Chapter 1
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Zosh who lived in a small town in the United Kingdom. He was very different from the other kids because he was a quiet child. He would just go to school, study, and come back home. He had no friends. Zosh lived with his stepfather because his mother had remarried and she loved her other children more, paying little attention to Zosh. He always stayed immersed in his own world. Zosh had a hobby; he was very good at writing stories. Every night, he would write and complain to God in his heart, asking why his life was like this. One day, at school, some kids bothered him a lot. When he tried to speak up, they hit him. When he returned home, his family also scolded him. He went to his room crying. That night, Zosh sat down to write a story. He was very upset because the world was cruel. As he was writing and talking to God in his heart, he glanced at the window and saw a shadow outside. Curious, he went to the window and saw someone running in the distance. Zosh quietly went downstairs and opened the door to follow. As he searched, he saw a bright light far away. His heart wondered what it could be. He started moving toward the light. Near his town was a small forest. He kept following the light and, when he got closer, he was surprised to see a ball lying there. As he tried to pick it up, the ball moved forward. At first, he was scared, but then he chased it. After a while, the ball stopped near a cave. He turned on his torch and entered the cave, his fear growing with every step. Suddenly, he saw a small puddle glowing on the ground. The ball fell into it. Shocked, Zosh looked closely, but saw nothing. As he was turning to leave, someone pulled him into the water. At first, it was hard to breathe, but soon he reached a place like a dream world. There was a vast open field with glowing grass, large butterflies, and shiny dust in the night sky. Everything glowed. Then he noticed the ball again, and it suddenly turned into his father. Zosh was frightened, but his father smiled and said, "How are you, my son?" Zosh remained silent, then said, "I'm fine, but who are you? My father is dead; you cannot be my father." The man smiled and explained, "You are in a world where people come after they die." Zosh was dizzy and fainted. When he opened his eyes, he was on his bed, with a doctor, his stepfather, and his mother around him. They asked, "What were you doing in the forest?" Zosh said he was in a cave. They laughed, "There is no cave here. You were unconscious in the forest, and we followed your footprints. From now on, you cannot go outside the house." A few days later, Zosh started thinking of that incident as a dream. One night, as usual, he was writing his story when he heard a sound from his cupboard. Scared, he opened it and found the same ball bouncing. It seemed like it wanted to tell him something. He picked up the ball, which led him to the basement, to a box belonging to his father. Inside was a book titled "Way To Dream World." He opened it and found some mantras he could not understand. As he turned pages, he found a ritual translated by his father for him. It said that if he placed what he loved most into the diary and slept, it would become real when he woke up. Zosh wondered how all this could happen—first the cave, now this.
