Darkness after light and Light after Darkness
PART 1:
Once upon a time, in year 7106, there was a little innocent 11-year-old girl named Alice. She lived with her mom, Jules Bertson, and her dad, Herbert Bertson, in a big, beautiful house because they were very rich. Alice had always been curious about cooking and loved watching meals being prepared, sometimes even trying small things herself for fun. However, her uncle, Gilbert Bertson, who was her dad’s brother, was extremely jealous. He envied Herbert because he being richer, had also married a rich woman and lived a luxurious and comfortable life. Gilbert didn’t want to ask his brother for money because it would make him feel embarrassed, so instead, his jealousy slowly grew into hatred.
One day, Alice’s parents had to travel somewhere far away, so Herbert trusted his brother and asked him to take care of Alice. Gilbert saw this as his perfect opportunity. As soon as her parents left, he began treating Alice terribly. He took away her phone, forced her to sleep in an old car, and only gave her bread and soup every day. He even threatened her, saying that if she told anyone, he would harm her. Alice was too scared to speak, so she stayed silent and endured everything.
Then one day, devastating news arrived. Alice’s parents had died, and her whole world fell apart. She became an orphan, while Gilbert felt nothing but satisfaction, as his jealousy had completely taken over his heart. He took all of Herbert’s wealth and used it to achieve his dream of opening a hotel. However, he forced Alice to work there as both a chef and a waitress. The thing Alice once loved began to change. Cooking was no longer something fun or comforting.. it became something she was forced to do under pressure and fear. At first, she struggled, but Gilbert trained her harshly until she became very skilled. The hotel became more and more successful, turning into a luxurious five-star place where only rich people visited, yet no one treated Alice kindly.
The guests laughed at her and made fun of her, and even Gilbert pretended it was funny that she was an orphan. Alice continued working quietly, hiding her pain. One day, a rich woman who had lost her husband came to the hotel with her 10-year-old daughter named Paris. When she saw Alice working as a young waitress, she felt sympathy for her. Even though she didn’t know Alice was the one cooking the delicious food, she treated her kindly and left her tips. Paris also grew fond of Alice and secretly played with her whenever she could.
Later, Gilbert approached the woman and asked what she thought about Alice. The woman said Alice was sweet and amazing, but she was curious about her story. Gilbert avoided answering and instead suggested that Alice could become her personal maid. The woman sensed that something was wrong but agreed, thinking she could help Alice. Soon, Alice began working as her maid, and one day, the woman gently asked her to explain why she worked there. Alice hesitated at first because she was afraid, but after a moment, she finally told her everything.
The woman was shocked and realized how cruel Gilbert truly was. She had originally thought he was helping orphans, but instead, he was abusing his own niece. Alice worked extremely hard without earning anything and survived only on leftovers. The woman immediately called the police and told them the truth. Gilbert was arrested, all the wealth was returned to Alice, and the hotel was closed.
In the end, the woman adopted Alice as her daughter, and Paris became her sister. Alice finally found love, safety, and happiness again after everything she had been through.
Moral of the story: Never let jealousy turn into hatred, because it can destroy others and yourself. 💜✨
