Summary

Jasmine: THE THIRD EYE This volume continues the journey of Jasmine, a girl whose life is filled with challenges, dreams, and mysteries yet to be understood. While the first volume introduced many moments from her life and the challenges she faced, this new volume explores a different side of her story. The chapters in this book are not directly connected to the events described in the previous volume. Instead, they present new situations, thoughts, and experiences that reveal more about Jasmine’s personality and the way she understands the world around her. Each chapter stands on its own, offering a different glimpse into her life. As Jasmine grows and faces new circumstances, she begins to see life with deeper awareness. Her experiences shape her thinking, her emotions, and the choices she makes. Through these moments, she learns more about trust, strength, and the meaning of following one's own path. Just like the previous volume, some parts of this story may feel mysterious or unusual. Jasmine’s life does not always follow an ordinary pattern. At times, her experiences seem to connect with something deeper, something that cannot always be explained easily. Jasmine continues to remain a dream character of the author. For several years, she has appeared in the author's dreams, leaving behind a sense of curiosity and mystery. She truly resects Jasmine as her sister.Because of this, the author believes that somewhere in the real world there may be a person who resembles Jasmine — perhaps with a different name, life, or identity, yet sharing the same spirit and qualities. Writing this story is not only about telling Jasmine’s tale, but also about exploring a mystery that still lives in the author’s thoughts and dreams. (It is a psychological book based on teenage minds. To help them cure and live a positive and thoughtful life...)

The Lost Veil

Scene 1: The Silent Streets

The moon hung high in the sky that night, round and luminous, spreading its pale silver glow across the quiet city of Seoul.

Under that cold moonlight, Selené walked through the deserted streets of Itaewon, a lonely and remote path that led back to her home. The road felt strangely empty, as if the world itself had fallen asleep. Only the distant hum of the city and the faint flicker of streetlights accompanied her steps.

It was already eleven at night. A chilly wind brushed past her, making her wrap her arms around herself. Suddenly, a shiver ran down her spine. Strange. Unexplainable. Yet frighteningly real. Something felt wrong. Selené slowed down, her eyes scanning the empty road.

Then she felt it. A presence. Someone… was following her. Her heart began pounding loudly in her chest. Her footsteps quickened, echoing against the silent pavement as she hurried forward. But the footsteps behind her did not stop. They followed. Closer. Closer.

Before she could even turn around— A rough cloth was suddenly pressed tightly against her mouth. “Ahhh!” she cried, her voice muffled.

She struggled wildly, trying to pull the cloth away, her hands shaking as panic rushed through her veins. She kicked and twisted, fighting desperately to escape. But her strength was fading. Her vision blurred. The world spun around her. And within moments… darkness swallowed everything.

Scene 2: The Dark Basement

Hours later… Selené slowly opened her eyes. Her head throbbed painfully, as if someone had struck it repeatedly. Her vision struggled to adjust to the dim surroundings.

She was lying on a cold, damp floor. The room was dark. Too dark. It felt like a forgotten corner of the world. Her hands were tightly tied behind her back. Thick ropes dug painfully into her skin. Her legs were bound as well, making it nearly impossible for her to move. Bruises covered her arms and shoulders—deep, painful marks that burned every time she tried to shift her body. Fear filled her chest like a heavy weight.

Then— Footsteps. Slow. Deliberate. The rusty door creaked open. A girl stepped inside. In her hand was an iron stick. The dim light glinted off the cold metal. Selené’s heart skipped a beat. Maybe… that was what had been used to hurt her earlier. “Who are you?!” Selené asked, her voice trembling with fear. The girl said nothing. She simply stared at Selené with cold, unreadable eyes. Then she stepped closer. Her footsteps carried no warmth, no hesitation. Only cruelty. Before Selené could speak again— The girl lifted the iron stick. And struck her.

The sound echoed sharply through the basement. Pain shot through Selené’s body as the blow landed brutally on her shoulder. “Please… don’t!” she cried desperately. But the girl’s face remained emotionless. She struck again. And again. Selené screamed, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face. But the basement swallowed her cries. No one was there to hear her. No one was there to save her.

Scene 3: The Terrifying Discovery

Several days passed. Selené was still trapped in the same dark basement. The walls, the shadows, the silence—they had all become painfully familiar to her. One day, gathering what little strength she had left, she slowly stood up and began to walk around the small room. Her eyes searched every corner, every crack in the wall, hoping to find something—anything—that might help her understand where she was.

Then she noticed something strange. A chart hung on the wall. “Huh… what’s this?” she murmured quietly to herself. Curiosity pulled her closer. She carefully unfolded it. The moment she read it— Her blood ran cold. The chart was filled with names. Photographs. Dates. Notes written in dark ink. It was a record. A record of every person that woman had ever targeted… and the names of those who were next.

Selené’s hands began to tremble. At the top of the page was a single name. Jasmine. The name that sent fear through the entire country. Korea’s most terrifying psychopath. A criminal the police had searched for endlessly. A mind no doctor had ever been able to understand. “J-Jasmine?!” Selené gasped in shock. Fear rushed through her. Of course she was terrified. Anyone would be.

But as she stared at the chart… something else appeared in her eyes. Pity. Because deep down, Selené began to realize something. Jasmine was not born a monster. She had suffered.

Scene 4: The Broken Truth

Suddenly— The basement door burst open. Jasmine had returned. Her sharp eyes instantly noticed the chart in Selené’s hands. No one was allowed to touch it. Her expression darkened immediately. “How dare you touch it?” she snapped furiously.

In seconds, she closed the distance between them and struck Selené again—harder than before. But this time, Selené looked straight at her. Not with hatred. Not with fear. But with understanding. “You lost someone… didn’t you?” Selené asked softly.

“Shut up! It’s none of your business!” Jasmine snapped angrily. But her voice carried disbelief. “You did, right?” Selené continued gently. “I can see it in your eyes.”

Jasmine froze.

“And you became like this because of that person… didn’t you?” Selené said quietly. “That person meant a lot to you… didn’t they?” Then she asked softly, “Jasmine… are you okay?”

“Shut up for God’s sake! It’s none of your business!” Jasmine yelled. But something inside her had already broken. Tears slowly filled her eyes. No one had ever asked her that before. Not once. Yes. She had lost someone.

“How… did you know?” Jasmine whispered, her voice cracking. Selené looked at her gently. “I can see it,” she said softly. “It seems you were really attached to them.” Then she asked, “What happened?”

Jasmine looked down, her voice trembling. “I… lost my little sister,” she whispered. “It was an accident.” Her hands clenched. “I loved her a lot.” Regret filled every word. Selené listened quietly. “You’ve been through a lot,” she said gently. “I can feel your pain.”

Then she asked softly, “By the way… how old are you, Jasmine?” “I’m twenty-five,” Jasmine replied quietly. “You are so young, Jasmine!” Selené gasped. Jasmine gave a faint smile. “I know,” she said. “I’m ten years older than you.”

Selené slowly stepped closer. Without hesitation, she wiped the tears from Jasmine’s face. Then she gently hugged her. Jasmine had gone through a lot. And right now… She needed someone. Someone to comfort her. Someone to understand her pain. Someone who could see beyond the monster everyone feared.

Final Scene: A Glimpse Behind the Veil

For a moment, the dark basement fell silent. Selené held Jasmine gently, as if trying to gather the broken pieces of her heart. Years of anger. Years of loneliness. Years of pain. All hidden behind a veil of cruelty. But perhaps… that veil was beginning to lift.

Will Selené be able to heal Jasmine’s broken heart?

Will Jasmine ever find the truth about her lost sister?

And what secrets still hide behind the veil?

To be continued…
