Chapter 1: Home Invasion.
On a bright, sunny day in Ironton, Missouri, in a tranquil, gated neighborhood, Deborah Powell was diligently completing her household chores. Unbeknownst to her, her troubled teenage son, Travis Powell, was observing her from the driver's seat of his dark blue four-door Toyota Camry. Recently released from a state mental hospital, he had escaped, and his mother remained unaware of his presence.
Deborah, 37 years old, stood at 5'7" with shoulder-length dark auburn hair and warm brown eyes. A divorced woman, she finished her chores and set out in her vibrant red four-door Toyota Corolla to run errands. Meanwhile, Travis began to follow her, shadowing her every move as she visited the bank, post office, library, and supermarket, his intentions unclear and unsettling.
