The worst first impression

The campus The campus of St. Xavier’s College was louder than Aarohi Sharma had expected.

Students were everywhere—laughing, talking, dragging suitcases, and trying to find their classrooms. It was the first day of college, and everything felt exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

Aarohi adjusted the strap of her bag and looked around nervously.

“Okay… calm down,” she whispered to herself.

This was the moment she had been waiting for. A new beginning. New friends. New experiences.

She was determined to make the most of it.

After checking her schedule again, Aarohi hurried toward the main academic building. She was so focused on finding her classroom that she didn’t notice someone walking toward her from the opposite direction.

And then—

THUD.

Her books slipped from her hands and fell to the floor.

Papers scattered across the hallway.

Aarohi quickly bent down to pick them up, annoyed and embarrassed.

“Seriously?” a deep voice said above her.

She looked up.

Standing in front of her was a tall boy with sharp features and an irritated expression. His dark eyes looked at her as if the accident was entirely her fault.

“Watch where you’re going,” he said.

Aarohi’s eyebrows shot up in disbelief.

“Excuse me?” she replied.

“You ran straight into me,” he added, clearly annoyed.

Aarohi stood up, clutching her books.

“I ran into you?” she said. “Maybe you should learn how to walk without acting like you own the entire hallway.”

A few students nearby stopped to watch the argument.

The boy crossed his arms.

“And maybe you should learn how to pay attention.”

The arrogance in his voice irritated Aarohi even more.

“Wow,” she said sarcastically. “First day of college and I already met the most arrogant person here.”

The boy didn’t look offended.

Instead, he smirked slightly.

“And I just met the most dramatic one.”

Aarohi rolled her eyes.

“Unbelievable.”

Just then, one of his friends walked over.

“Arjun, the professor is already inside,” his friend said.

So his name was Arjun.

Arjun glanced at Aarohi one last time before turning to leave.

“Try not to crash into anyone else,” he said casually.

Aarohi watched him walk away, completely shocked.

“Rude,” she muttered.

She had no idea that the arrogant boy she had just argued with would soon become the biggest rival in her college life.

Or that one day, he would also become the person she loved the most.

But for now, one thing was certain.

Aarohi Sharma absolutely hated Arjun Mehra.
