Summary

Donato Enrique "Derick" Elizalde was the love of Madison's life, the man of her dreams since her college days. God, he was the only man whose attention she had ever desperately craved. The moment she first laid eyes on him, Madison knew she had to have him. But fate was relentlessly cruel. Her beauty and her constant efforts to tempt him had absolutely no effect on Derick. He remained completely oblivious to her existence. Deep down, she knew he would never pursue a woman like her—until she finally got her chance to be with him. Madison had already imagined how intoxicating it would feel to be wrapped in his arms, especially when his lips finally claimed hers. Her desire was burning higher than ever—until Derick uttered the words that completely shattered the magic between them. "You know, I'm not into fat women..." How dare he! Madison swore right then and there to prove to Derick that she was so much more than the "fat woman" he saw.

Chapter 1

“The flower opens, the cock enters! Dancing the cha-cha, oh, it feels so damn good!”

Madison cast an amused glance at Camille. They had just finished their one-hour morning Zumba workout at the Bodacious Belles Club. They were on the second floor of the four-story building, an area entirely dedicated to health and fitness where they worked out every morning with other club members. The floor was fully equipped with gym machines, and several members were already busy lifting.

Madison and Valerie sat on the floor, watching their co-members continue with the routine. Everyone was following the same steps, except for Camille, who seemed to be dancing to her music with her own unique moves.

Valerie nudged her and pointed with her lips. “Look at Camille, blooming like a freshly watered plant. She’s in such a good mood. What’s going on there?”

“I noticed,” Madison replied. “Just the other day, she didn’t even want to see or talk to any of us after she caught her boyfriend cheating.”

Camille had cried her eyes out after she caught her boyfriend, Troy, having sex with another man in his apartment. It was genuinely shocking. Troy was handsome, incredibly muscular, and well-known for posting thirst traps on Instagram. But just as their gay friends at the beauty salon always warned them: be careful with gym-obsessed guys. They weren’t generalizing all gym-goers, but it was definitely a trend nowadays—guys bulking up just for the aesthetic and appeal. There was absolutely nothing wrong with being gay; it was their choice and their life. As long as they didn’t hurt other people by hiding it and using women as beards.

Camille seemed to realize they were talking about her and turned around. Her lips curved into a naughty smile. She swayed her hips as she approached Madison and Valerie.

She raised a perfectly drawn eyebrow. Out of everyone working out, Camille was the only one crazy enough to wear heels. “Good morning, sisters.” She gave Madison and Valerie air kisses as she approached. “Something tells my inner fat goddess that you two are talking about me. What is it, hmm?”

A laugh escaped Madison’s lips, and she pointed at Valerie. “She started it. My lips are sealed, sis.”

“Oh, blame it on me?” Valerie reacted defensively. “I just said Camille is looking extra pretty today.”

“Really now?” Camille turned to the large mirror attached to the wall, running a hand through her long, wavy hair. Madison couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy at Camille’s natural brown hair, especially her mestiza features. She looked so much like Liza Soberano. If a stranger saw her, they’d immediately assume she was the famous actress’s sister. Because of that, even as a plus-size woman, men practically fell over themselves trying to get to her. They adored her; they loved her.

Madison couldn’t stop the jealousy from creeping in. Camille didn’t even have to try to get noticed. Men naturally gravitated toward her. Sometimes, Madison wished she could be just like Camille.

Because she wasn’t as beautiful as her. She wasn’t on the same level as Camille and Valerie. Sure, there were plenty of times she received compliments from her co-members in the BBC.

People often told her she was beautiful and that she looked like Angel Locsin. Even back in high school, her gay cousins used to tell her she resembled the former Darna actress. And she’d always react with a playful, "Really, bestie? Is this a joke? Are you okay?! Huh? Hmmm!”

They would just laugh even harder whenever she tried to mimic Angel’s voice. She was flattered by all the compliments, but a part of her still couldn’t believe them. Or, more accurately, she just lacked the confidence.

Even though she was named after the beautiful mermaid Madison from the movie Splash, she felt like the complete opposite of that character. A gorgeous mermaid persona didn’t fit her at all. She felt more like a beached whale. She would perfectly fit the role of Pearl—Mr. Krabs’ giant teenage daughter from SpongeBob SquarePants. She’d nail that role, especially since she wore more lipstick than an Avon endorser.

“So, what really happened to you?” Madison pried. “You seem totally fine now. You moved on fast, huh?”

“Yes, and you wouldn’t believe it, guys. I got laid last night.”

Madison and Valerie had the same reaction. “OMG. Seriously, girl?”

“Yup.”

“Who is it this time? Hey, crazy! I know there’s nothing wrong with fucking a closeted gay guy, but haven’t you learned your lesson, sis?” Valerie asked, chugging water from her bottle.

“Excuse me? I’m not fucking another gay guy. And for the record, Troy and I only had sex once. We both wasted that time, so I really can’t remember much. All I know is he didn’t eat my pussy. Gosh, I should have gotten the hint right then and there.”

“Girl, if he ate your pussy, he probably would have been poisoned,” Valerie quipped, bursting into laughter. Poison was the slang their gay friends used when a gay man hooked up with a woman.

“So who was it?” they pressed, but Camille just shook her head.

“No, I’m keeping my mouth shut for now, sisters. But you definitely know him. Because he’s really hot and totally swoon-worthy. I honestly can’t believe he did it with me.”

“You’re such a tease,” Valerie said, rolling her eyes.

Madison’s eyes narrowed. “Hot and swoon-worthy? Don’t tell me it’s Derick. I swear I’ll pull your hair.”

But she knew that was impossible. Derick had a sexy model girlfriend right now. The woman’s name was Bianca Torres, the latest face of a renowned clothing brand, and Madison constantly saw her in commercials.

She stared at Camille. Then again, it wasn’t entirely impossible for Derick to cheat with Camille. If it came down to a beauty contest, her friend could easily beat his sexy model girlfriend. It wouldn’t be a stretch for him to hook up with her...

“OMG.” Camille covered her mouth, her eyes widening as she stared at Madison.

Madison’s heart pounded against her ribs. “What is it? Don’t tell me it really is Derick?”

Derick Elizalde. The love of her life. He has been the man of her wet dreams since her college days. God, he was the only man whose attention she had ever desperately craved. The first time she saw him, Madison knew she had to have him. But fate was relentlessly cruel to her.

No matter how hard she tried to get his attention, her beauty had absolutely no effect on him. He was completely oblivious to her existence. Even if she did the splits right in front of him, he wouldn’t care. Maybe he’d notice her, but not as a woman. Only as a piece of entertainment.

He would never go for a woman like her. In all the years since she first heard of him, she had learned practically everything there was to know about Derick. He liked to date sexy, long-legged girls. These were the kind of women who graced the covers of FHM and made his guy friends jealous when he introduced them. Almost all of his exes were gorgeous and tall.

She was the exact opposite of his type. She was a fat-ass woman. She didn’t want to be negative, but it was the truth. And the truth sets you free, right? She had long accepted that she belonged to the plus-size demographic. She had stopped hoping she would magically wake up one day looking like Megan Fox. Ever since she joined the Bodacious Belles Club, she had learned to accept herself. She learned that every woman needs to embrace her body because she is beautiful, no matter what.

“Oh my god, Maddie! Don’t tell me you’re still dead-ass in love with Derick?” Valerie exclaimed.

Madison pouted. “So what? Derick is my first love and will always be the one for me.”

“My god, girl. You’ve liked him since college. You’re twenty-six now, and you’re still blindly hoping.”

“Not just hoping. Assuming,” Camille added, earning a deadly glare from Madison.

“So, was Derick the one who banged you?” Madison asked.

“Excuse me, banged? Well, I believe what happened last night was more than just a fuck.” Madison felt a sharp sting in her chest at her friend’s answer. Did that mean it really was Derick?

“Whatever. You still got banged; it’s the same thing,” Valerie retorted. Their gay friends had heavily influenced their vocabulary.

Madison let out a sad, heavy sigh and started packing up her gym bag. “I’m going to head out ahead of you guys.”

“Oh, wait, what’s with the sad face?” Camille asked.

Madison realized she had no justification for feeling hurt or upset at the prospect of Camille and Derick getting together. But she just couldn’t help it.

“Don’t tell me you actually think Derick is the guy I hooked up with?”

“Isn’t he?”

“No! Are you crazy? As if we’d ever click. I don’t like bad boys like Derick Elizalde.”

The heavy weight crushing Madison’s chest vanished instantly. A wide smile broke across her lips. Camille noticed it and smirked knowingly.

“And I think you’re going to have an even bigger reason to smile after I tell you this.”

Madison frowned slightly. “What is it?”

“Derick and Bianca broke up.”

And just as Camille predicted, Madison had every reason to smile. The news of Derick and Bianca’s breakup spread like wildfire. It immediately reached the gay staff at her beauty salon.

“Madam, Derick and his FHM model girlfriend broke up,” Trixie—or Tristan, his real name—gossiped the moment Madison arrived at the salon. Trixie was in the middle of cutting a client’s hair.

Madison smiled sweetly. “I know.”

“So, madam, what exactly did you do to demolish their relationship? Did you let Derick bang you so he’d leave her?”

Madison burst out laughing and sat in the salon chair next to Trixie’s client. “Shut up, crazy! I had absolutely nothing to do with their breakup.” She grabbed a tube of red lipstick and applied it carefully. She felt like making herself look extra beautiful today. Especially now that the man she lusted after was finally back on the market.

“Are you sure, madam?”

“Whatever, Trixie! My beauty is completely innocent.” Madison was honestly shocked by the news, too. Why would Derick and Bianca break up? They had been together for almost two years. Out of all of Derick’s girlfriends, Bianca had lasted the longest.

“I guess so. Because the gossip out on the streets is that the girl was actually the one who dumped Derick.”

“Really?”

“True story. Rumor has it Derick proposed to her. It was probably too shocking for the girl, and she wasn’t ready to settle down, so she broke it off.”

“That is shocking.” It seemed Derick had been entirely serious about Bianca and genuinely wanted to marry her.

“She probably got scared, Madam. She didn’t want to lose her career, especially now that she’s starting to make a name for herself in showbiz. It would be a waste of an opportunity, right?”

Madison couldn’t care less about Bianca. But Trixie was right; the woman was getting famous, and it would be a shame not to grab those opportunities. Being tied down wasn’t exactly a great career move for a rising actress.

But it was a massive mistake on her part. Letting Derick go? He was a phenomenal catch. Women had been throwing themselves at him for years. And now that he was single again, Madison was certain the vultures would start circling.

Derick’s family was known in Batangas as one of the wealthiest clans. They owned multiple businesses across the province. In fact, Derick owned the commercial building where Madison rented two spaces for her businesses—one for her beauty salon and the other for her women’s clothing store.

He even owned the other commercial building right next door. And those were just his properties in this specific town, not counting the establishments he had built in neighboring cities.

That was why she couldn’t understand Bianca. Did she have any idea how many women were practically drooling over her boyfriend? She made a wrong move. She wouldn’t even need to be an actress if she became Derick’s wife. She was so lucky... to have someone like him in her life, Madison would have been entirely content.

Back in college, Madison had been content just watching him from afar. She attended every single one of his basketball games. She never missed an opportunity to see him.

There was even one time she volunteered to wear the heavy, suffocating team mascot costume. It was a crazy idea. But she did it for him. Just so she could get close to Derick. Just so she could hug him, even if she were hidden inside a giant suit. He had no idea it was her, and it felt amazing. She had done so many crazy things because she was madly in love with him. She wasn’t dangerously obsessed; she just loved the feeling of being near him, of seeing him. And damn, she loved his scent. He smelled so masculine. Even when he was drenched in sweat, she wanted to breathe him in. She wanted to drag her lips all over his body.

And God knows how badly she wanted to kiss him. To taste his lips. And then taste the heat of his skin to feel his hard muscles with her tongue.

Just the thought of it sent a familiar, heavy heat coursing through her body. More often than not, she’d find herself alone in the shower room, her fingers thrusting inside herself, hitting her sweet spot, and moaning hard as she imagined Derick.

A filthy, steamy scene would play on a loop in her mind: her thighs wrapped tightly around his waist and Derick thrusting between her legs, rough and completely merciless. She wanted him inside her. She wanted him to claim her hard.

But she was perfectly aware of reality. She couldn’t have him. The only way she could ever have Derick was in her wet dreams. Fuck, her dreams were the only place she could ever taste him.

“Darna is here.”

Madison just rolled her eyes at her friends. Her friend group consisted of guys, girls, gays, and lesbians. They were basically a walking rainbow. And of course, she was the token chubby friend. No offense to her.

“Fierce. Madam is giving us ‘Lady in Red’ energy. Valentine’s Day came early, huh, sis?” Valerie commented, making their gay friends erupt into laughter.

They were inside the Purple Haus, a popular bar and club owned by Valerie. Valerie co-owned it with her sister, Victoria, a well-known plus-size model who had been a contestant on a reality TV show. Victoria was also a member of the Bodacious Belles Club, and she was the one who loved calling Madison “Darna” because she resembled an actress who portrayed the character.

Madison had been hanging out with Valerie and the rest of their college friends here every Friday night to party.

“Where’s Camille?” Madison asked as she took the seat next to Valerie.

“The crazy girl didn’t tag along. I think she’s meeting with her new boy toy again.” Valerie took a sip of her drink and turned to Madison, dragging her eyes up and down her body. “What’s with the sexy outfit tonight?”

Madison looked down at herself. Her breasts were practically spilling out of her red halter dress, the tight fabric perfectly accentuating her thick, curvy figure. She had wide hips and a very prominent, shapely ass. Madison was highly aware she was blessed in the backside department. As her gay friends always said, she could give Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian a run for their money.

“Nothing. I just felt like I needed to look hot tonight,” she said, pouting her bright red lips.

“Oh, well, obviously! But confess, did someone spill the tea for you?”

Confusion painted Madison’s face. “Spill what tea?”

“You seriously don’t know?”

“Know what?”

Valerie smirked and then subtly shifted her gaze to a dark corner of the bar. With a questioning look in her eyes, Madison followed her friend’s line of sight.

Then, her eyes widened. For a moment, it felt like the entire world stopped spinning. The deafening club music faded into the background, and the flashing strobe lights seemed to focus solely on the man sitting alone in the corner.

He was completely alone. No beautiful, sexy woman draped over his table.

She didn’t know if her eyes were playing tricks on her. Maybe she was just hallucinating. She blinked hard, but the image remained.

Derick Elizalde was really sitting right there.

Even from a distance, she could feel the raw heat radiating from his body. His dominating presence filled the room, even in the dimly lit corner. From where she sat, she could clearly see his jaw clenching.

Oh, he was furious. He was probably thinking about his ex. Bianca had dumped him, and she was likely the only woman on earth who had ever done that to Derick Elizalde.

She watched as he raised a bottle of liquor to his mouth and chugged it down. Once again, his jaw tightened.

Madison bit her lower lip, unable to stop the sudden rush of heat pooling between her thighs. Lord, forgive her, but even when he was pissed off, he was incredibly arousing. She instantly imagined that sharp, masculine jaw grinding against her thighs, his mouth hovering right over her core.

She almost let out a moan. “Goddammit. Valerie. Is your club’s AC broken?” She frantically fanned her face with her hand.

“It’s not my AC that’s broken. It’s your body’s reaction to Derick, hon.”

Madison glared at her.

“You know, if I were you, I’d walk right up to him. This is your chance, sis. Are you really going to let this slip away?”

Madison’s gaze darted back to the man. Valerie was right. If she didn’t make a move now, another woman in this club would definitely beat her to it.

She swallowed the thick knot of tension rising in her throat. She ran her palms down the tight fabric of her red halter dress, making sure the hem sat perfectly on her thighs. Then, she gently flipped her long, wavy hair over her shoulder. She had spent hours perfecting this look in front of the mirror, after all.

“Okay. Bring it on.” In her killer five-inch heels, she sauntered straight toward Derick Elizalde.
