Day 1: God Is Still Speaking
Have you ever felt like God has gone quiet?
Like your prayers are rising, but nothing seems to return?
You try to remain faithful. You keep believing, even when it feels hard. Yet deep within, a quiet question lingers:
“God… are You even listening?”
Sometimes it’s not loud doubt, but a gentle ache, a feeling of distance you can’t quite explain.
But what if it isn’t distance at all?
Scripture
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Devotional Message
God has never stopped speaking.
Not in your waiting. Not in your confusion. Not even in your silence.
His voice is constant—but our awareness of it often fades in the middle of life’s noise. We are surrounded by distractions, responsibilities, and thoughts that never seem to rest. And in all of that, it becomes easy to miss the quiet ways God speaks.
Because He often whispers.
He speaks through peace that settles gently in your heart. Through a thought that brings clarity instead of confusion. Through moments that seem small, yet feel deeply significant.
But if you are only listening for something loud, you might miss Him entirely.
Sometimes, it’s not that God is silent—it’s that we are overwhelmed.
And when your mind is full, even a whisper can feel far away.
Yet God is not distant.
He is near. Present. Speaking even now—not in chaos, but in peace.
The question is not whether God is speaking, but whether you are creating space to hear Him.
And that begins with slowing down.
Personal Reflection
Have I been expecting God to speak in a certain way?
When last did I truly pause and listen?
Prayer
God, help me quiet the noise within me. Teach me to recognize Your voice, even in the smallest moments. Remind me that You are near and always speaking. Draw me closer and help me trust You more each day.
Amen.
