“Peace. Or is it?”
After those months of having to battle with Ecliptus everyone was tired. The avengers’ compound was quiet but warm everyone was just resting. Peace at last
A few days later the avengers and the Maximoff woke up in a beautiful morning.
Sunlight poured through the wide big windows of the compound. The sky was bright blue, the training grounds looks calm after weeks of training and breaking grass.
For about 5 mins… everything was peaceful.
Until
Tommy came running down the hallways at full speed.
“MOVE MOVE MOVE”
As he ran he came crashing down in the kitchen. Billy heard the noise then teleported right away.
“what happened?”
Tommy then pointed behind billy
“breakfast happened”
Standing there tony stark stood in front of a smoking toaster.
“I have no idea how this happened”
Billy blinked, looked at the burned toast, then raised an eyebrow
“you burned the toast”
Peitro looked up from his
“You put the bread in for ten minutes.”
Tony looked at him.
“It said ‘high heat.’”
Pietro shrugged.
“That usually means one minute.”
Then after a while wanda walked out the hallways.
“why does it smell like burnt toast here, and why is the toaster on fire”
billy then quietly slid the toaster on the sink using his telekinesis
“good morning mom” tommy said leaning on the counter
From a wall, Vision entered, perfectly composed despite the chaos.
“I believe the toaster has just experienced what humans refer to as… catastrophic failure.”
Tony pointed at vision
“see even he agrees with me”
Vision pointed at the toaster
“……I was referring…… to the toaster…………”
Then the twins burstedw out laughing
Soon everyone gathered outside
The open field was bright, calm and peaceful.
But the peace only lasted for 3 and a half seconds before a blue-silver blur shot across the field while a green-blue blur chased it.
Pietro shouted while sprinting past the trees
“YOU’RE SLOWING DOWN!”
Behind him Tommy zipped past like a green lightning bolt.
“YOU’RE JUST OLD!”
The wind from them racing knocked over three training cones and sent a stack of mats flying across the field.
Billy sat on the grass watching the chaos like it was a normal Tuesday.
“and they are racing again”
Pietro stopped in front of billy.
“he just called me old didn’t he?”
“you’re his uncle basically” billy replied back
Pietro crossed his arms, looked deeply offended.
“I died young. I refuse to be called old.”
Tommy slid to a stop nearby.
“You complain like someone who’s forty.”
Pietro gasped dramatically.
“I regret coming back.”
Billy calmly took a sip of his drink.
“No you don’t.”
Across the field, Wanda watched the chaos with crossed arms.
Beside Vision observed the field like he was analyzing a natural disaster.
Back at the field Tommy and Pietro suddenly took off again
This time running in circles around Billy.
Wind blasted across the grass.
Billy’s hair flew everywhere.
Wanda sighed.
“This is why we can’t have peaceful mornings.”
Vision wrapped his arm around wanda’s shoulder then nodded
“Peace in this family lasts approximately seven minutes.”
Back at the field they boys are still running in circles around billy.
“Guys—” Billy said, squinting through the wind, “I’m literally standing right here.”
Tommy shouted while speeding past.
“YOU’RE THE FINISH LINE!”
Pietro zoomed past on the other side.
“NO HE’S THE STARTING LINE!”
Billy sighed.
The wind grew stronger as the two speedsters kept circling him.
Leaves flew everywhere.
One of the training cones rolled across the field.
Billy’s jacket lifted slightly from the wind.
Suddenly billy raised his hands, then the two stopped mid air.
Tommy blinked
“HEY NO FAIR”
Billy stood up brushing off grass from his jacket
“you two are creating a tornado around me and destroying the grass.”
Then he dropped them back onto the ground.
The second they landed—
They both immediately dashed off again.
Billy rubbed his forehead.
“I walked into that one.”
From the side of the field Tony Stark yelled while holding a tablet.
“IF YOU TWO BREAK THE TRAINING FIELD AGAIN I’M SENDING YOU THE BILL!”
Tommy sped past him.
“Put it on Billy!”
Billy looked up.
“WHY ME?”
Pietro zoomed by laughing.
“Because you’re the responsible one!”
Billy stared at him.
“That makes zero sense.”
Meanwhile Steve stood with his arms crossed, watching Tommy and Pietro zig-zag across the field.
“They’re going to run into a tree.”
Right on cue
Tommy and Pietro both stopped inches from a tree trunk.
They looked at each other.
Tommy shrugged.
“That was close.”
Pietro nodded.
“Very close.”
Steve shook his head.
“I don’t even know why I try.”
Billy walked over to Wanda.
“You see what I deal with?”
Wanda smiled slightly.
“You’re part of it.”
Billy looked back at the field.
Tommy and Pietro were now arguing about who almost hit the tree first.
Billy sighed but smiled a little.
“Yeah… I guess I am.”
Wanda gently nudged his shoulder.
“Besides… you love them.”
Billy glanced at his mom.
“…Don’t tell them that.”
Behind them Tommy shouted across the field.
“HEY BILLY WE HEARD THAT!”
Pietro laughed.
“SUPER HEARING!”
Billy groaned.
“You guys are impossible.”
Tommy grinned.
“You’d be bored without us.”
Billy thought about it for a second.
Then nodded.
“…Probably.”
The field was loud again.
Speedsters arguing.
Tony yelling about property damage.
Thor offering to race people.
Steve trying to keep order.
And Wanda watching it all with a quiet smile.
It was chaotic.
But warm.
And after everything they had been through…
It felt like home.
The next day, Billy went out to buy supplies to fix the field.
The training ground still looked like a small tornado had attacked it thanks to Pietro and Tommy.
Billy stood in a gardening store staring at shelves full of artificial grass rolls.
His cart was already overfilled.
“I guess this is fine?” he muttered, looking at the mountain of fake grass stacked inside the cart.
A store employee walked by slowly, staring at the pile.
“Uh… starting a football stadium?”
Billy blinked.
“…Family accident.”
The employee nodded like he did not want to ask any more questions.
A little later, Billy returned to the compound.
Instead of going straight to the field, he carried the rolls of grass directly into his lab.
He placed one piece on the large worktable and crossed his arms, thinking.
“If Tommy and Pietro run on this…” he muttered.
He poked the grass.
“It’s going to explode.”
He sighed.
“Okay… stronger grass it is.”
Blue magic slowly formed around his fingers.
Billy hovered the fake grass in the air and began experimenting.
First, he reinforced the fibers with telekinesis, tightening them together.
Then he slowly pushed controlled energy through the material, trying to make it more durable.
The grass glowed faintly.
Billy leaned closer, focused.
“Maybe if I bind the structure together…”
The grass suddenly snapped loudly and shot across the room.
Billy ducked.
The piece of grass smacked into a wall and slid down.
Billy blinked.
“…Okay not that.”
He grabbed another piece.
This time he tried a different approach.
He slowed time slightly around the grass, letting him adjust every tiny strand carefully.
He rewove the fibers with precision using telekinesis, tightening them layer by layer.
Then he sealed it with a small pulse of magic.
The grass dropped onto the table.
Billy poked it.
Nothing happened.
He pushed harder.
Still nothing.
Billy grinned.
“Oh that’s way better.”
He threw the grass onto the floor and stomped on it.
It barely moved.
Billy nodded proudly.
“Perfect.”
Right then the lab door opened.
Pietro leaned inside.
“Hey Billy-”
Before he finished the sentence, a green blur rushed past him.
Tommy zipped into the lab.
“HEY BILLY WE-”
He stepped on the test grass.
It didn’t move.
Tommy blinked.
He stomped harder.
Still nothing.
Tommy looked down.
“…What is this?”
Billy crossed his arms proudly.
“Indestructible grass.”
Pietro walked over and kicked it.
His foot bounced slightly.
Pietro stared at Billy.
“You reinforced grass?”
Billy shrugged.
“You two destroyed the field.”
Tommy looked impressed.
“You made grass stronger than the training mats.”
Billy nodded.
“Science.”
Pietro grinned.
“This is terrifying.”
Tommy suddenly smiled.
“…Can we race on it?”
Billy immediately pointed at them.
“NO TESTING INSIDE MY LAB.”
Tommy and Pietro looked at each other.
Then both vanished in a blur.
Billy sighed.
“…they’re testing it outside.”
A loud WHOOSH echoed from the field.
Billy slowly walked toward the door.
“Well,” he muttered, “if the grass survives those two…”
He smirked slightly.
“…then it’s definitely ready.”
Then an alert was sounded, another mission. Then billy quickly went up.
Upstairs Natasha, tony, thor, clint, rhodey, wanda and vision are sitting around the round table of the compound while billy, Pietro and tommy were standing behind it.
steve was explaining what was the mission was about. While a hologram of a dangerous leader showed.
The projection showed the face of a man pale blue light outlining his sharp features and cold eyes.
Steve folded his arms.
“This is Alliane Drax,” he said. “You might recognize the last name.”
Tony sighed quietly. “Please tell me that’s not who I think it is.”
Steve nodded.
“He’s the older brother of Victor Drax.”
The hologram shifted, showing blueprints of a massive machine surrounded by advanced technology.
“After we defeated victor,” Steve continued, “Alliane disappeared. Intelligence suggests he’s been building something much bigger than anything his brother attempted.”
Natasha brought up another hologram, a strange energy device with multiple towers surrounding a glowing core.
“This machine is designed to release a massive atmospheric reaction,” she explained. “If activated, it could poison large portions of Earth’s atmosphere.”
Clint lowered his pen slowly. “Meaning…?”
Vision answered calmly.
“Human life would struggle to survive in those conditions.”
The room fell silent.
Thor stepped forward, anger in his voice.
“This man seeks the destruction of Midgard itself.”
Steve nodded.
“Part of his motivation is revenge for his brother. But that’s not the only reason.”
The hologram changed again, revealing files and research.
“Years ago,” Steve said, “Alliane was a brilliant scientist. His work was rejected by multiple governments and research groups. After Victor’s death, he became convinced humanity is corrupt and undeserving of the world it lives on.”
Tony sighed. “Classic ‘wipe out humanity and start over’ plan.”
Natasha zoomed in on the structure.
“There’s another problem,” she added. “The facility is protected by an unstable energy core. If we damage it the wrong way, the reaction could trigger early.”
Rhodey frowned.
“So we have to shut the whole thing down carefully.”
Steve looked around the room.
“That’s the mission. We infiltrate the facility, disable the device, and stop Alliane before he finishes his plan.”
Behind the table, Tommy whispered to Billy.
“Yeah… that sounds easy.”
Pietro smirked slightly. “You say that every time.”
Billy stared at the hologram. Something about the energy inside the machine felt strange like a faint pulse pressing against his mind.
Vision noticed Billy looking uneasy but stayed quiet.
Steve finished.
“We leave immediately.”
Later
The Avengers arrived at the hidden facility.
The building was massive, metal towers surrounding a glowing core deep inside the structure.
They moved quickly.
Tony and Rhodey cleared security drones.
Thor shattered reinforced doors.
Tommy and Pietro raced through corridors, disabling systems.
Billy and Wanda focused on containing the unstable energy surrounding the core.
For a moment, it looked like the mission might work.
Natasha reached the central console.
“I’m shutting it down now.”
Then the alarms suddenly changed tone.
Vision’s eyes widened slightly.
“Captain… the machine is already entering activation.”
Steve looked up.
“What? That’s impossible.”
Natasha checked the system again.
“No… wait…”
Her voice tightened.
“This isn’t the real control center.”
Tony frowned.
“You mean—”
“This is a decoy,” she said.
Suddenly the core surged with energy.
Across the walls, hidden screens flickered on.
A message appeared in glowing text:
ACTIVATION SEQUENCE COMPLETE
The room shook as the machine released a massive pulse of energy into the sky.
Billy tried to contain it with his magic, but the power was already spreading beyond the facility.
Steve clenched his jaw.
“Everyone fall back!”
The Avengers escaped as the facility began collapsing behind them.
Outside, they watched the energy wave shoot into the clouds above.
Tony’s suit scanned the atmosphere.
“This… is bad.”
Steve stared at the sky.
They had come to stop the plan.
But they were too late.
Somewhere out there, Alliane Drax had just taken the first step toward destroying humanity.
