Chapter 1
There are two types of quiet in a house full of kids.
The first kind is rare. Magical, even.
It usually lasts about 30 seconds and tricks you into thinking life is finally under control.
The second kind?
That's the dangerous kind.
That's the kind where you stop mid-dish, slowly look around, and realize no one has asked for a snack, cried, or yelled "MOM" in at least two minutes.
And that's when you know...
Something is very, very wrong.
In my house, quiet usually means one of three things:
Someone found something they definitely shouldn't have...
Someone is making a mess I will discover later
Or worst of all... they're working together
And if you're a mom, you already know
teamwork is never a good sign.
