Summary

‎ ‎Prologue ‎They said that she was the useless third daughter of their family. She had a twin sister whom her parents and two eldest brothers doted on because she was a genius. Her eldest twin was everyone’s favorite, while she, the younger twin, was the worthless one. ‎ ‎But no one knew that she was the person who made her older sister a genius. She ensured her sister had all the love and attention—which actually belonged to her—simply because she loved her sister. ‎ ‎Even when they reached marriageable age, she naively allowed her sister to marry her fiancé. ‎Alas, when she came back to her senses, it was already too late. She never thought her sister would betray her without hesitation. ‎ ‎She had been poisoned. As she was about to take her last breath, what did her elder sister say to her? Oh yes, she looked at the younger twin with jealousy and hatred and confessed: ‎ ‎"Oh sister, did you know how jealous I was of you, even though I had everything which belonged to you? Even though I’m no longer 'worthless,' I had to get rid of your existence so that it could only be me! I’ve been married to Michael for five damn years, but he never touched me! He despises me. He is so cold to me. Do you know what made me want to get rid of you? I caught him staring at your photo in his wallet. I am his wife, but he dislikes me! So if you die, maybe he’ll notice me. Hahaha..." ‎ ‎Lia’s eyes widened as she stared at her "good" sister. The sister whom she loved had always despised her and had now even poisoned her. The sister to whom she gave all her happiness had betrayed her. Tears gathered in her eyes as she squeezed every single word through her gritted teeth. ‎ ‎"I swear that I will never let you have peace..." ‎And she took her last breath. She vowed she would never let her twin sister be happy; even if she became a haunting ghost, she would make her remaining days never be filled with peace. ‎ ‎Maybe the heavens heard her prayers, because when she opened her eyes again, she had already traveled back in time to when she was eighteen.

‎REBORN (A SECOND CHANCE)

‎Chapter 1

‎In an emergency ward, six professional doctors were operating on a patient. The surgery was complicated because of the glass shreds in the patient's skin, which was difficult to remove.

‎By the time the surgery was over, it was almost evening, so they shifted the patient to intensive care to monitor their condition well.

‎Around twelve to one o'clock am in the intensive care room, the patient who was supposed to be in a comatose state suddenly opened their eyes and sat up. If anyone were to witness this scene, they would have fainted from shock. The patient was a teenage girl around eighteen years of age, and her name was Lan Lia.

‎Lia looked around the room and realized that she had been reborn. She had traveled back in time to when she was eighteen years old, the time she had her first "accident".

‎She clearly remembered that someone had pushed her from behind when she was ascending the stairs at home. At that time, she and Sia were the only ones home, so the person who pushed her was obviously her twin.

‎She remembered that in her previous life, this same incident happened and she stayed in the hospital for almost three months. By the time she was discharged, they had already written their college entrance exams, and she had to wait for another year to write hers.

‎In that life, Sia came to the hospital and asked where she kept her notes so she could revise them; Lia foolishly told her, not knowing it was Sia who had pushed her. In this lifetime, she promised she would never let her twin sister take advantage of her again.

‎Touching the bandage wrapped around her face, her gaze turned cold. She knew Sia wanted her disfigured. She got down from the bed and walked to the French windows where she could see her reflection.

‎She slowly removed the bandage on her right arm and was surprised that she couldn't feel any pain; she remembered how badly it hurt when she fell, but now it seemed as if nothing had ever happened to her.

‎Her gaze fell on her bandaged face, and her heart skipped a beat. She remembered clearly that in her previous life, her face hit the glass table in the living room, breaking it and causing small shreds to dig into her flesh—that was how she became disfigured. She slowly raised her hand to unwrap the bandages on her face, her fingers trembling.

‎She gasped in shock when she saw her face.

‎Her skin was smooth, without an injury or scars. She knew she should have had an ugly face, but it was the opposite. She studied her features and realized for the first time that she was very good-looking—even prettier than that twin sister of hers.

‎No wonder Sia wanted her disfigured; she looked stunning the kind of beauty that was difficult to describe and her looks for even more refined than Sia's.

‎Lia sneered. She then felt something hot on her neck. She touched the pendant on her neck and felt its hotness; she subconsciously rubbed it and suddenly found herself in another world. The sound of a waterfall could be heard as Lia found herself in a new world.

‎She looked around and saw flowers around her and a beautiful scenario. In front of her were rich green grasses with a flower bed. She looked around and her sight fell on a mountain. With a single thought, she was standing under the mountain.

‎As Lia was about to take a step, she heard someone calling her. When she looked around, she saw no one.

‎"Master," this time she heard it clearly.

‎"Who is that?" she asked as she looked around curiously.

‎"Master, I'm here. Look down," Lia looked down and saw a white puppy. She squatted and picked it up.

‎"What's this place? And how did I get here?"

‎"This is a space in your pendant and you are the owner of this space. You can come here every time you want and the time here goes slower than outside".
