“The Game Lock Begins”
🎬 ANDJI — Episode 1: “The Game Lock Begins”
[Cold Open – Void of static and whispers]
A low heartbeat echoes through darkness. Faint particles of light drift like dust. A figure — hooded, faceless — stands alone.
GAME MASTER (voice, low and distorted):
“Welcome… Reaper.”
The space ripples. A young man awakens midair, suspended in the void — confused, his breathing heavy.
REAPER:
“Wh… what is this place?”
GAME MASTER:
“You are in the Game Lock — a domain where the dead are tested.”
The Reaper looks down — there’s no floor. Only fragments of color, forming floating letters: A, N, D, J, I, Q.
GAME MASTER:
“Every soul must bear a letter. Choose one. Choose wisely — for it will bind your destiny.”
REAPER (hesitating, eyes scanning the letters):
“...N.”
The letter glows red and floats into his chest, etching a faint symbol on his hand.
GAME MASTER:
“The letter N — marked in fire. Very well. From this moment, you are part of the Game.”
The void trembles. The sound distorts, voices overlapping, fragments of laughter and screams — like radio static mixed with echoes of lives lost.
GAME MASTER (continuing):
“You will be teamed with others — five players in total. Each with their own letter, their own past.”
“Together, you will face the Tutorial Level… a test so cruel, even the gods cannot pass it.”
REAPER (shocked):
“Tutorial? Wait, that’s supposed to be easy, right?”
The Game Master chuckles, a low rumble that warps the void.
GAME MASTER:
“Easy? The tutorial is the hardest level of them all. Only those who understand despair may begin the game.”
The letters spin rapidly, forming five glowing circles that descend like seals. The Reaper’s vision distorts — the world pulls him downward.
TITLE CARD: ANDJI
The letters A, N, D, J, I ignite one by one, forming the word “ANDJI.” Orchestral music swells — strings, drums, a faint choir.
Scene 1 – Awakening
Reaper lands suddenly on a massive black platform suspended in a red sky. Five beams of light pierce the air, forming figures as they materialize — confused, gasping, human.
A young woman in yellow robes (A)
A quiet, blue-eyed man with a calm face (D)
A restless, girl with messy cyan-streaked hair (J)
A bulky, green-hoodied man rubbing his head (I)
And Reaper (N), standing, tense, trying to make sense of everything.
A (worried):
“Where… are we?”
D:
“It looks… unreal. Like we’re inside a program.”
J:
“Or a dream. Maybe we’re dead?”
Everyone freezes. The word “dead” hangs heavy in the air.
REAPER (quietly):
“I… think we are.”
A brief silence. Then, suddenly — the voice returns.
GAME MASTER (echoing from the sky):
“You are not wrong, player N. Each of you has died — a life unlived, a death unnoticed.”
The group looks upward as glowing screens appear in the sky, showing fragments of their old lives — dull routines, empty rooms, blank stares.
GAME MASTER:
“The goddess of judgment saw potential where you saw nothing. You have been granted another chance — but only through the Game Lock.”
A:
“So this is… like a second life?”
GAME MASTER:
“Call it what you wish. A second chance. A trap. A test. Only completion grants rebirth.”
Scene 2 – Team Formation
The void shifts — glowing sigils rise beneath each of them, forming a pattern that connects into a five-pointed crest.
GAME MASTER:
“You five are now bound by code. A, N, D, J, I — together, you are Team ANDJI.”
J (squinting):
“Wait, ANDJI? That’s our name?”
I (grinning nervously):
“Hey, could be worse. At least it sounds pronounceable.”
D (looking around):
“So what happens now? Do we fight something? Or do we… wake up?”
GAME MASTER:
“Neither. You begin. The Tutorial Level awaits.”
The air hums with tension. The sky darkens.
A:
“Tutorial? That doesn’t sound too bad.”
GAME MASTER (amused):
“You misunderstand, priestess. The tutorial is where most players end. Only one in a thousand clears it.”
J (half-smile):
“That’s… comforting.”
REAPER (exhaling):
“So this is our starting line.”
He looks at his hand — the letter N faintly glowing red. He clenches his fist.
REAPER:
“Guess we’ll just have to make it through, whatever it is.”
Scene 3 – The Unknown Path
The platform beneath them begins to split into glowing tiles. Each one descends like an elevator piece into a vast abyss.
A (nervously):
“It’s moving!”
I (trying to balance):
“Whoa, whoa, whoa— what’s happening!?”
GAME MASTER:
“The Tutorial commences now. Survive the descent.”
They fall — the fragments of light spinning around them, forming images of cities, ruins, and unknown landscapes. A distorted melody plays faintly in the background, almost like a broken lullaby.
REAPER (voice-over):
“I don’t know where we’re going. Or what waits down there. But somehow… it feels like this isn’t the first time I’ve fallen.”
Each character glimpses flashes of their former lives — their deaths — but in fragmented flashes: an accident, an empty street, a dark screen shutting off.
Scene 4 – The Descent Ends
The light fades. They land on a new platform surrounded by mist. This time, it feels real — solid ground beneath their feet, cool air, faint echoes of dripping water.
D (looking around):
“We’re… somewhere else.”
A:
“Maybe this is the Tutorial world.”
Above them, a massive glowing countdown appears: TUTORIAL LEVEL — INITIALIZATION: 00:59.
J (confused):
“A countdown? For what!?”
GAME MASTER (voice):
“When the timer reaches zero, your first challenge begins. Remember — observation is survival.”
I:
“That doesn’t sound good.”
REAPER:
“Then we figure it out before it hits zero.”
They scramble — searching, testing the edge of the platform, touching the strange walls. Everything feels too perfect, too polished.
A:
“Why us? Why letters?”
D:
“Maybe the letters are… something more. A code.”
J:
“Or maybe it’s just a sick joke.”
The timer ticks down — 00:10 … 00:09 … 00:08…
GAME MASTER (softly, almost kindly):
“Good luck, players of ANDJI. Let the tutorial… begin.”
Scene 5 – The Ending Cliffhanger
The entire space trembles. The mist tears apart — revealing what lies beyond: a vast labyrinth suspended in the void, its walls glowing with pulsing veins of red light.
The group stares — awe, fear, disbelief.
A (whispering):
“This… isn’t a game.”
REAPER (quietly):
“No. It’s judgment.”
The camera pans upward — the Game Master’s silhouette hovers far above, hands outstretched over the glowing labyrinth.
GAME MASTER (smiling faintly):
“Welcome… to your second life.”
The screen distorts into static — the ANDJI logo pulses once, then fades to black.
