Chapter 1

Beautiful Brunette young Jasmin Cristal, soon to be Mrs. Knight, stared at her reflection in the huge mirror of the bride’s dressing room. She wore a large but not puffing white caramel dress that made her breasts bigger than they were. The details of the expensive dress went from the shoulders all along her sleeves and til her waist.

She took a deep breath and sat in front of the desk’s mirror where her makeup was soon to be placed. As she closed her eyes, her mind went to the memory of the first time she laid eyes on Matteo Knight.

It was a Fright Night at her friend’s house, also known as Casino Night at Becca’s. It happened once every three months, when her good friend threw everything she had into making a great fundraiser by having a casino night at her father’s house. As always, Jasmin would play and lose money at the poker table. That night, she sat next to a very handsome, black-haired guy who seemed to be in his thirties. The guy took a fondness for the 24-year-old Jasmin and invited her for a drink after the poker game was over.

Jasmin opened her eyes and stared at her reflection, admiring the well-done job of the makeup artist. She had decided to try to keep her makeup as natural as possible. She had a thin eyeliner, a soft beige tone of eye shadow, her eyelashes were curled up, and she had a soft pink gloss on her lips. She thanked the lovely lady goodbye and let the hairstylist begin with her job.

“You must be very excited,” the stylist said with a smile on her face, and began to separate Jasmin’s hair into sections.

“Is it that noticeable?” The now 27-year-old bride was all nervous. “It’s just that I’ve dreamt of this for so long. I used to speak about this with my Best friend. Who I’ve dated, might I add.” The bride said.

“It’s a shame to hear you aren’t marrying her.” She said as she grabbed the straightener.

“Oh, nono... She is actually a He. We ended our relationship on good terms. I’ve even invited him.” Jasmin saw the face excretion of the stylist, as if she were a fraud.

“Well, I hope you choose the right person. I have been through two divorces.” Jasmin’s eyes popped out of her face. “Oh. Nono.... please don’t listen to this old ass, I can’t keep a man... that's all. “She joked.

They laughed.

“Honey, you look marvelous.” Her mother spoke to her as she entered the room with the wedding photographer.

The stylist was packing up her things to leave. The bride smiled and thanked her for the advice and hairstyle, then proceeded to walk to her mother. “Thanks, mother,” She said as they embraced each other.

The Photographer capturing every moment.

“All the guests have arrived.” Said her mother. Jasmin’s eyes lit up. “Even Tom. We spoke... He wanted to talk to you... I told him now wasn’t the time.”

“Mom..“She said, frustrated. “I don’t care what you think of him... I would like to speak to him. We haven’t actually seen each other in over 4 years.”

“Honey. I just think...”

“You don’t have to think anything... I’m grown enough.” She interrupted her mother. “Please tell him ... that if he wants to talk, I’m here. I still need to kill half an hour before the ceremony begins.” Jasmin turned to the mirror and smiled to herself as her mother left the room.

After a few minutes, the photographer left the bride’s room.
