Mid book review.
"This has been tagged in my section for next in line for a while now, I started it when I saw it hit my notifications. I intended on 10 chapters as that is my standard for new books, to see if they are worth continuing. Now I find myself at chapter 30 and highly enjoying it. It follows a standard trope of a woman scorned, derided as weak, who refuses to fall and proves her detractors wrong in the process. She leaves the pack during a celebration and discovers several things about herself in the process, including her second chance mate. Her first being the Alpha to be who promised her protection but cast her aside when she was determined to be wolfless and weak. Love the misogyny in these things, for a society that worships a female goddess? They are remarkably unable to see worth in women in general. There is one strange feature of this book so far. The Female Main character, FMC, Novi seems to make intuitive leaps of knowledge with no shown way that she should know them. She shows up in her mates castle and a day later knows the inner workings of the castle and the battle plans for the weak, just one example. It's like coming into a book halfway through and not reading the earlier parts, you just have to take it on faith. There's a shadow organization behind the attacks, which is also standard for this type of thing. Now, let's see where the rest of the book takes us. "
