Summary

Alessa Coleman prided herself on three things: managing Aaron Art Gallery flawlessly, keeping her life under control, and never—ever—getting involved with someone like him. And by him, she meant the man standing right in front of her—tall, annoyingly handsome, and way too familiar. Andrew Willison. The same man who had found her passed out drunk in her apartment elevator just last week. The same man who had recently moved into her building. And somehow, the same man whose artwork the entire city was desperate to see… and the very man her boss had been relentlessly pushing her to bring into the gallery. Yet here she was, standing across from him in her own kitchen, realizing—with growing horror—that fate had a twisted sense of humor. Because this man… was about to become her husband. Temporarily. Fake. Completely ridiculous. "Just act like my wife," he said casually, sipping his coffee like it was the most normal thing in the world. She blinked. Once. Twice. Then let out a small, disbelieving laugh. "You do realize this is insane, right?" He only shrugged. "You do realize it's the only way I get my art into your gallery." Alessa stared at him. …Was she really going to agree to this?

Alessa Coleman

Alessa Coleman, manager of Aaron Art Gallery. Smart, stubborn, and a little too organized for her own good. Alessa believes everything in life should be picture-perfect... until she wakes up one morning realizing her “perfect life” involves being fake-married to her neighbor. She’s classy with a temper, confident with a soft heart, and just trying to survive one chaotic deal with the world’s most frustratingly attractive man.

“I didn’t plan for him. And that’s exactly the problem.”

Andrew Willison

Andrew Tate Willison, a world-renowned photographer known for his breathtaking shots and for being a complete mystery. No one has ever seen his face. No one ever knows what kind of man is he nor how he is look alike and he likes it that way. Charming but private, Andrew only wants peace and his camera... until his grandmother’s will forces him into finding a wife. Practical solution? Convince his neighbor, the woman he once found drunk in an elevator to play the part.

“I didn’t choose you because it was easy. I chose you because you wouldn’t lie well... and I needed something real in my Life”

Amber Amberson

Amber Amberson, Mary’s partner-in-crime at the Aaron Art Gallery.Sarcastic yet gentle, and full of dramatic energy that could wake the dead. She’s the type who laughs first and thinks later, and she never fails to drag Mary into her chaotic little world of romantic fantasies. A hopeless romantic to the core, Amber firmly believes her true love will arrive holding coffee in one hand and flowers in the other... preferably in slow motion.

“One day, someone’s going to show up with coffee, flowers, and perfect timing...and I’m not settling for anything less.”

Jason Cannon

Jason Cannon, Andrew’s eldest brother’s assistant and his long-time best friend. Sharp, stoic, and dangerously serious until Amber walks into the room. Beneath his calm, composed exterior hides a man who gets completely thrown off by her chaos. He’s the type to plan everything down to the minute... except his reactions when Amber starts talking.

“I’m not interested in chaos. Unfortunately, chaos seems very interested in me.”

Alessa and Andrew

“We’re just acting.”

“Then why does it feel like you’re the only real thing in my life right now?”

Amber and Jason

“You’re not my type.”
