Alice : in her Dreamland

It's a summer holiday .. I'm sitting under the tree in my backyard. Im 20 years old so I started to read some 18+ novels.

"Alice .. What are you reading ?" Freya my bestfriend shouting from her backyard...

"Do you want to read ? It helps you with your future love " I told her winking my left eyes with a noughty look on my face..

Freya is just 3 months younger than me so I always acts like her big sister even though we are same age...

Freya's face turned red hearing what I said she was nodding her head but suddenly she startled and turned back...

I thought it might be her mom or dad but when I saw that person my heart stopped beating....

"It's him...he's back" I whispered .. his fairy, angelic face popped on the fence where Freya stood..

"What are you nodding about ? Alice .. " he asked Freya then looked at me saying my name nodding lightly at me..

I was just petrified but hearing my name rolling on his tongue give me a fluttering feel inside me..

I couldn't say anything for a while but I was about to greet him but then I remembered an incident. It was 2 years back ... After that day I didn't want to think about him.. so I burried myself reading novels and became a introvert.

Freya understood my feelings... Even Liam too.. I didn't sit there but went back to my room straight without looking back... I couldn't stop my heart from beating.. I was nervous, anxious, scared .. it's not his fault but it's related to him...

Soon it's night... I didn't know when I slept and wokeup by the knock in my door .. I didn't even know when I locked the door..

"Alice ... Dinner is ready.. " my dad said while standing outside the room knocking on my door . When I look at the clock it's 9 o clock . So I took shower and wear my pajama and went out to have dinner but to my surprise I saw Freya..

I know Freya lives next door but she won't come at dinner time she's a shy girl. But as I reached the hall I saw my dad , uncle Mason freya's dad and aunt Emily freya's mom sitting in the hall .. my mom was in Kitchen and as I was about to sit onthe couch near the window it's a small library my parents built for me last year a cozy place for me to read I spend most of my time with Freya sitting there and reading...

And don't underestimate Freya please.. she's shy girl when she's around my mom and dad and maintaining a good girl persona but she's not ... She is the bravest girl also naughty and kind girl.. she shows her different personalities to different person so it's hard to say which one is her. And extrovert who takes me out and I'm an introvert who anchors her crazy ideas.

As we were talking about someone we heard a door knock... My mom went to open the door as she was setting up the dining table for dinner...

It's Liam he came with some bags in his hands ..

" Hey.. Adam look who's here !" Mom told in surprise to my dad..

"Liam ! Man you are back ! " My Dad likes Liam a lot more than his own daughter...

" Hello aunt and uncle " Liya entered as he was greetings my mom and dad ..

"Let's go.. have dinner everyone is here... Alice , Freya come on " mom called us so we went and sit at the table...

It's a round table big enough for 8 people to dine. So we sat me and Freya together mom and aunt together and dad Liam and uncle together

Before we start our dinner Liam gave my dad , mom a bag which he bought when he came back to the city .. I didn't saw them and was sipping my water but then

"Here, Alice ... " I was jumped out of my thoughts when I heard my name... And saw Liam who was holding a small bag it was a jewellery I took out from him and give him a smile and nodded lightly as a gesture and

"Thank you Liam "

He nodded and we started our dinner... My dad and uncle discussing some business matters along with Liam and aunt Emily and my mom talking about some gossips...

Freya and me we were talking less and more focused on the food infront of us.. and discussing some gossips from our group chat like whispering them so others couldn't here us.

I didn't dare to look up cause I know Liam was looking at me while he was talking with them.. and I don't want to look at him so I distracted myself with the food..

As the dinner ended mom prepared some icecream as dessert.. she and aunt Emily was cleaning the kitchen and dining table so she let me serve the dessert to gentlemen who were sitting outside. So freay was preparing some drinks for them and I was scooping icecreamto the bowl for all of us. And served 3 bowls to the Gentlemen but as I went outside I only saw My dad and Uncle and didn't saw Liam anywhere..

"Where's He?" I asked my Dad..

"He might be inside your library " my dad said and so I rushed there because it's a forbidden place where all my novels are kept and most of the novels are 18+ . If you all thinking about my parents wouldn't mind ?

Yup.. they wouldn't mind as they don't want to meddle in my business and gave me full freedom
