Summary

Is it worth the risk to fall in love again?

Maya St. James has fallen in love with someone who’s not even hers. What has started as a whirlwind summer romance ends in layers of secrets and lies. To move on, Maya has focused on herself and continues to write in her journal. While also starting another romance with someone else. This is her story.

Opening Prologue: Falling in love can feel like sky-diving, it can be shocking and all-consuming. How love can make you want to do everything to make the person cared for and appreciated. At least that’s how I felt. He had made me seen stars, feel like I was worthh it and for all of it to come crashing down the moment I saw the truth of what he hid from me, makes me believe it was all a fanatsy. Except, it wasn’t one-sided, neither was it well known either. What started as fun turned into something so serious in the following months he had shown me what he was, that I’d swear that he was the one for me. I felt like such a fool, wearing rose colored glasses way too soon, and the warnings I have heard and the betrayal that followed. I should’ve listened. I should’ve known. I wish I could take it all back, but I can’t. I now only have the memories, and endless poetry in my pocket. I am getting ahead of myself here. Let me start at the very beginnig.
