Chapter 1
The transition from the Singing Canyons to the golden outskirts of Summer was a violent shift in the world’s palette. Behind them, the cool, echoing shadows of the sandstone pillars faded, replaced by a horizon that shimmered with a haze of rising heat. The air, once thick with the mineral sting of stone-dust, now carried the heavy, intoxicating scent of sun-baked resin and wild sunflowers.
Daisy adjusted the strap of her wine-barrel shield. The heat was beginning to bake the metal of her stew-pot breastplate, and her heavy iron ladle clanked with a sluggish rhythm against her hip. Beside her, high atop the aromatic pine logs, Poppyseed squinted into the glare. Her petal-red wings fluttered intermittently, like the heartbeat of a bird, as she scanned the road ahead.
The peace was shattered not by music, but by the jagged, discordant sounds of a struggle.
Rounding the final bend toward the border, the group was met with a spectacle that looked less like a roadside robbery and more like a collision in a paint shop.
The air was thick with a shimmering, iridescent dust that caught the afternoon sun, a brightly painted wagon, adorned with peeling gold leaf and a large, swaying sign that read Mok’s Magical Mechanical Marvels, sat tilted in a ditch. One of its wheels had been replaced by a sputtering, brass clockwork leg that kicked uselessly at the dirt, turning the space around Mok’s wagon into a kaleidoscopic haze.
The Rainbow Fey Goblins were a chaotic blur of motion. Their skin didn’t just hold color; it lived and breathed it. One goblin, the color of a bruised plum, dived from the wagon’s roof, leaving a trail of violet light in its wake, while another with skin like neon lime skittered across the road, its movements jerky and frantic.
The wagon itself was draped in a dozen small, screeching thieves. They clung to the gold-leafed railings with spindly, multi-colored fingers, their obsidian eyes wide with greed. Every time they pried at the brass-bound case, a new burst of light escaped—flashes of ruby red, electric sapphire, and sun-flare yellow as the Mechanical Mame rattled within.
The goblins’ laughter was like the tinkling of broken glass, high-pitched and melodic, clashing with the desperate shrieks of Mok. As they fought over the glowing orbs, their shifting skin tones began to bleed into one another, creating a dizzying, strobing effect that made it hard for the eye to focus. It was a riot of color against the golden backdrop of the Summer lands—a beautiful, frantic mess of stolen light and humming clockwork.
“Help! Help! My marvels! My mechanicals!” a voice shrieked from beneath the wagon.
Mok, a spindly gnome wearing a vest with so many pockets it looked like a honeycomb, was desperately trying to pull a small, brass-bound case back toward himself.
Bjorn
Bjorn jumps off the wagon and runs ahead. “Hands off the gnome!”
Bjorn
“you’ll stand down or I’ll wear that shiny skin as a loin cloth!”
@Daisy the Hedgehog grips her symbol of the Earth Mother and says a prayer of blessing to help her companions.
(bless level 2 everyone has bless)
@Poppyseed twirls in the air and begins to play a tune on the Panpipes of the Silver Wind, a vision of inspiration to the group.

@Poppyseed then moves up her musical notes whistling on the summer breeze towards @B Blue Rainbow Goblin
(casts Tasha’s hideous laughter)
The little blue Goblin drops to the ground laughing uncontrollably as it succumbs to the fairy’s magic.

@Bjorn moves 30 feet up, let’s out a scream and hurls one of his daggers at @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin (BA: Rage) (A: Throw Dagger +reckless)
@Bjorns dagger clatters to the ground at the @D Yellow Rainbow Goblins feet, causing @B Blue Rainbow Goblin to laugh even harder as it rolls around on the floor unable to control itself.
@E Green Rainbow Goblin runs into the forest as it reaches the greenery it turns waving to the group and practically vanishes from sight, its green colouration the perfect camouflage in the lush green forest around the roadside.
@C Orange Rainbow Goblin runs like the wind into the forest towards a distant rocky outcrop to the North West, its little legs moving so fast it seems to blur.
@F Violet Rainbow Goblin picks up the box of colourful sparkling mechanical mame and with a wink and a wave teleports away the sound of its high pitched laughter can be heard towards the North West.
@B Blue Rainbow Goblin continues its uncontrollable laughter like the sound of a shaking crystal chandelier.
@D Yellow Rainbow Goblin produces a strange silvery shimmering lasso and swings it towards @Bjorn.
The lasso loops around @Bjorn squeezing him tightly.
@Bjorn feels a strange sensation as if his colour was starting to be syphoned away.
@D Yellow Rainbow Goblin then produces a strange looking dagger that looks like a crystal prism, as the Rainbow Goblin attacks, the Prism Dagger glows with the same vivid yellow as the Rainbow Goblin.
But @Bjorn is able to miraculously avoid the attack even while lassoed.
@A Red Rainbow Goblin moves in to strike at @Bjorn with its Prism Dagger as Red and Yellow rub together the group sees the colours of the Rainbow Goblins rub off on each other and blend, leaving streaks of yellow, red, and orange on both Goblins.
The @A Red Rainbow Goblin strikes out but is unable to land a blow on @Bjorn as the Prism Dagger flares with a fiery red glow.

“Oh No Oh No my case of Magical Mechanical Mame!! That Violet Goblin has taken it!!”

my eyes glow and the sound of sleigh bells fills the air as I point at yellow goblin and lay the elf’s curse on him, nerving dex, I then first 2 Santa’s holiday cheer at him
The first blast of Santa’s Holiday Cheer misses its mark, but the second blast strikes the Yellow Rainbow Goblin hard.
@Poppyseed flitters up to the right of @Bjorn, in her hand a deck of cards, with a twirl and song a kaleidoscope of colours blasts forth in a cone as the energized cards fly towards @A Red Rainbow Goblin and @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin .
@A Red Rainbow Goblin is pummeled by the force of the cards, yet the creatures seem to be immune to the blinding spray of colours, @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin looks to be about to dodge out of the way, but the quick thinking fairy distracts the Rainbow Goblin with a flash of colour and fairy glamour causing the @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin to also be caught in the cone of colourful cards.
Both Rainbow Goblins received serious injury from the colourful and deadly display.
@Daisy the Hedgehog releases the prayer of bless, summoning the Earth Mothers spirit guardian, as a whirlwind of nature whips up, she moves to protect the little fairy standing between @Poppyseed and the Rainbow Goblins.
But only @A Red Rainbow Goblin is caught off guard as it is battered by the swirling vortex of the Earth Mothers Spirit Guardian.
The @A Red Rainbow Goblin badly injured and furious tries to lasso @Daisy the Hedgehog , but misses, following up with an attack with its Prism Dagger which strikes the Fey Hedgehog in a burst of fiery red colour and flame sparks.
But @Daisy the Hedgehog is able to maintain her concentration as she stands shield up against the angry Rainbow Goblin.
The @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin attacks @Bjorn once more with its Prism Dagger, hitting hard the crystal blade flashing a blinding yellow.
The lasso continues to drain the colour from @Bjorn as the Aarsimar starts to turn greyscale.
The @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin squeezes the lasso over its mouth, as colours drain from the lasso into the Rainbow Goblins mouth it seems to regain some of its vitality.
The @B Blue Rainbow Goblin continues to howl and laugh as it rolls on the floor unable to control itself.
The other coloured Rainbow Goblins seem to have run off.

ill continue my assault on yellow, “release bjorn now!”
Two charged balls of Santa’s Holiday Cheer slam into the @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin causing serious damage to the little creature.
@Poppyseed tosses a little fairy magic @Bjorns way, giving him an advantage against the blinding flash of the @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin attack.

With a roar Bjorn breaks free of the rope binding him. Still blinded he lets the heat of battle take over and lunges with abandon (A: Attack w/reckless attack) slashing @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin

He then shouts “Daisy, let’s show ’em what’s what!” [BA: Help (from mastermind) to give Daisy adv on next attack]
@Daisy the Hedgehog reaches up and touches @Bjorns elbow.

“With the Earth Mothers blessing see again friend.”

She then strikes with her heavy soup ladle at @A Red Rainbow Goblin
but misses
@Poppyseed twirls once more releasing a kaleidoscope of colours and cards in a cone towards the two Rainbow Goblins.

Bjorn looks at the goblins “oh your screwed now” the n laughs maniacally
The Rainbow Goblins are caught in the colourful blast, but are so nimble they only sustain some of the damage, and seem to be immune to the blinding lights.
The @A Red Rainbow Goblin strikes at @Daisy the Hedgehog flames sputtering from its Prism Dagger.

The two Goblins caught in the whirlwind of Daisy’s Guardian Spirit are battered from all directions, @A Red Rainbow Goblin looks very unhappy and almost falls over, while @D Yellow Rainbow Goblin gives a little yelp before its body becomes unstable and pops spraying yellow paint like goop everywhere as the whirling guardian spirit picks up the goop flinging it all over the place.

Jack moves up 3 spaces warily looking over the trees where tge green goblin disappeared before turning his attention back to the red goblin BA move the elf’s curse to red then Santa’s holiday cheer him up
Two glowing balls of Santa’s Holiday Cheer slam into @A Red Rainbow Goblin, the little goblin stops and has a confused look upon its face before suddenly exploding in a shower of red paint like goop.

Moves to strike @B Blue Rainbow Goblin recklessly, and shouts to jack “let’s finish em off!” (attack w/reckless. BA help)
@Bjorn delivers a deadly strike against the laughing Rainbow Goblin.
But the Goblin continues to roll on the floor laughing uncontrollably.
@Daisy the Hedgehog moves up and hits the Rainbow Goblin with her heavy soup ladle, as she moves the whirlwind of her Spirit Guardians moves with her.
@Daisy the Hedgehog clobbers the @B Blue Rainbow Goblin over the head as it is tumbled around by the spirit guardian.
The creature stops laughing as it is finally able to resist the fairy’s magic, and draws its Prism Dagger and lasso.
@Poppyseed notches an arrow and fires, catching the @B Blue Rainbow Goblin in the knee.
The @B Blue Rainbow Goblin throws it lasso at @Poppyseed, but misses. Then it strikes out with its Prism Dagger at @Daisy the Hedgehog , as it does snowflakes streak from the dagger as it moves towards @Daisy the Hedgehog and the blade glows a chilling blue.
As the blade strikes @Daisy the Hedgehog snowflakes and ice crystals burst out in a cloud dealing considerable damage to the Hedgehog.

Jack once more shifts the power of his elf’s curse before launching 2 blasts against the blue goblin
The balls of Santa’s Holiday Cheer strike the little blue Rainbow Goblin as it gives a tiny shriek before popping, splashing blue paint like goop all over the place.
With the other Rainbow Goblins run off into the forest calm is restored to the road side, as @Mok gingerly emerges from his cart a look of relief on his face.
Mok
“Oh thank you so much for saving me, who knows what they would have done if you hadn’t come along...... although they have stolen a box of my Magical Mechanical Mame!!”
Bjorn
I’ll pick up my dagger, and tell him “Not to worry strange fellow. What is this box you speak of?”
Mok
“My box oh noooo, it’s full of Magical Mechanical Mame, they are one of my top sellers, and those pesky Rainbow Goblins ran off with them....... and trashed my cart which I’ll now have to repair..”
*loud sigh*
Poppyseed
“Oh dear that’s not good at all!”
Mok
“Nope not good at all... maybe even the opposite of good...”
Jack Frost
“Bad?” Jack offers up helpfully, “shall we head in the direction they ran? hopefully they have left some tracks for us to follow”

“Tracks like that?!”
*@Daisy the Hedgehog points at a shining red mechanical mame laying on the ground.*

I would like to do a quick search for anything that could be used as a shield, or an actual shield if the goblins dropped one.
Looking around @Bjorn sees three Rainbow Goblin Prism Daggers laying on the ground and two lassos, but nothing that could be used as a shield.
Mok’s cart has a variety of strange bits and bobs, but as far as shields go, the only thing @Bjorn sees is a copper pot lid, or the wooden top of an old crate.

Bjorn will try to rig up a makeshift shield with the crate.
Mok
“Hay that’s my....... nevermind.”
With a little rope @Bjorn is able to rig up a makeshift shield, it’s not particularly sturdy but should provide some level of protection.
Jack Frost
“Dont worry little sir, ill make sure he gets coal in his stocking this year as he didnt even ask your permission”
Mok
“No no it’s fine, you are helping me retrieve my mechanical mame after all.”
Jack Frost
“No sir, the big guy is pretty strict on things like this”
Bjorn
Bjorn ignores the banter and continues working on the makeshift shield

Bjorn then mutters something under his breath that would probably warrant more coal

“Come now Bjorn manners are everything”
Bjorn
“Fiiiiiineeee....... thank you for crate Mok”
Jack Frost
“See was that so hard? now come on lets get after those colourful rascals”
The trail of colourful mechanical mame leads off through the forest towards a large rocky outcrop about 40 ft away.
Bjorn
“Be on guard, could be an ambush. I could sneak ahead and scout the area, or we could all move in ready for a fight. Any other plans?” Bjorn says looking to the group
Daisy the Hedgehog
*@Daisy the Hedgehog picks up the three Prism Daggers and two lassos laying on the ground.*
“I think it would be wise to expect resistance, the Violet and Orange Rainbow Goblins went towards the rocks, but I don’t know where that Green one went.”
Poppyseed
“We are right behind you @Bjorn lead the way.”
Jack Frost
“I hate to say it bjorn but I think I can be a bit sneaker than you, plus I can get out quicker if it gets Hairy”
Jack frost snaps his fingers and turns invisible (free cast north winds cloak)
Bjorn
While Jack is doing recon, Bjorn will ask Mok “Well friend, got anything might help deal with these rascals?”
Mok
“How much you got?”
Bjorn
Bjorn raises an eyebrow (intimidation) “Wasn’t asking to barter. Was asking if you wanted to help save YOUR hide”
@Mok looks ready to cry, just as @Daisy the Hedgehog interjects.

*In a tone like a mother scolding a child*
“Now Bjorn that’s not how we talk to friends!..... What he means Mr Monk is we would be grateful for any assistance you might be able to give us , in retrieving your stolen property.”

“Yes Mr Mok we would be ever so grateful.”
Bjorn
Bjorn gives Mok the stink eye then starts adjusting his shield, muttering to himself after being scolded twice in one day
Jack will move in the direction of the trail
@Jack frost doesn’t get very far moving through the golden grass heading into the forest he suddenly stops, not three feet away he notices a strange ripple in the colours of the forest, then as his eyes adjust the ripple takes shape, a little Rainbow Goblin shape.
The little Green Rainbow Goblin doesn’t seem to notice @Jack frost instead it looks like it’s eagerly awaiting the group so it can surprise them, its green colouration seems to change slightly mimicking its green surroundings of the forest, the perfect camouflage, yet not good enough to pass @Jack frosts keen eye.

Jack sneaks back and whispers the location to bjorn before continuing his sneaky mission to find the other colours
@Jack frost easily moves silently back to relay what he saw and the location of the @E Green Rainbow Goblin .
Mok
*Mok thinks for a moment then raises a finger as if he had a brilliant idea*
“Those little devils love colour, they go loopy for it.... probably why they ran off with my magical mechanical mame...... I have this!”
*He holds up a silver chain, at the end of the chain is a pendant of sorts, three interconnecting silver rings, at the center of which floats the most beautiful gem the group has ever seen, as if the start night sky itself was trapped within.*
“This, my friends I call the Glimmer-Spinner! spin this beauty and those little critters will come running I guarantee...... if they can see it ........ ”

then imma walk far.enough around the green goblin so I dont trigger his lackluster sense and continue following the path.
moving further north, @Jack frost can see @C Orange Rainbow Goblin waiting at the entrance to a cave inside the rocky outcrop.
Deeper inside the cave @Jack frost can see flashes of vibrant colours, perhaps the case of stolen Mechanical Mame are inside.

Bjorn is going to grab the spinny rainbow necklace and climb on top of the cart
He isn’t spinning it yet, just waiting impatiently
@Daisy the Hedgehog looking a little worse for wear, holds her symbol of the Earth Mother, and channels healing energy into herself.

“Hmmmm perhaps we can draw them out of hiding with it... ”

“Say less” spins the necklace as hard as possible
@Bjorn holds the Glimmer-Spinner taut and gives it a spin, from the top of the cart where he stands a kaleidoscope of colours bursts forth in a 30 foot cube around him.
Right on cue the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin and @E Green Rainbow Goblin break from their hiding place and start to move towards the symphony of colour.
As the Glimmer-Spinner works its magic, Poppyseed pips a tune on her Panpipes of the Silver Wind and begins to sing a tune.

“Come out from the shadow, come out from the green,
To see the most beautiful light ever seen.
It’s not just a sunset, it’s not just a spark,
It’s a rainbow that dances and glows in the dark.
Forget all your lassos, forget all your gold,
Here is a treasure that’s grand to behold.
Spinning and winning, the colors are bright,
They twist and they turn in the cool of the night.
Violet and emerald and sapphire blue,
The Glimmer-Spinner is calling for you!
Look at the patterns, so steady and deep,
While the rest of the forest is falling asleep.
Ruby-red pulses like stars in the sky,
As the geometric ribbons go fluttering by.
Step into the circle, step into the glow,
Where the rivers of neon and amber-light flow.
Your skin will be shining like oil on a lake,
Just one little look is all that it takes.”

Bjorn will try to do a jumping attack off of the cart onto @E Green Rainbow Goblin
As @Bjorn puts away the Glimmer-Spinner and prepares to leap for an attack the Hypnotic Pattern abruptly stops.
With an incredible burst of speed the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin races Infront of the @E Green Rainbow Goblin and tosses its lasso at @Bjorn, but misses as the Aarsimar appears as if he is moving in slow motion compared to the blurring speed of the Orange Rainbow Goblin, who follows up its lasso attack with a jab from its Prism Dagger.
The dagger strikes @Bjorn exploding in a spray of colourful orange powder.
The @C Orange Rainbow Goblin then quickly moves away from @Bjorn with blinding speed and sits cross legged on a tree stump picking its nails with its Prism Dagger as if it had been there the whole time relaxing.
The @E Green Rainbow Goblin tosses its lasso at @Bjorn but misses, it then tosses green paint in his direction causing glowing green, bright and luminous vines to spring out of nowhere around the leaping Aarsimar.
The brightly coloured vines wrap around @Bjorn catching the Aarsimar mid air.
Bjorn becomes engaged by the cursed plants grasping at him (BA: rage) and in his furry rips free (Action: Str check w/ rage adv)
he then closes the distance with goblins c & e
@Poppyseed flies above the vine tangled cart and with a flick of her wrists throws fairy dust on the two Rainbow Goblins.
“Laugh till your sides hurt you colourful little rascals.”
(casts Tasha’s hideous laughter lvl 2)
@C Orange Rainbow Goblin and @E Green Rainbow Goblin immediately begin to roll on the ground laughing uncontrollably.
@Daisy the Hedgehog starts to slowly make her way around the outside of the tangling vines.
@C Orange Rainbow Goblin stops laughing but can otherwise do nothing at the moment.
@E Green Rainbow Goblin continues to laugh tears pouring from its eyes as it rolls around in the tall golden grass.
@Bjorn deals a nasty strike against the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin
@Daisy the Hedgehog moves towards the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin and swings with her heavy soup ladle, but misses the quick little Rainbow Goblin.
@Poppyseed pips a tune on her Panpipes of the Silver Wind sending glowing notes flying towards the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin striking it hard.
@E Green Rainbow Goblin continues to laugh hysterically.
@C Orange Rainbow Goblin throws its lasso at @Bjorn
The lasso wraps around @Bjorn as he feels his colour being siphoned away.
The @C Orange Rainbow Goblin holds the lasso end over its mouth drinking the colours drawn out of @Bjorn, healing its wounds slightly.
Bjorn flexes his muscles and breaks free of the lasso, then looks at the Orange goblin and gives a toothy grin. (Action: Attack +2 rage dmg w/vex adv) (BA: Give Poppyseed Adv w/ Master of Tactics)
@Daisy the Hedgehog swings her heavy soup ladle, clobbering the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin on the head.
@Poppyseed pips a tune on her Panpipes of the Silver Wind sending glowing notes flying towards the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin striking it hard.
@C Orange Rainbow Goblin throws its lasso at @Bjorn
but miss.
It then stabs out with its Prism Dagger.
The @C Orange Rainbow Goblin lands a devastating hit, @Bjorns rage is able to mitigate the piecing damage of the blade, but the force of the Orange energy flowing through the blade is overpowering.
The @E Green Rainbow Goblin continues to laugh tears streaming down its face as it laughs itself stupid.
@Daisy the Hedgehog reaches out and touches @Bjorns elbow passing healing magic into the badly injured Aarsimar.
As Bjorn coughs up blood from the blow he looks at @C Orange Rainbow Goblin and says “imma hang you by that flipping lasso!” (Action: Attack +2 rage dmg w/vex adv) (BA: Gives Poppyseed Adv w/Master of Tactics)
With a mighty swing @Bjorn delivers the final blow to the @C Orange Rainbow Goblin which is caught mid laugh as it liquefies into a puddle of orange goop on the ground.

As Bjorn is splashed in the face by orange goblin innards, he yells to Daisy “Thanks for the heal! Where’d that bastard Jack get off to? He’s missing all the fun”
Poppyseed
“It does feel like he’s been gone a long time..... I do hope nothing terrible has happened to him.”
@Poppyseed pips a tune on her Panpipes of the Silver Wind sending glowing notes flying towards the @E Green Rainbow Goblin striking it hard, yet the Rainbow Goblin doesn’t stop laughing.
@E Green Rainbow Goblin stops laughing, as it wipes away the last of the tears it doesn’t look very happy at all, maybe even a little angry.

“I’m sure he’s fine, he couldn’t have possibly snuck into a mysterious cave solo or anything like that”
Daisy the Hedgehog
“That would be irresponsible and dangerous, I doubt he’d be so reckless.”
@Bjorn strikes the @E Green Rainbow Goblin with a well aimed blow dealing considerable damage.
@Daisy the Hedgehog swings her heavy soup ladle, clobbering the @E Green Rainbow Goblin across the head.
@Poppyseed pips a tune on her Panpipes of the Silver Wind sending glowing notes flying towards the @E Green Rainbow Goblin striking it hard.
@E Green Rainbow Goblin disengages and starts making its escape towards the road.
it then dashes heading east.
@Bjorn (BA: Dash to catch up the green goblin) “You’re not getting away from me you slimy bastard!” (Action: Attack +2 rage dmg w/vex adv)

“Mr Mok! Look out!”
@Bjorn easily catches up to the fleeing Rainbow Goblin cutting it down as it tries to escape, it bursts into a puddle of green paint like goop mid step as it flees.

If Bjorn and the gals are out of combat he’s going to call everyone together to check if they are okay, then he will ask if anyone has seen Jack
@Daisy the Hedgehog and @Poppyseed appear from the forest.

“I haven’t seen Jack since he turned invisible to go scouting.”
Poppyseed
“Same...... He’s been gone quite a long time and there’s still one Rainbow Goblin and the crate of mechanical mame unaccounted for.”
Mok
*While everyone has been fighting Mok has been busy repairing his wagon.
He quickly makes a few hand gestures and a glowing arrow appears pointing to the north east.*
“Looks like the crate of mechanical mame are in that direction.”

@Daisy the Hedgehog touches @Bjorn elbow.
“Let’s get that crate”

Jack sneaks to the cave entrance and peeks inside using 20ft of movement, does it look like the violet goblin is holding the box ?
peaking into the cave @Jack frost sees what looks to be the Rainbow Goblins hideout, the walls are covered in paint splatters, hand prints, funny pictures, and limericks.
Looking around he can see a lot of colourful items which the Rainbow Goblins have obviously stolen, he can also see the case of mechanical mame by the edge of a dark hole in the ground at the far end of the cave.
There is a dark shimmering coming from inside the cave, but @Jack frost isn’t able to make out what it is, but chances are good it’s the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin .

The crate of mechanical mame slides into the dark hole out of sight.
I move up to the hole and look inside with my darkvision
@Jack frost moves up to the dark hole, looking down he sees that the hole is actually a tunnel, after it descends 5 feet it bends around heading east. the walls are covered in the same paint splatters as the main cave, the tunnel must be a back door, although where it exits is unknown.

As @Jack frost creeps through the darkness he hears a crackle and the smell of ozone as the air is displaced and the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin teleports in behind him, its large black eyes staring into the darkness.

The @F Violet Rainbow Goblin throws its lasso at @Jack frost catching the elf as the lasso pulls tight around him.

It then strikes at @Jack frost with its Prism Dagger, but misses.

The @F Violet Rainbow Goblin laughs the sound like falling crystals in the echoing cave tunnel at the disappearing, reappearing elf, just before he is hit twice in the face by two powerful glowing balls of Santa’s Holiday Cheer ruining its good mood.
The @F Violet Rainbow Goblin moves close to @Jack frost and throws its lasso.
Restraining the elf and draining away some of his colour, which the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin drinks hungrily.
It then lashes out with its Prism Dagger, dealing the elf a nasty jab infused with the Violet Rainbow Goblins energy.
The @F Violet Rainbow Goblin then teleports away out of sight.

It then teleports away further down the tunnel, @Jack frost hears its little feet running along before he hears a splash as if the Goblin jumped into water.
@Jack frost is pretty sure the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin was still carrying the crate of mechanical mame.
Jack follows where the goblin ran to to see if he can spot him
Following the tunnel @Jack frost comes to a small pool of water, which on closer inspection is a flooded tunnel, as the pool of water marks the end of the dry section of the tunnel the Rainbow Goblin must have gone this way, and travelled through the water tunnel.

The flooded tunnel seems to dip down before ascending, there is no sign of the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin but the sediment within the tunnel looks to have been recently disturbed as it slowly sinks back to the tunnel floor indicating something has passed this way.
diving under the water and moving to the bend @Jack frost sees that the tunnel curves upwards another 10 feet before opening up to what looks like a stone shaft of river stones leading upwards.
The Rainbow Goblin must be further up the stone shaft.
@Jack frost Fey Steps 10 feet to the end of the tunnel, looking up he sees the river stone shaft leading up towards the light of the surface, looking around it seems the shaft has been constructed inside another large body of water, which passes through gaps between the river stones.
Looking to the near edge of the tunnel which @Jack frost couldn’t previously see, he now sees the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin.
@F Violet Rainbow Goblin teleports up through the river stone shaft to the surface then hopping out disappears out of @Jack frosts sight.

Looking around @Jack frost sees movement to the north past the water and through the forest.
Flashes of colour could indicate the crate of mechanical mame, the flashing colours soon stop.
I move 30ft in that direction.
Hopping across some stones in the water @Jack frost reaches the other side quickly.
From the banks of the lake he can see a large wooden wardrobe sitting in the middle of the forest.

As soon as the group crosses the road into the forest, they see to their right @Jack frost standing by a small clear lake, ahead they see a large wooden wardrobe in the direction the arrow had pointed.

“oh hey guys, I was just about to shoot in the air so you could try and find me. Did you take out the ither goblins? I was chasing the pesky violet fellow, hes got the box with him, there was tunnels and teleportinh and he was scared of me you know just kept running away.... anyway im pretty sure he went into this although im a bit nervous to follow by myself.... last time I went in one of these there was an all out war between some witch and of all things a lion! trust me you do not want to get in-between something like that”

Looking around the group sees a few mechanical mame laying around the wardrobe, but all the colour has been drained from them, and they no longer sparkle or shine.

“Looks like our little friend got hungry....”

“Bjorn, be ready this is either a normal wardrobe and we will open it and the goblin will jump out and attack or this leads to a magical place and we have a lot more work to do” Jack prepares Santa’s little helper(mage hand) to open the door when everyone’s ready

Bjorn will mutter to himself “this was supposed to be a simple delivery, but nooooo, there had to be soul sucking demons and rainbow goblins” then he will stand by the door preparing to attack (Action: Ready reckless attack w/ trigger of a threat stepping out of the wardrobe)

Bjorn shakes his head wondering what series of life decisions lead him to this moment. “Well suppose we’re in it together now”
As the mage hand touches the hand and turns the knob, it doesn’t squeak, or turn, or click, or do anything you’d expect a handle of a wardrobe to do, instead it squelches and goes limp as the handle unravels and morphs into a woody tendril.
Suddenly the whole wardrobe shifts, expands, then transforms into the largest mimic the group has ever seen.
The group hears the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin laughing at the turn of events as the Wardrobe Mimic bursts into action.
Bjorn
Bjorn laughs as he lashes out with his readied sword. “Come on then beasty! Aaaahaaaa!!”
@Bjorn Stabs away at the @Wardrobe Mimic as it wabbles towards the group.

Bjorn’s internal thoughts “So that’s how a witch and a lion fit inside a wardrobe...... silly Jack made it sound like there was a magical world in there”

@Daisy the Hedgehog holds out her symbol of the Earth Mother, blessing the group and praying for the Earth Mothers aid in the fight ahead.

@Bjorn deals a well aimed strike to the @Wardrobe Mimic splintering wood and splashing sickly ichor on the forest floor.
The @Wardrobe Mimic strikes out at @Bjorn its doors swinging open revealing row upon row of needle sharp teeth, as woody tentacles swing out to grab the Aarsimar.
The jaws clamp down hard as the doors swing wildly the needle like jaws piecing flesh, as its acidic saliva spots and splashes over @Bjorn .
The woody tendrils batter and stick to the Aarsimar trying to push @Bjorn into its mouth.
There is a rustling in the trees then a pop and a giggle as the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin teleports behind @Jack frost stabbing at him with its Prism Dagger.
But he misses, then he tries to catch the Elf with his lasso, the lasso tightening around the elf.

“Sorry daisy this might sting you a bit, I need to get bjorn out of there dont want him eaten...” I grab Bjorns leg and cast down the chimney(thunderstep) moving 20ft backwards, unfortunately daisy is in range. I then deposit the newly freed bjorn next to me.
The shockwave blasts out in all directions echoing through the forest as @Jack frost Thundersteps away with @Bjorn . The @Wardrobe Mimic takes the full force its woody exterior cracking under the blast, while @Daisy the Hedgehog is caught in the blast as well she sustains only a fraction of the damage and is luckily able to maintain her concentration on her prayers of blessing.

Running back through the forest, @Bjorn collides with the @Wardrobe Mimic sending splintered wood, and ichor flying, as the Wardrobe collapses in a heap, its doors hang off its hinges and the once hungry mouth full of rows of razor sharp needle teeth now silent, still, and drooping.

Crazy from the rage of battle Bjorn continues slashing and stabbing at the Mimic even after it collapses then looks up at the goblin and smiles through the gore on his face “your next”

Two glowing balls of Santa’s Holiday Cheer strike the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin in the back, as @Poppyseed sends notes of light slamming into the @F Violet Rainbow Goblin from the side.
The little @F Violet Rainbow Goblin squeals before bursting, in a shower of violet paint like goop all over @Bjorn and the forest around them.

Breathing heavily Bjorn slowly wipes the goop from his face as the heat of battle slowly leaves his body. “You said this is normal Poppyseed?”
He will then walk towards the water to splash some of the goop off.
The goop from the multiple goblins, and innards of the mimic mix with the sweat rolling down Bjron’s face nearly blinding him until he can wash it off

“Ummm.... head out to deliver lumber...... something goes wrong...... things try to murder us....... yep sounds pretty normal...... we all look like we’ve been in a paint throwing fight ....... I can’t wait to get to Summer and have a nice hot bath.”

looking around @Bjorn and @Jack frost see a trail of drained mechanical mame leading to the base of a tree, up in the trees branches sits the crate of mechanical mame.

Retrieving the crate is easy work for @Bjorn, while @Poppyseed and @Daisy the Hedgehog collect the drained mechanical mame from the ground and place them in the crate, it looks like the little Violet Rainbow Goblin ate quite a few.

“here you go Daisy” says Bjorn as he hands her the box “we should check on Mok”
The group returns to the road carrying the crate of half eaten mechanical mame where Mok has finished repairing the wagon and cleaning up, as the group approaches he is oiling and polishing the replaced back leg which is now fixed and has its metal foot firmly on the ground.

“hello mr Mok, we have returned your box... unfortunately we couldn’t prevent the goblin doing something with a lot of them”

“Oh no, that’s unfortunate, maybe even the opposite of wonderful.......... but fixable. Thank you all for your assistance, could I have that Glimmer-Spinner back now please..... although I suppose you deserve a reward for your assistance..... how does a lucky dip sound?”

“Yes yes Lucky Dip!! Honestly even I don’t know half of what’s in this cart.... I make stuff... It makes stuff...... Things just show up....So to say thank you for saving me, my cart, and my Mechanical Mame..... mostly........ Stick your hand in the cart and pull one thing out....... but no peeking, see, Lucky Dip!!”

“Oh the Gossamer Geat-Tick?! it’s amazing it can grip onto your hat or hair, whisper to it and it will tap out the weather forecast for the day in morse code on your head...... sometimes it gets a little confused and taps out a little tune, but usually it’s spot on.......... quite amazing yes?!”

“Nothing a good rest won’t fix, and luckily we are almost at Summer.”

The towering Aasimar Barbarian looks almost comical holding the intricate instrument. Each time he squeezes the bellows, the sound of a giggling goblin wheezes out, but the utility is undeniable. Bjorn now carries the literal “key” to any wall, though the party might have to endure some questionable accordion solos before he finds the right frequency to fold a stone door open.
Jack stares at the tiny brass beetle perched on his frost-dusted albeit wet shoulder with visible skepticism. As a Warlock of Winter, he’s used to the grand magic of Santa’s workshop, not a bug that ticks out tavern songs.

“I ask for the secrets of the winter solstice, and it gives me the rhythm to ‘The Drunken Satyr’,”
he mutters, though he hasn’t actually brushed the tick off yet.
The watch is almost as big as Daisy’s wine-barrel shield, but she wears it with pride. The swirling purple vortex behind the glass fascinates her. She’s already practicing “storing” the seconds spent waiting for her soup to boil, ready to unleash that extra burst of speed the next time she needs to charge a foe with her ladle.
Poppyseed is absolutely enchanted. The pink silk and weeping willow patterns perfectly match her petal-red wings. She’s spent the last ten minutes spinning it, giggling as a tiny, localized raincloud douses a confused squirrel exactly fifty feet away. It’s the perfect accessory for a cheerful performer who loves a bit of dramatic flair.
Mok’s Final Farewell
As the group packs their new treasures, Mok leans against his newly repaired wagon leg—now silent and sturdy—and tips his cap.

“A fair trade for a crate of mame and my skin,”
*he barks with a grin.*
“If you find yourselves in the City of Summer, look for the shop with the most smoke and the loudest gears. First repair is on the house!”
With a hiss of steam and a rhythmic clack-whir, the wagon begins to roll toward the golden horizon of the Summer border.
@Poppyseed pips a tune on The Panpipes of the Silver Wind and sings a little tune.
“Out from the glade where the Glimmer-Grass grows,
They came for the crate of the Mechanical Mame.
A rainbow of rascals with neon-lit toes,
Blind to the gear-work and deaf to the flame.
They popped every orb like a berry in June,
Before the brass foot had been fixed to the ground,
They swallowed the cogs and the light of the moon,
Thinking the sparks were the treasures they’d found.
Oh, the Mame has a kick and the Mame has a bite,
It’s not for a goblin to sample at night!
Now emerald pulses are stuck in their thumbs,
And brass-colored hums leave ’em hollow and numb.
A chest full of ticking, a head full of steam,
The Mechanical Mame is no colorful dream!
No more they dance with a flicker and flair,
No more the neon is bright in their skin.
For metallic indigestion and copper-hued air,
Have stopped every grin from the ears to the chin.
Their bellies are gears and their hearts are on tick,
The colors they craved have turned sour and sick;
Leaving them twitching in shadows and dust,
Stolen beauty is tarnished by greed and by rust.
Oh, the Mame has a kick and the Mame has a bite,

Mok seems to enjoy the tune and song as his wagon clanks, whirs, and hisses off down the road the group can hear a jaunty, slightly off-key mechanical tune with the sound of ticking gears as Mok sings Poppyseeds tale of the Rainbow Goblins and their mechanical indigestion: The Mechanical Mame Mishap.

“Well I guess we should get back to the caravan and be on our way as well, if we want to make it to Summer before nightfall.”
