern-day romance with hints of fantasy and themes of mental health. And speaking of THAT. The represenation of so many incredibly important things. This story does not just have a starry-eyed beautifuly romantic love, it has depth, it has voice, and I truly could not recommend it more. Read now. You won't regret the ride."

IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER?!?!?!

"Now that there are more chapters and the story has progressed more, I've been dragged into this wonderful universe. I'm so invested in Rue's story and in the side characters as well. Calypso just has a way of drawing in their readers and then stabbing them in the heart. I can't wait for you to hopefully publish this one day, I WILL be a part of the fanbase trust. For real, this is so amazing, there are so many layers to the lore within the book and a lot of the chapters keep me on the edge of my seat. I can only hope to be as good as you one day. Keep up the good work."

Pay attention!

"There is quite a lot to comprehend in order to appreciate this story. Through no fault of the author's, I struggled to focus enough to truly absorb what is going on below the surface (adhd hyperfocus appears to be completely switched off unfortunately). That said, the prose in the first few chapters is stunning. The imagery can be visceral and jarring, which fits the intensity of the opening scenes. There is a beauty in the world, and the characters of Rue and Sylus. The hints of their relationship will certainly lead to a much deeper examination of the pair. Some polish could help with clarity, but overall, wonderfully expansive vocabulary use. I look forward to returning to this story when I can. #icbc"

A very intriguing mystery

"The author has very special way with words, beautifully crafting each paragraph. Sometimes it feels a little shocking how enticingly the author elaborates on emotions or scenes. The internal war Rue is fighting is painful and the author makes you feel it very vividly. Sometimes it's a bit hard to follow what exactly is happening for me, but the intriguing feeling this confusion brings is also very engaging. #ICBC"
