Prologue

In the beginning, there was the Ether. It was not a void—it was everything. Every spark of light, every breath of wind, every atom of existence. And within this infinite ocean of energy, souls existed.

The laws of the Universe are simple, yet ruthless. A soul wandering through the worlds must evolve. Those who pass through the fire of trials and do not flicker out become Angels—the closest to the Ether, the higher beings. But there are those who give up. When the pain becomes unbearable, when a soul endures the Hell of a miserable life several times in a row, it self-destructs, returning to the primordial chaos to one day be reborn—pure and primal.

This is the story of a soul that began its journey in the radiance of Eden—a world where magic and technology were one. It rose from a common warrior to greatness, earning the right to the Angelic Stigmata—the marks of the Ether itself. But the betrayal of friends and a rebellion against God cast it down from the heights. Light cannot exist without shadow. Some of the primordial beings, seduced by boundless power over reality, became corrupted. Their essence transformed, turning them into Demons. This darkness was not evil in its purest form—it became a mirror to the light, a necessary counterweight to balance the universe. Eden fell in the flames of a great betrayal, and the fragments of its majesty were scattered across the endless cosmos.

One such fragment was Venataria. A world of cold logic and incredible technology, inhabited by three powerful races: humans, elves, and dwarves. The Venatarians had conquered matter, knowing nothing of magic until their machines touched the Ether itself. That touch proved fatal. Having lost their own Eden, the Angels and Demons turned their gaze upon this new, promising world.

The world of technology was dragged into the age-old battle of higher entities. The heavens of Venataria shuddered from the clash of light and shadow. The planet changed forever: the atmosphere filled with mana—a raw yet powerful echo of the Ether that became the source of magic. The Angels knew the devastating power of this energy. They helped humans master mana, transforming technological geniuses into the first mages.

In the heat of the battle, the single continent of Venataria fractured into several pieces. New spawns of darkness and light emerged. The war raged for ages, yet no victor emerged. The Demons were banished, while the Angels, having suffered staggering losses, abandoned Venataria. They left behind a Barrier intended to hold the evil at bay, granting the descendants of the light-born races a chance to prepare for the coming battle.
