Strange Pacing
"One of the most unique and original plots I've ever come across. So much potential but the pacing and style just made it a frustrating read. Everything felt so rushed and devoid of feeling or tension or humanity. Like it's a sequence of events listed by a robot. Everything happens so quickly that we don't have time to feel anything for any of the characters or even care about the main characters at all. It's all surface level... like "this happened and then that happened and we did this next thing" No matter how many times it says their bond is deep and powerful, it doesn't feel that way. None of the conflict or villains or tension feels like anything because it's over so fast with no doubt that it's going to turn out okay. Strange repeating of phrases from previous chapters. Like word for word full sentences repeated. Also there was this strange plot point where an ex shows up with a secret child at the end of one chapter and then nothing. Never mentioned again. No resolution. Beginning of the next chapter just jumps forward as of that never happened."
