Prologue
The three strangers stand in front of Mr. Boss, not too pleased to be there. Lexi is picking apart her long curly red hair. Layla keeps yawning and Rosie is entirely asleep. Mr. Boss sighs and shakes his head. Why did he choose these three to be the following ‘Charlie’s angels’? Layla speaks more than three languages and has been taught by her nana. Lexi is an amazing strategist and can fight like a tiger. The sleeping Rosie is more or so the tech whiz.
“Some of us have better things to do, sir,” Layla, short black hair, says. Curly red-haired, Lexi is still picking apart her hair in hopes of ever finding an end to it. Short, black-haired Layla points at the two on either side of her, “If you don’t mind, I need to leave….”
Rosie slips to the floor. Thud. The sound was loud enough to wake anyone but Rosie. “I am amazed at how she even dares to sleep at a time like this”, Layla states.
“I enrolled you all to a different school” at this the three gapes at Mr. Boss. If he was trying to poke a hole and find gold, well he found more than gold.
It took maybe six hours just for the mere thought to register in their teenage minds. Rosie is being info-dumped as we speak.
“Wait..!” Rosie says, as soon as she’s had enough. “So, we are the next ‘Charlie’s Angels’?”
Layla and Lexi nod at her question. “And we have been enrolled in another school”
“Seems kind of boring if you ask me”
Lexi throws up her hands, while Rosie rolls her eyes. The girls all sit in their corner of the room and sigh. Lexi gazes out the window sill hoping for the phone call she got 2 weeks ago saying her parents are not dead but might end up dead if she doesn’t retrieve the ‘mysterious file’ soon.
The morning after seemed like a drag compared to the rest. Rosie and Lexi seem to be still curled up in bed, enjoying most of their supposed ‘fantasy’. Layla tries on a thousand clothes before deciding
on a sexy slim dress. She hovers over Lexi first, hands on either side of her curvy hips. Shaking her head, she moves on to Rosie. Her dream mostly consists of catching cyber criminals.
They ran to grab breakfast and went straight to the training room. Lexi and Layla were the ones in. Rosie was just close behind. She takes in a massive breath before asking, “So Why are we here so…early?”
“I will clarify everything once we get there. Miss Jazz?”
Miss Jazz, the same age as Mr. Boss approaches him in quick strides, heels clicking on the floor. “Yes, Sir?”
“These are the kids you will look after like your own”
“Of course. Hi children, I am Miss Jazz or Diana Jazz and I am the scientist around here. I design everything from lipstick guns to Lightning whip”
Lexi was practically beaming about to burst with bliss. Except the thing she most certainly was not expecting was him. Not that.
