The Curse of the Goddesses
The crimson sky bled over the Kingdom of Vareth. Smoke and ashes twisted through the air as the temples of the goddesses lay in ruins.
King August had done more than forbid magic he had slaughtered nearly all of their faithful.
The blood of witches stained his steps, and the cries of the innocent echoed across the valley.
From the heavens, the goddesses watched.
Eris, the goddess of Witchcraft, raised her hand, her eyes blazing with fury.
"His arrogance has crossed every boundary. The king and his kingdom shall pay the price!"
Hecate, keeper of fate, added,
"From this injustice, our wrath shall be born. No human shall escape…"
A searing light engulfed the land, as the goddesses cast their curse:
“Whoever stands against us…
and destroys our children…
shall see their kingdom fall,
and the souls of the innocent become slaves of darkness.”
The earth trembled, clouds darkened, and an unseen power called to the surviving witches of the First Coven.
The curse had begun.
The kingdom was doomed.
And from the ashes, one would rise the Queen of Shadows.
