Chapter 1
What a world!
In deepest dark,
The hearts of men,
Blackened to their core.
The blood of the innocent,
Cries from the ground,
Yet no justice prevail.
No hand to right the wrong.
Stamping feet
Where will they find rest?
The earth trembles still,
As restless souls wander,
Longing to be seen.
The corrupted hearts of men,
Bound by selfish desire,
Take pleasure in cruelty.
Who then can save?
And yet, in the bleakest hour,
When brutality covers the land,
A voice speaks:
"Remain still"
His guidance stands,
Firm and sure,
All he asks: "peace"
Soon the cries of the innocent
Will be silenced.
For he shall rise and
"Slay the wicked"
The voices of the innocent
Will at last be heard.
And then,
Peace shall remain.
