Obsessive or Dismissive? (A Theo Raeken selfship)

Summary

Jessie Mccall, the long-lost sister of Scott Mccall and the daughter of Melissa Mccall, was said to be working with the Dread Doctors as someone who went undercover and would help capture people who they saw as promising. Theo Raeken wasn't aware of Jessie working with the Dread Doctors due to the fact they wanted to keep her hidden as they didn't want Theo to find out she was working for them. The rasoning is said to be only because the Dread Doctors didn't want Theo getting in her way....Is there more to what the Dread Doctors want? What will happen once Theo and the rest of Scott's pack find out her existence? This story is a self ship of my oc Jessie and Theo Raken from TeenWolf . The main group from Scott's pack will be aged up slightly due to my oc being slightly older than the group. So, instead of the group being 16 to 17, they'll be 18 to 19 as my oc is 20. Another thing to note is that this story will not contain any smut of any kind, only fluff.

Chapter 1

The rain continues to hit the parchment as I walk towards the Beacon Hills high school. The only thing the Dread Doctors told me to do was to was to enroll and pretend to be a highs cooler. I thought this plan was stupid because all my life, the Dread Doctors made me read a series of books on each subject so I wouldn’t have to enroll. They told me this plan was full proof, I thought it was bullshit.

As I walked to the school, I could see many people whom the Dread Doctors told me about. When the Dread Doctors told me about Scott’s friends or I guess his pack, they didn’t seem like a threat. The Dread Doctors were a few of the most terrifying to me, especially when I was younger anytime I would disobey an order they would punish me. I don’t believe I’ve heard or seen anything that horrifying before. As I kept walking to the school-the rain came down heavy, almost like it was a warning shin sent from above. I picked up my pace finally reaching the school. The school was honestly beautiful, the Dread Doctors never left me out of their sights to go anywhere so it was nice to see something other than their base of operations. When I walked in the parking lot of the school, I saw more people then I’ve ever seen in my whole life. The Dread Doctors never wanted me around anyone who wasn’t them because they didn’t want me to be influenced into doing things they didn’t want.

I walked into the school nearly slipping from being out in the rain. As I stepped into the school I could see that it was so full of life unlike how it typically is living with the Dread Doctors . I looked around saw many girls wearing more feminine clothing than what I was wearing. I felt so out of place just being around them even though I hadn’t spoken to anyone yet. Honestly, I felt like I was under-dressed due to only wearing a simple black t-shirt, blue-jeans and old beat up looking tennis shoes that you’d only ever see young kids wear while playing outside. Although my hair looks somewhat decent so I guess I can’t complain that much,. Actually, now thinking about it more, if the Dread Doctors heard me even think about complaining they’d probably torture me or deny assess to the only thing i enjoy, that being writing. When the Dread Doctors first found me, they said I wasn’t allowed anything except a large notebook and ink pen. The reason they only wanted me to have those thing was because they didn’t want me getting ideas on how I could possibly betray them. The reason they even me something in the first place was because they didn’t want me going insane due to not seeing the outside world.

The Dread Doctors only wanted me to follow through with their plans with absolute no distractions. They didn’t want me to form actual relationships with other people because they worry I might be more sustainable to being influenced by Scott or his pack. I finally made it to the main office to get signed in. I walked the office expecting the principle but instead as met with one of the twins. I couldn’t tell if it was Auden or Ethan. I was standing behind but I decided not say anything because I figured it would turn into an unwanted conversation. I was turning to leave the office because it seemed that the principle was taking longer than expected.

As I turned around I heard a voice speak up behind me. I cursed under my breath once I realized it was whichever twin was standing in the office as me.

“ Hello, I’m Ethan Steiner. I’m just going assume you’re new here, right?” He asked with small smile. I wanted to puke at just the sight of him. The way his hair laid in such a perfect shape pissed me off. The Dread Doctors didn’t tell me much about the twins, only that they weren’t always on good terms with Scott and his pack. Ethan and Aiden were apart of a larger group with just alphas made up of different wolf variants, most of the pack members were killed. One of the twins weren’t supposed to live either but the two of them, with the help of Scott and the rest of the pack managed to stay alive.

I managed to get my registration done in time before my first class was about to start. I walked out of the office heading towards mt first class which was English, I didn’t mind English honestly because I’ve been writing for a large chunk of my life. I walked into class as the final bell began to ring and noised a few familiar faces. The class had about ten students, most I didn’t recognize. The only people I did recognize was Lydia Martin, Scott McCall, and Stiles Stilinski. I could feel eyes glued to on me as I walked to the only desk that was unoccupied. I sat down and just looked around the room. I hated being able to hear so many voices especially when so many of them were whispering about me. I heard things like. “Why in the hell did the school allow anther transfer? Don’t we have enough? " I could hear the skepticism in their voices as they talked. I almost couldn’t focus on the lesson being taught. I heard the ticks of the clock as time went on. The sounds grew louder and louder. While each tick of the clock went by, I felt myself getting warmer and I started to feel my chest tighten. “Was I having a panic attack? In the middle of my first class?” I could feel each breath i tried to catch in lungs continue to escape me. My grip on my desk began to tighten making the desk rattle, I could feel sweat beaming on forehead.

The room felt like it was getting smaller, louder even. I looked around and it didn’t seem like anyone were aware of what was going on. I closed my eyes and tried to focus my breathing. As I began to slower my breathing I could feel someone rub upper back in a comforting way. I turned my head and saw a guy with short dark brown, fluffy hair. He immediately removed his hand away as I noticed him rubbing the back of his neck nervously. He cleared his throat then spoke; “S-sorry, You just looked like you were having a panic attack and I sometimes get those as well. I uh just wanted to help. I’m Stiles by the way, Stiles Stilinski.” I remembered the Dread Doctors telling me about him. Stiles is one of Scott’s closer allies, his best friend in the whole world. Once I calmed down entirely, I looked around the room for a minute before turning my attention back to him. “I’m Jessie I appreciate the help. I don’t think I’ve ever had something like that happen to me before, well at least not in public anyway.” I gave him a warm smile. Stiles opened and closed his mouth repeatedly for a second before a girl with long strawberry colored hair smacked him in the back of the head. She turned to me and gave me a smile. “Just ignore Stiles, He isn’t the best talker out of little group. I’m Lydia Martin,. So, what brings you to Beacon Hills? This town isn’t exactly known for having transfers this late in the school year.” I could feel her look me over more than once. I cleared my throat feeling my mouth go a little dry. “Crap the Dread Doctors didn’t exactly give me a cover story…” I was lost in thought for a minute, until i heard her clear her throat, snapping me out of my thoughts. I signed and began to speak. “Well my step mom kicked me out and told me to come here. She said it was because she couldn’t deal with having a daughter who wasn’t her own. Beacon Hills was just the closest place she could send me.” I could feel my heart race a little as I lied to her. I didn’t know if she’d believe me or not. Lydia raised her eyebrow as I finished speaking with her eyes wide a little. Stiles snapped his fingers in front of her face causing her to snap back into reality. Stiles gently placed one of his hands on her shoulder making her dart her eyes towards him. “What the hell was that Lydia? were you having another one of you’re episodes again?” Lydia’s eyes darted across the room before she looked back at Stiles and I. “No, I’m alright. I just got lost in my thoughts for a minute. We should get back to focusing on the lesion before we get yelled out.” Lydia gave Stiles and I a once over before looking back into her textbook. Stiles and i looked at each other, I just shrugged-meanwhile Stiles stared at Lydia constipating if he should say something or not. I decided to turn my head back the front of the room not wanting to cause possibly more problems than I’ve already caused. The anxiety I had earlier I could feel it go away slowly. I looked up at the clock seeing we only had 5 minutes left of class. I pulled out my notebook and pen beginning to write down some stuff about Stiles, Lydia, my first ever panic attack in public-as I wrote in my notebook I could hear the clock slowly tick away. I felt relived in a way that my class was almost over. I felt like I was stuck I was stuck in time for most of it. I was deep in thought while writing that I almost didn’t hear the bell ring. I got up from my desk walking behind Stiles and Lydia.

As I walked out of the classroom, I could still feel more people watching me like I was fresh meat to some of them. While I was walking up the stairs to the second floor for my next class, I heard a familiar voice speaking. The voice sounded like Stiles and it sounded like he was talking to two other guys. I walked a little closer to the edge of the second floor listening closely. “Yeah man her eyes went wide for some reason after Jessie told the two of us about why she had to come to Beacon Hills.” Stiles said in a hush whisper. I began to hear another voice immediately along after Stiles’s. “Stiles come on. You know how Lydia gets with these visions, maybe she suspects Jessie of something. Jessie might have been lying to the two of you. You and Lydia can’t listen to heartbeats like Liam and I.” I heard Stiles let out a soft sign before hearing another voice. “Scott’s right. I mean, we know nothing about this Jessie girl. She could be some threat for all we know.” I could hear movement behind me, before I could turn around I felt two arms spin me around pinning me against the wall and railing. My eyes went wide for a moment seeing it was a girl with brown eyes and long deep brown hair. I saw her look me up and down like she wanted to eat me. My breath hitched slightly as I tried to get out of her grasp- her strength felt like a semi-truck was holding me instead of an actual person. She growled at me before she spoke. “Who the hell are you and why are spying on my friends?” She asked with a slight gruff to her voice. I looked into her eyes and it felt like a curse and a mistake all at once. ‘Look, I wasn’t meaning the spy on them. I just transferred here and I heard them bring my name up. I just got curious, that’s all. My name is Jessie, I met Stiles and Lydia in my first class. Ask Stilles if you don’t believe me.” She glared at me once more before she reluctantly let me go. I felt my breath finally come back as she did. “I’m watching you. If I catch you dong or planning anything…I swear I’ll-” “Malia, the girl just got here and you’re already t her? I doubt my dad wants to file a missing person’s report at the moment. So, will you please restrain yourself?” I whipped my head over to the second floor seeing Stilies and who I assume are Scott and Liam standing slightly behind him. Malia huffed and rolled her eyes but nodded. I stood against the wall for another minute deciding if I should move or stay put. I felt a hand touch my shoulder as i felt my body go stiff slightly. “Malia’s sorry about what she did. She’s just protective of us since we’re all really good friends. We’ve been through a lot together. I’m Scott and this is Liam.” He says with a smile and points at Liam who just nods. I didn’t say anything at first still processing what Scott had just told me.

Before I could speak, the bell rang for us to go to class. I started walking to my next class not realizing that Malia, Stiles, Liam and Scott were all head the same direction. I signed as realized it was Math. I hated Math. I zoned in and out throughout the first 20 minutes of class. I felt like i wanted to fall asleep. i have to admit though being somewhere the Dread Doctors weren’t was very refreshing. I don’t think I’ve ever spent this long away from them before but I didn’t hate it. I looked around once and saw Malia look back at me with a natural look plastered on her face. I immediately darted my eyes elsewhere because I was thought she was able to look into my soul with her eyes. The rest of the class was just the same. i could hear more voices as time went on. I don’t think my head hurt like this in a long while.

As the class continued on I could feel my ears ringing constantly. I let out a small groan in pain as I kept trying to pay more attention to what was being said. I couldn’t take this pain, it felt like my eyes were going to bleed at any moment. I knew thy weren’t but I couldn’t stop holding my hands over my ears. Scott’s desk was right beside mine. I could feel his eyes locked onto my figure as I just sat there in pain. I slowly started to rock back and fourth in my chair apart of me thought that would help the pain.

Suddenly I felt an arm wrap around me hugging me but it didn’t feel like Stiles. I looked over and saw that Scott was the one hugging me. He began to mouth something to me. “Just focus on one sound. Try to block out the rest. I know your in a lot of pain trust me, I’ve been there. just breath and focus on one sound. Okay?” He smiled after he mouthed what he wanted to say to me. I just nodded and uncovered my ears. I began to focus my hearing on a slow heartbeat. The heartbeat didn’t sound like it was coming from the same room as us though.

The heartbeat sounded like it was coming from the first floor but I couldn’t pinpoint the exact location. I tried to focus on working on the assignment that was given, as the heartbeat went on, I felt myself able to focus a lot more. The heartbeat was…weirdly calming. I know that sounds extremely morbid but it was nice to hear something slower instead of fast chatter and other noise. I looked around and saw that the room had gone quieter except for the subtle sound of pen and pencil to paper.

The rest of class went on faster than expected, as the bell rang I, along with Scott and the others started filing the halls. I spent the next few classes like normal. The last bell rang just before lunch so that’s where we went. The cafeteria was larger than I realized-it felt so out of place being there instead of where the Dread Doctors typically make me go. The lunch was better than I could’ve imagined it was actually warm, delicious food. I know that to most people, this type of lunch would be compared to prison food. I never knew the reasoning behind that. I could definitely say that the food here was a hell of a lot better than what the Dread Doctors made me eat.

As I sat there eating my food, I could still hear that heartbeat. The heartbeat actually sounded a lot closer than it did before. I was considering going to see if I could find out where the heartbeat was coming from but I didn’t want to draw attention to myself. I looked over and saw Malia looking at me curiosity. I just decided to ignore it though because I didn’t want her to attack me again. Well… almost attack me. I decided to sit alone because I didn’t want to bother anyone. I wasn’t exactly friends with Scott’s pack yet, I didn’t want them to catch on to my plans. The cafeteria felt like it was a lot more packed then it was before even though lunch was almost over. I got up and threw away my food, not that there was much food to throw away anyway. By the time i got back to my table the bell rang again signaling that lunch was over. I looked over ad saw Scott and the others leaving. I got up and followed them out of the cafeteria.

The last class of the day was actually gym but since the lacrosse team had a game coming up that following weekend coach just wanted us to watch instead. We made our way to the lacrosse field, I had never seen anything like it before. The filed was really wide almost like a football field in some ways and the grass was a beautiful bright Green honestly, that was probably due to being sprayed by chemicals and water regularly.

I sat in the bleachers next to Lydia and Malia watching the practice. Coach blew the whistle and the practice started. Once the practice started everyone in the bleachers started cheering. I actually had to cover my ears for a minute because Malia was cheering so loud. I looked over at Lydia and she just shrugged her shoulders. I turned my head to face the field so I could watch the practice. The practice was getting brutal by the minute. I knew Scott and Liam were werewolves so the games and practices were a lot more dangerous for any normal human. “So does anyone get seriously hurt while playing or during practice?” i asked with a hint of concern. Malia looked over and smiled at me with wicked smile before answering. “Well not everyone on the team are humans. Obviously people are going to get hurt. Eve if they were all human, that doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be any casualties.” My eyes went wide for a second before looking back at the field. I tried processing what Malia had just told me. The way she said it…it felt like she was on to me about something. Does she know that I might know about Scott and the others being supernatural creatures? I shook those thoughts out of my head focusing on the practice itself.

The practice had finally ended a lot later then we realized. I was leaving the bleachers to the parking lot of the school when I heard that familiar heartbeat again…I turned round to see a truck in the school parking lot. My curiosity peaked so I decided to walk closer. I see a figure inside the truck…just sleeping peacefully. My heart raced slightly as I walked a few inches closer realizing who it was…It was Theo Raeken.
