A Lot of Humor & Heart
"This is not your run-of-the-mill vampire romance. Too often, vampire stories especially have a habit of taking themselves too seriously--a man left to brood for centuries apparently loses the ability to have a sense of humor. This story allows the comedy to sit right next to the brooding vampire, who absolutely cannot take himself too seriously with the MC around, and it is delightful. The comedy is relatable, the references are fun and relevant, and overall, the story is a delight to read. #ICBC"

"A supernatural world that takes you on Melinda’s journey as she tries to save the man she loves. Along the way, I feel like Melinda will discover a lot about herself and her relationship with Michael, the vampire who helps her. I really like the heroine’s strong and stubborn personality. There are also so many mysteries that have yet to be uncovered, and I hope we get answers to all of them by the end of the book. #icbc"

"Really enjoying this so far. The premise is really interesting, and the FMC is absolutely fantastic. She’s compelling, funny, and has so much personality that I immediately wanted to know more about her. I might also be kinda in love with Michael already. 😂 I haven’t seen much of Dan yet, but he’s definitely sus. The dialogue is great, the pacing is solid, and the story has been really easy to get into. Definitely intrigued to see where this goes."

The main character, Melinda, blasted my expectations from page one and is now among my top favorite fictional witches. She's relatable and quirky. Her vibe sometimes reminds me of other favorite fictional witches like Samantha Stephens or Sabrina Spellman. The plot is captivating, the writing is smooth, and the action scenes are absolutely riveting! There are deep, relatable moments of vulnerability between the characters: it is clear through his actions that Michael the alluringly sexy vampire is completely besotted with Melinda. This is a light, delightful, well-paced read with a savory slow-burn romance; if you're craving a good supernatural romance, check this book out! #ICBC"

"You know the feeling where you start a new story and have no idea what's going on but you still love it??? Well, case in point! Not only are we thrusted into a world which looks, sounds and feels like our own but in fact has another dimension to it but also, we have to deal with a really special FMC! Our gal is fearless! Tell her she can't do something. I dare you! Every damn dialogue line is quirkier than the last! Curious to see how she'd face the world she'd chosen to be blind to for years!"
Please tell me there is a book 2!
"Imagine discovering as an adult that you're a sorceress when all you really want is a normal life. Then, just when you think you've found that normal life, you're informed that you're forbidden from marrying the mortal man you love. And who delivers the news? The very hot vampire you once had a fling with and haven't seen since. I really enjoyed Melinda's story and watching her struggle with a magical world she never asked to be part of. There is plenty of action and danger as she tries to hold onto the life she's chosen, along with the complication of a certain vampire who suddenly reappears and seems determined to protect her. The ending left plenty of possibilities open, and I'm really hoping that means there's more of Melinda's story to come. If this is the beginning of a series, I'm definitely curious to see where it takes her next!"
