Summary

A wedding function is underway in a garden filled with food stalls and people dressed in traditional attire. A girl, five-foot-two and wearing a simple suit, is running back and forth. Her aunt signals for her to come to the stage to help, but as she rushes toward it, she suddenly feels herself lifted into the air. She raises her head to understand what is happening, only to find that a six-foot-tall man has lifted her by the waist right in the middle of the crowded garden. Her face went pale with fear. Looking into his dark brown eyes, she felt like a baby deer caught in the grip of a lion. Her mind raced with panic—what would her parents think? She could almost see their reputation being stained in an instant. In that moment of shock, she wondered: what would happen to all her dreams now?

Chapter 1- background of heroine

Hello everyone! From my name, Ayesha Singh Rajput, you likely already have an idea of my background. I belong to a traditional Rajput family where customs, rituals, and strict rules govern our daily lives. I was born to a successful businessman and a mother who was once a librarian but is now a dedicated homemaker. To my friends, I am the 'Princess' of the family, yet I don't look the part.

I am twenty-four years old, and you will never find me in fashionable clothes or heavy makeup. Even at the most important social events, I choose a simple suit and a natural look. Why do I stay so plain despite my family's status? That is a secret you will have to uncover as my story unfolds."

Beyond the rules and rituals of my Rajput family, my world is built on the laws of the universe. I recently completed my Post Graduation in Physics, and for the past  year, I have been balancing my Bachelor of Education studies with intense preparation for the CSIR NET. My days are filled with formulas and pedagogy, not fashion or social climbing.

My friends may call me a 'Princess,' but my true kingdom is found in my textbooks and my dreams of becoming an educator. This is why being lifted off the ground at a crowded wedding is so terrifying—it isn't just about my family's reputation; it's about the dignity I’ve worked so hard to build through my studies. I am a woman of science and structure, suddenly caught in a moment that feels entirely out of my control."

My life is a balance between the ancient traditions of my Rajput heritage and the modern laws of Physics. While my friends see a 'Princess,' I see a woman who has spent the last year submerged in textbooks, completing my Post Graduation and pursuing my Bachelor of Education. My mind is usually occupied with preparing for the CSIR NET, not with the social whirl of a marriage function. I choose a simple suit and a face free of makeup because my dreams are built on substance, not shadows. But in a single, breathless moment in a crowded garden, my carefully constructed world has been tilted off its axis.

As I look into the dark eyes of the man who has lifted me from the ground, I am left with so many questions:

Why did a six-foot-tall stranger choose to pick me up in front of everyone I know?

How will this public moment affect my family’s reputation and my own dreams of becoming an educator?

And most importantly, what is the real reason I have spent twenty-four years hiding my beauty behind a 'simple' look?"

Let's find these answers in upcoming chapters.
