Endless repetition

"I was really invested in the story when I started it and thought I had found something interesting - a group of four space travellers lands at an abandonned station to find an AI monster lab - however, somewhere after chapter 10 the story, the plot, the characters... all spiralled down. And not because of bad writing, but because the author closed herself - and us, the readers - in a loop of repetitions. At first, you don't notice it, because each time she formulates it differently, but then after three more chapters you realise you've been reading the same formulae over and over again!!! I can understand - and even appreciate - the repetitive nature of the AI. Because that's how the AI speaks. However, the thoughts, conversations, and actions of the main characters cannot repeat themselves three times in the same chapter!!! Unless, of course, this is some kind of a psychological-literary experiment on the part of the author... There are 17 chapters, I stopped at 14 halfway, because I couldn't anymore. AL"
