🌾Before Reading🌾
Hello:
First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
If you like it, please help me out by giving it a like 😊
Before you start reading, I want to make a few important clarifications:
Hinomoto Monogatari: The Camellia and the Kitsune is a serialized novel. What you are about to read is only the first part of several.
🪭 Chapters marked with this emoji are those related to the world I created: stories from the past, documents, decrees, etc. You can skip them if you wish; they won’t affect your understanding of the main story.
Although this story is inspired by Japanese folklore and mythology, and the name “Hinomoto” is an archaic way of referring to Japan, all characters and situations are fictional and belong to me. Some images are also fictional, and I will provide further explanation as I share them.
Please do not use them without my permission.
This is a romantic fantasy novel, although you won’t find much romance in this first part, as the story focuses more on world-building and character development.
Since the story contains many Japanese terms, I’ve done my best to explain any unfamiliar ones.
If you encounter any confusing terms while reading, please leave them in the comments, and I’ll gladly answer them as soon as possible.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been supporting me with the artwork for this story.
This project is very special to me: I’ve been working on it for over four years, and only now have I decided to share it with the world.
That’s why I’ve tried to ensure that the writing is not only as good as possible but also that readers can visualize the characters through artwork commissioned from talented artists.
While I would love to have illustrations of all my characters, my budget is limited. For now, I hope you enjoy the images I upload to social media and that you support these amazing artists, even if it’s just by liking and following them.
Perhaps the ideal would have been to maintain a single artistic style, but the truth is, I couldn’t choose.
So you’ll see Izanami and Yoritsune portrayed in various styles.
To support their work and mine, please follow me and them on our social media accounts, which I’ll link below.
You can found extra content, illustrations, fun facts about Japan, and story updates there. Althoug, all this content is in spanish.
Speaking of which, this story was originally written in Spanish, which is my native language.
I’m not an expert in English, much less a translator, so if you find mistakes or have difficulty understanding, I apologize. Although I try my best, I may not always have been able to express myself correctly in English.
Without further ado, I hope you enjoy this story into which I’ve poured my heart and soul.
