Part 1 — The Accidental Hand Hold 🫶
Tanya was sitting quietly at her desk, doodling absentmindedly in her notebook. She tried to act calm, but the moment Trisha walked into the classroom, her heart skipped a beat.
Tanya couldn’t take her eyes off Trisha — the way she smiled at her friends, the little bounce in her step… it all felt like it was happening in slow motion.
Trisha noticed Tanya staring but gave her a teasing smile anyway as she walked toward her seat.
“Hey Tanya, ready for lunch?” Trisha asked casually, sliding into the seat next to her.
Tanya blinked, trying to act normal. “Uh… yeah, sure…” she mumbled, her face warming up. Inside, her brain was screaming:
“Oh my god… my heart is literally melting right now!” 😭💀
The bell rang, signaling tiffin time. Tanya got up, carrying her lunch tray, when a group of kids suddenly jostled her in the corridor.
She stumbled and almost fell — right into Trisha.
Instinctively, Trisha grabbed her, steadying her with both hands. But as she did, her fingers brushed Tanya’s, and she casually held Tanya’s hand for a moment — just to make sure she didn’t fall.
Tanya froze. Her heart was pounding.
“Oh my god… her hand… her hand is in mine… it’s just a friendly thing, but I… I can’t breathe 😭💘”
Trisha laughed softly, releasing her after a moment. “Careful, Tanya. Watch where you’re going,” she said with her usual playful tone.
Still, Tanya couldn’t help but notice how warm and natural Trisha’s hand felt in hers, and how her own fingers lingered a little too long against Trisha’s.
As they walked together, casually talking and laughing about nothing in particular, Tanya felt her chest tighten. Every glance, every laugh, every subtle touch was making her feel something she hadn’t expected.
By the time they reached their tiffin spot, Tanya’s mind was in chaos, and her heart was still racing. But one thing was certain:
she would never forget that hand hold. 🫢💖
