This story is Part One of Rook’s journey, set within the world of the ShadowLight Chronicles. It can be read as a standalone, but it also serves as an early glimpse into threads that connect to the main series.

The first book of the ShadowLight Chronicles, Shadow’s Fangs, is where the larger tale begins. Other short stories may appear along the way, but Rook’s Part Two will not be released until later in the series, once events in Shadow’s Fangs and beyond have unfolded.

Think of this as a lantern lit at the edge of a greater road — one that leads into the heart of the ShadowLight Chronicles.

Summary
