The index finger stopped on the chosen story. The figure stretched out their arms to widen the width and length of the chosen tab. Words appeared as the figure touched the stories summary section. Across the landscape of the meadow the rising sun painted the grassy lands and flowers as it rose behind from the mountains. The rays reached a town not far from the grassy landscape. The warm sun hit a sign. Oranges and yellow hues glowed at the words on it. Hillberry. This town was in the middle of the valley known as sunrise falls. This got the name because of the huge waterfalls set off not far from the town. The rays of light began racing across each of the roads as it stopped at the last house on the chosen street. Sunset street. The house had concrete walking tracks while on the path to the door roses hugged the edges. Up the stairs Daisies and pink Lillys where then painted as the rays of sunshine painted them. Up to the window on the right pink curtains would be in eyesight for those who walked by. Fading into the curtains an alarm clock was seen reaching to exactly 8:00. By the time 7:59 passed the alarm began what it was made to do. Beep Beep! It rang out loud. To the side of the bench lay someone.

They began to stir under the covers as the alarm reached their ears. “Ugh This stupid Alarm” They complained. A hand reached out to the metal box and their hand search for the button to shut it off. Click. It shut off quickly. The person retrieved their hand and used both as leverage to pull themself up. As the covers rolled off their body a voice could be heard. “Tulia! Time to get ready for your first day at high school”. Tulia groaned as she whipped out her feet from under the covers. Today was the day she goes to high school. And because of it she was not prepared for anything that life would throw her way. She got up from the bed and made her way to the closet where her uniform was hidden. Her arms reached forward and she parted the closet door open. There it was! There lay her uniform before her eyes. For the top it had a green swirl across it with blue flowers climbing from the from to the back. The shorts had three C’s. Red, yellow and blue. Each represented the three words. Compassion, Confidence and Complete. These define what the school stands on.

Tulia grabbed the coat hanger and turned to dig in her cupboards to look for her hair and shower products. She then walked over to the door with her supplies in hand as she reached for the doorknob. Her hand turned it as she opened the door. This revealed a clean hallway leading to the kitchen. On the left to her side was the family shower. She yawned as she called out to her mother. “Mum I’m going for a quick bath, and I’ll be down in 10 minutes”. Her mother replied” Okay but don’t be in there for too long?!”. Tulia walked over to the bathroom and opened the door.

Steam was in the air as Tulia made her way down the hall to the kitchen. “What you cooking Mum?” she said. As she rounded the corner there standing was her mother. She had golden skin with brownish and red hair. This also paired a fit body with a round face and soft facial features. Tulia resembled her mother more but had her father’s eyes only. Her mother was named Kelly Sosa O’Hara. She would only prefer Jonhson though. Her mom turned around and smiled at her daughter. “Well dear daughter as you can smell I am preparing you and your dad’s Favorite” she giggled as she stirred the pot around. “Coconut chicken curry! Yes!” Tulia exclaimed with joy Her mother laughed at her reaction but also decided to remind Tulia. “Tulia honey can you tell your father on the monitor to come down to have breakfast.”. Tulia nodded her head and turned to her right to go to the monitor on the wall. Her index finger pressed the button as she reached it. “Dad! Hurry down to breakfast Mum made Coconut curry!” Tulia informed her father. A static sound seems to be heard before a deep voice replied. “Okay I’ll be on my way!”. Tulia huffed out in relief as she turned back to the kitchen. She took a seat near the table and waited for her mother to serve their breakfast.

Heavy footsteps could be heard from the stairs as it ascended down them. There revealed a buff man with red hair. He had an army buzz cut paired with blue eyes that stand out. His facial features were very sharp that complimented his pale skin. Along his muscled arms there was a tattoo of Tulia’s and mother’s name. He was wearing the local Hillberry police uniform and chief badge. Yep... her dad was the head chief of the police department. They call him the red belly beast because of his fiery temper and calculated plans that always was a success. But his real name is Daniel Johnson. Her mother and father got married after Tulia was born but she could see why her mum like the name. Her father was a gentleman, most of the time. “Alright what my girls doing?” Her father asked as his arm stretched out. Tulia’s mother chuckled as she began to pour the soup onto the plate. The rice was already on. Tulia groaned as replied “Ugh! DAD! I have school Today!”. Her father crossed his arms over his chest. “Tulie I don’t see the reason why school is such a bad thing?” he asked scratching his head. Before Tulia could answer her mother beat her to it. ”Your daughter starts her first day at High school Dannie”. Her dad made an ‘0’ face to understand why she felt this way. Fixing his expression he walked over to Tulia. He sat down and patted her back. “It’s okay Tulie, everything will be rough but good things will come your way”. “Also ,NO boys” he emphasized on ‘No’. Tulia giggle a bit. Her father smiled at her reaction. Tulia put her hand on her chest as the other slide the plate of food towards her. “Fine I won’t dad”. Her dad satisfied enough dragged his plate towards him. He picked up the fork in hand and began eating. Tulia rolled her eyes playfully as her mother sat next to her and started eating Aswell. Tulia grabbed a spoon and dug into the food with only one thought in her head.

‘Welp... I hope I survive my first day at school’.

Tulia was seated on the doorway bench putting on her shoes while she called out to her mother. They had just finished breakfast when they all looked at the clock on the wall. 8:50. They all were late. So, everyone rushed to get things ready fast. Her mother began cleaning; her dad literally jumped over the bench to get to his work car and Tulia ran out to the hallway door to put on her shoes. But back to what Tulia was doing. “Mum! I’m heading off now” she shouted. All she heard was a ‘yeah’ from the kitchen. Tulia took the incitive to rush out the doors but before she could run out that door. “Tulia don’t forget your bag!”. “Right...” Tulia whispered to herself before she rushed back to her room. After she bolted out with her backpack on her she was on the pathway. Along the way, there were other houses with the same models as her own. Except the blue house up the street. On a hill far from the sunset street there was the blue house. From there you could see the whole town. It was like living on a look out property, which it was. But the twisted thing about it was that no one even step foot in that house. Tulia shivered at the thought to go there but as they say, ’There's no place like Hillberry!’. That saying was the only thing anybody really knew but she knew otherwise. The pathway continued down the street as it connected with the Applewood and Tannery Streets. Along the paths some house had flower beds up to the fences and others had a whole jungle for a garden.

Tulia noticed some other people wearing the same uniform as her as they headed to their destination. She had to cross a couple of more roads and streets but by 9:33 she was able to reach the building. There stand three feet in front of her.’HillberryHigh’. Most kids in this place would dream to come to this sanctuary. Its history has always been what interested Tulia. Some rumors from the locals say that this appeared out of nowhere when the town was still being built. Maybe...It was just an unfinished building that was decided to be ahigh school. She shrugged and began crossing the road to get to the office.

’Let’s hope all goes well...’
