"Ow- ow- ow- dammit, Spock. What the hell is your problem?"
"This--"
"--is my problem, Captain."
"Wait, are these my personal logs. Did you seriously hack into your CO's-- as in your superior officer's-- BBS account?"
"That makes two of us."
"What the hell, Spock."
"Jim, these are official Romulan transmission codes— if Ambassador Selek is engaged in illegal correspondence with enemy forces, the Admiralty must be alerted immediately."
"Woah. Okay. While I appreciate what you're trying to do here, really, I do, that is exactly what we're not going to do."
"Jim, you may have slept through the entirety of your legislative coursework, but even you don't need me to spell out the potential ramifications. We have to report this to headquarters-- to do otherwise is tantamount to treason."
"Okay, look.. as it physically pains you, no one is reporting anyone today, Spock. Not even if it's you reporting yourself. Settle down."
“With all due respect, Captain, I do not think you fully appreciate the gravity of the situation, nor the inherent risks should you choose—”
"I am aware of the risks, Spock.”
“Do you realize that witholding information like this is grounds for dismissal from service? As in, you could lose your command."
"Look, I’m done hearing about this, okay? And you've got to leave that old man alone, this is getting out of control."
"Permission to speak freely, Captain."
"When has lack of permission ever stopped you, Spock?"
"I would be remiss in my duty as first officer if I did not fully convey my objections. My opinion is that the Ammassador has compromised your judgement, Captain. Not only is it not enough for you that he a potential threat to the federation, now he is actively endangering both you and your career-- or don't you see that?"
"Why do you always have to be so melodramatic. Would you stop blowing everything he does out of proportion?"
"Melodramatic? When starfleet finds out about this, you'll be fortunate not to live out the rest of your limited lifespan in a correctional facility."
"Okay, look.. I don't know how to explain this to you but you're actually, literally high on chocolate mints if you think we're going to report this to starfleet. I know this is not your forte, but you need to let this go."
"To be clear, Jim-- this is an act of sedition, that you are asking me to go along with."
"Did you not hear me the last three times? ...Look, if calling it sedition makes you happy, whatever helps you sleep at night. But you cannot, under any circumstances, report this to starfleet."
“Captain—”
“This is the last I’ll hear of it, Spock. I’m serious. Don’t— "
"Bridge, I have a priority one communique to relay to headq--"
"Stop. That’s an order, Commander.”
“Jim, your phys eval was scheduled for oh-eight-hundred hours this morning. Where the hell were you? You’d better not have a girl in there or so help me—”
“Bones… uh.. now's not really a good time... "
“Don’t try that with me, you little twerp. Either you open this goddamn door or I blast it open.”
“Wait, wait— don’t come in. We’re, uh…indecent.”
“What are you talki—”
“Shush.”
"Spock? That you?"
"Opening fire in the corridor would be ill-advised, Doctor."
"The hell you doing in- Wait a minute, if you're both in-- who the hell is even running the ship?"
"Uh.."
"Captain, if you could please remove your hands from my person, that would be much appreciated."
"Listen— I’m going to go vomit in the latrine. You’d better be in medbay end of alpha shift, sharp, or we’re going to have a problem. That is assuming we aren't a pile of rubble on the bottom of the ocean floor by then, for God's sakes."
