Chapter 1:Perfect Day, Dangerous Night
The city of Silver Heights was beautiful.
Clean streets. Big houses. Expensive cars. Perfect families.
During the day, everything looked calm and peaceful.
But when the sun went down… the city changed.
And five teenagers were the reason why.
Kael stood in front of his family’s modern mansion, looking at his phone. His parents believed he was going to a “study group.”
He smirked.
“Study group… yeah right.”
A loud engine roared from the street.
A red Toyota Supra stopped in front of the gate. The window rolled down and Mia looked at him with a grin.
“You coming or what, slow boy?”
Kael grabbed his jacket and jumped into the car.
“Relax,” he said. “The night just started.”
Across the city, the rest of the crew were already waiting.
Tumelo leaned against a black BMW M4, typing on his laptop.
“I turned off three traffic cameras,” he said calmly.
Jayden laughed while smoking.
“Good. Tonight we race like kings.”
Luca was under the hood of a Nissan GTR, tightening a bolt.
“Engine is ready,” he said. “But try not to crash it again, Jayden.”
“Hey! That was ONE time!”
Midnight.
The empty highway outside the city was suddenly full of cars.
Engines growled.
Music blasted.
Illegal street racers gathered under neon lights.
Kael stepped out of the GTR and looked around. The best drivers in the city were here.
Mia leaned against her car.
“You sure about this race?” she asked.
Kael smiled.
“The prize is fifty thousand dollars.”
Jayden grinned. “And the fastest car in the city.”
Tumelo closed his laptop.
“Police scanners are quiet… for now.”
Luca cracked his knuckles.
“Then let’s make history.”
The racers lined up.
Engines screamed.
Smoke filled the air.
A girl standing in the middle of the road raised her hand.
3…
2…
1…
GO!
The cars exploded forward like rockets.
The race had begun.
And none of them knew that tonight…
everything was about to go wrong.
