The Hallway that knows (one shot)
The Hallway That Knows
“Have you heard a story about everyone being scared of a transferee?”
One day, in a school called Golden Highschool, there was a very happy classroom—Classroom B-7. The place was filled with laughter, jokes, and joy.
“Mom, I am so excited to go to Golden Highschool! I will finally move to a different school because the last one was—” said a girl named Mira Takahashi.
“Right? I hope you feel better here in the province. I hope you don’t experience and remember the things that happened in your old school,” said Anna Takahashi, her mother.
Then one day, the two finally arrived in the province. Her mother talked to the principal.
“I hope my daughter doesn’t experience the negative energies she experienced before.”
“What? What negative energies?” said Mr. Fuji.
“In her old school, the lockers kept making sounds, the lights flickered, and the doors opened without anyone touchi—”
“Oh, ma’am, that never happens here. I hope your daughter is doing well now.”
“When will she start, ma’am?”
“I hope next week. I also hope that her new classmates will be good to her.”
The next week
The class was noisy, fun, and joyful.
“Class, sit down. Today, we have a transferee. Please introduce yourself to your classmates.”
“H-Hello, classmates… I-I’m Mi—”
“Oh my God, grow up, girl. Are you a kindergartner who always stutters about everything?” said Yuki, a famous girl on campus.
“I-I’m so-sorry…”
It wasn’t easy for Mira. She didn’t make any friends. It was just her, by herself.
The next day
In the hallway, Yuki was alone. Suddenly, the lights flickered—then went out. A door made a loud sound.
“WHAT KIND OF PRANK IS THIS?” Yuki said fearfully.
Because of her fear, she cut classes and went home. That one scenario made her feel… not normal. She thought she was being played by a ghost, a spirit, or something supernatural.
Then she heard voices in her head.
“It’s the transferee…”
“Help me…”
“Ahh…”
“Mira…”
“I will kill you…”
Then she thought—what if it really was the transferee?
She suddenly remembered the bad thing she did to Mira the day before.
The next day
Yuki tried confronting Mira about it. Mira didn’t know what she was talking about.
“Oh my gosh… is my trauma going to happen again?” Mira thought.
⸻
After that, the school began to feel… not normal. But this time, it happened to everyone on campus.
The lights flickered. The lockers made sounds. The doors twitched.
Everyone felt scared.
Everyone heard voices—whispers.
Then the lights came back.
Boom.
One of their classmates, Marie, died. Her organs were out, and her head was crushed like she had been hit by a car.
Everyone got scared. Some passed out. Yuki stayed silent.
When the principal found out about it, she thought the transferee had something to do with it.
Students became overwhelmed. The school decided to send everyone home early.
The next day
Mira didn’t attend school.
The principal took the chance to tell everyone about Mira’s past.
“Everyone, I know that scary things are happening in our school. And maybe… it’s because of the transferee. She had a dark past. Paranormal activities were experienced in her old school,” said the principal.
“SEE? I KNEW IT! IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF THAT BASTARD!” Yuki shouted angrily.
Then it happened again.
The lights flickered. The lockers made sounds. The doors twitched.
Everyone cried, screamed, and asked for help.
Then the lights came back.
Another classmate died. His eye popped out, and there were bite marks on his neck.
“OH MY GOD! I CAN’T! THAT TRANSFEREE NEEDS TO DIE!” Yuki screamed.
Everyone agreed.
Then it happened again.
The lights flickered. The lockers made sounds. The doors twitched.
But this time, everyone was silent.
Then the lights came back.
Five more classmates died—together with the principal.
“THIS IS ABNORMAL! I CAN’T DO THIS ANYMORE!” one of the classmates shouted.
Since the principal was gone, the students decided to kill Mira once she attended class again.
The next day
When Mira attended class, everyone was silent.
Then suddenly—a knife reached her.
People started stabbing her.
Her eye popped out. Her organs were crushed.
It seemed like everyone was possessed.
Then the lights flickered again.
The lockers made sounds. The doors twitched.
Then the lights came back.
Three students survived: Yuki and two others.
The two students began to think—what if it was… Yuki?
Then Yuki killed them.
But Yuki didn’t know that the principal had already asked a priest to bless the school.
“Oh my… this is so creepy,” said the priest.
Then Yuki saw him.
“I—I can explain—”
“In the name of God! The evil that has possessed this girl—GO OUT!”
After many attempts, Yuki returned to normal.
“I’m so sorry… I didn’t know!”
Then Yuki explained everything that had happened.
After that, they both left the school and went home.
The scary things in the school… ended.
Final
One thing Yuki didn’t know:
The first time she experienced it, the electricity was not working properly. The doors moved because of the air.
Because of her stress, demons possessed her—turning everything into something real.
Yuki heard whispers telling her to kill people.
But by then…
Everyone was gone.
