The Hanu Chronicles: The Lost Line (Part I)

Summary

There are guardians even in Middle-earth, though no song or scroll names them. The Hanu (Han- new) walk unseen - keepers of chaos and order, bound by oaths older than the Valar themselves. Their shield is secrecy; their duty, eternal. Few know their presence. Fewer still understand their burden. As the Fellowship gathers and the Shadow grows, another story moves quietly alongside. The Guardian of Balance does not stand in councils nor lead in battle - but walks the spaces in between, where choice and consequence bend unseen. This is a tale of parallel paths: a hidden watcher bound to Middle-earth, whose silent influence brushes against the great journey, though her name will never be written in the Red Book. 📌 A crossover of Tolkien's legendarium and the Hanu Chronicles - not a retelling, but a parallel myth, unfolding in the quiet between great deeds.

Foundation Poem: Seven Pillars

Seven Pillars knit the worlds

together — hand in hand.

Swords and shields, oaths be sworn...

Interweaving red strands.

From the Seven came the Houses,

symbols of chaos and order,

Protecting and guiding both time and space...

Always transitional.

The First House unified all within creation.

The Second completed the cycle—

death and life coexist, never one without the other.

The Third brought with them the gift of healing,

warm and gentle souls.

The Fourth created order to stem the chaos,

to help govern and control.

The Fifth allowed curiosity to be nurtured,

so that all could grow.

The Sixth brought the chaos back within the order,

sin hidden in shadows.

The Seventh broke the unity,

so that the next steps could be taken.

War and chaos then ensued: the cycle thus completed,

The Seven then disappeared...

Thy descendants are still here,

mixed within the sea and shadows.

Their guiding hand revered,

Forever lost, forever here...

Both worshipped... and forsaken
