Chapter 1
Vishal Agnihotri
Vishal Agnihotri had lived his life on his own terms. Detached, solitary, and resolutely uninterested in matters of the heart, he believed relationships were nothing more than distractions. A man of few words and fewer attachments, he always kept people at armās length. His focus was on his career, his goalsānothing else mattered. Romance? Commitment? He had no place for such things in his life.
But fate, it seemed, had other plans. One championship win, one drink, one mistake, and Vishal found himself waking up to a reality that didn't make sense. A marriage he couldnāt remember, a person he couldn't place in his mind, and an unspoken bond that would shackle him in ways he never imagined. His indifference to love was shattered in one reckless moment, and suddenly, he was caught in a web of obsession that was slowly suffocating him.
...
The tension between them was palpable. Vishalās heart raced, his mind a chaotic mess of defiance and confusion. He tried to break free, to find some semblance of control, but the man before him, the one who held his life in a vice-like grip, wasnāt going to let him go.
"You think you can run away from me?" The voice was dark, dripping with menace. The man moved closer, his breath hot against Vishalās ear. "After everything that happened that night in that hotel... youāre dreaming."
Vishal barely had time to react before he was slammed against the wall, the impact stunning him. His breath hitched, but the manās gaze never waveredāintense, unwavering, as if he owned him completely. His hands gripped Vishalās wrists, pinning him in place.
"Enough with the games, Vishal," the man growled, the words low and deadly. "This is the last time Iām telling you... Youāre mine now. Sign the damn papers. Stop fighting it."
Vishal struggled, but the man was relentless. The cold, calculating intensity in his eyes sent a shiver down Vishalās spine. His will to resist was slipping away, crushed under the weight of the promise in the manās voice.
The manās lips brushed against his ear, a final whisper that made Vishal's blood run cold. "I wonāt divorce you. Not in this life. Not in any other life."
Vishalās body froze, his breath shaky as the full weight of those words sank in. There was no escape. Not now. Not ever.
