First step Towards her Revange .!
First step Toward,s Her Revenge
Chapter 1
Morning in Dehradun
The morning sun rose slowly over the beautiful valleys of Dehradun, making the already charming city look even more breathtaking. Soft golden rays of sunlight spread everywhere, painting the surroundings with warmth and beauty.
At that same moment, inside the principal’s office of one of the most prestigious institutions in the city—Dehradun University, a very different scene was unfolding.
Standing in front of the principal’s desk were the members of the university girls’ basketball team.
The principal looked at the girls with immense pride. A victorious smile appeared on his face—like a general who had just won a great battle. Anyone who looked into his eyes could easily see how happy he was at that moment.
Beside him stood the team coach, who gave him a small signal.
Understanding the hint, the principal looked carefully at the girls standing in front of him and said cheerfully,
“I am proud of you, girls.”
Hearing this, confusion appeared on everyone's faces.
What had they done so special that their principal was praising them like this early in the morning?
The girls looked at one another, silently asking through their eyes—
“What happened? Does anybody have any idea?”
Seeing their confused expressions, Mr. Sharma, the principal, smiled slightly.
He observed the group carefully.
There were only eleven girls standing there.
One team member was missing.
Ah… so that’s the reason, he thought.
That’s why they were so confused.
Because the backbone of the team wasn’t here.
The one they called—
Miss Max.
Miss Right.
Miss Perfect.
And none of those titles would be wrong.
She was the pride of the entire university and the captain of the basketball team — Mahima Narayan.
Mr. Sharma opened a drawer from his desk and took out an envelope, then extended it toward the team.
The girls stared at the envelope curiously, trying to guess what it could be. But none of them understood anything.
Just then, a girl stepped forward.
Her name was Jiya Singh, the vice-captain of the team.
She took the envelope from Mr. Sharma’s hand and opened it.
Taking out the letter inside, she began reading it.
Within seconds, a bright smile appeared on her face.
Looking at everyone excitedly, she almost shouted,
“This is an invitation letter for our basketball finals match!”
Everyone froze.
Jiya continued loudly,
“Our finals match is against Delhi University’s team, and it will be held in Bangalore University!”
Actually, this university had branches in several cities, and every year a tournament was held between the branches.
The matches usually happened at the end of May.
This year was special because Dehradun University had participated in the tournament for the first time.
And in their very first attempt…
They had reached the finals.
Because of this achievement, the entire university was celebrating.
Everyone already knew about it.
Everyone… except these girls.
Mr. Sharma shook his head in disappointment.
Where were these girls so busy that they didn’t know the biggest news of their own team?
Meanwhile, after hearing Jiya’s announcement, the girls screamed with excitement and hugged each other tightly.
It was a loud group hug full of happiness.
But the moment they noticed Mr. Sharma’s face—
They quickly tried to control their excitement.
Because their principal was not only kind…
He was also very strict.
Mr. Sharma stopped Jiya and told the rest of the girls to go back to their classes.
Hearing this, the students left for their classrooms.
Once everyone was gone, Mr. Sharma looked at Jiya with a serious face and asked,
“Where is your captain… Miss Max?”
Miss Max’s real name was Mahima Narayan.
Mahima was a 21-year-old intelligent and extremely beautiful girl.
Everyone in the university called her Max, because the name perfectly suited her personality—
Cool. Bold. Sharp.
Just like her.
Jiya nervously replied,
“Sir… Max is on leave today.”
Mr. Sharma’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Leave?” he murmured.
Then he dismissed Jiya.
The moment she got permission, Jiya ran away like someone was chasing her.
Mr. Sharma thought for a moment.
Then he stood up, picked up his coat from the chair, wore it, grabbed his car keys, and walked out.
His face had become very serious.
After driving for some time, Mr. Sharma stopped his car near the entrance of a dense forest.
Tall trees of almost the same height filled the forest, and a narrow path made of stone steps led inside.
Mr. Sharma began walking along that path.
After a while, he reached a magnificent temple of Gautama Buddha.
Since it was located deep inside the forest, very few people visited this place.
The atmosphere was always peaceful and calm.
Behind the temple was a large lotus pond, filled with countless varieties of blooming lotuses.
Their beauty was mesmerizing.
Mr. Sharma walked toward the pond.
There, sitting on a large stone near the water, was a girl with her back facing him.
Even the beautiful scenery around seemed dull compared to her presence.
Mr. Sharma called out,
“Max.”
Hearing her name, the girl turned around.
She was about 5'6" tall, with a perfectly balanced figure.
Her deep black eyes were so intense that anyone could easily lose themselves in them.
Her long black hair flowed down to her waist, thick and silky.
Her fair skin and sharp facial features made her look almost flawless.
She was Mahima Narayan — Max.
By nature she was calm, but equally smart.
Max rarely mixed with people.
Or maybe she simply didn’t want to.
It was hard to tell.
Except for a few close friends and acquaintances, she remained neutral with almost everyone.
Considering her looks and intelligence, people often described her as—
“A perfect combination of beauty and brain…
A perfect Miss Right.”
Mr. Sharma sat down on the stone beside her, leaving some distance.
Max showed no reaction.
Uff… this girl could react a little, Mr. Sharma thought.
At that moment, he wasn’t just her university principal.
He looked at her and said,
“The basketball tournament letter has arrived. Your team is in the finals.”
Without even looking at him, Max replied quietly,
“Yes… I know.”
Her eyes were fixed on the calm lotus pond.
Mr. Sharma followed her gaze.
She was looking at her own reflection in the water.
He asked slowly,
“Max… is your decision final?
Are you sure you want to go there?”
Mahima didn’t reply.
It was as if she hadn’t even heard him.
After a moment, Mr. Sharma spoke again gently,
“Mahima… you are my friend’s daughter. That makes you like my own daughter too.
Before your father and grandfather left this world, they entrusted your responsibility to me.
Three years ago, I told you to start a new life.
And today… after three years… I’m saying the same thing again.
Forget everything.
Start a new life.
And that new beginning should start from Bangalore.
After all, in a way… it is your father’s city.”
He even tried to lighten the atmosphere with a small smile.
But it didn’t work.
Mahima’s face remained expressionless.
But in her eyes…
There was a strange hatred.
And Mr. Sharma didn’t miss it.
After a moment he said firmly,
“Come on. Let’s go back to college.
Tomorrow you and your team leave for Bangalore.”
Max stood up silently.
Before leaving, she glanced at the Buddha temple.
Looking at it, she whispered softly to herself—
“So my new beginning will happen…
But with the end of many people.
And that end…
will begin from Bangalore.”
Her voice was so low that Mr. Sharma couldn’t hear it.
“Max, let’s go,” he called again.
Mahima followed him quietly.
Seeing this, Mr. Sharma finally breathed in relief.
The next morning, outside the airport, Mr. Sharma, the basketball coach, and the entire team were waiting for Max.
After some time, they saw her approaching from a distance.
Everyone sighed in relief.
Because their most punctual captain had never been late before.
Max apologized for being late and explained that she was calling her aunt to inform her about coming to Bangalore.
After that, the entire team walked inside the airport together to board their flight.
Their journey toward Bangalore had begun.
And so had something else…
Something far more dangerous.
