Burning
Picture this. You’re a 21 female working at a coffee shop for a small pay and living in a very small apartment. Sad right? Well that’s me. I never really planned on an exciting life. Well not anymore. See I’m not like other girls, and before you start calling me a pick me, it’s a different kind of ‘different’. Im immortal. Crazy? Yeah I know.
It wasn’t always like this. Back in 1692, I was a blond, blue eyed girl, who loved reading. Apparently if a lady even looked at a book, they would be accused of being a witch. Even though, they probably weren’t. They tied me up and was getting ready to burn me. I faced the crowd head high, tears streaming down my face. I looked at the people, shouting, screaming, cursing. I didn’t do anything wrong. Why me? Then I heard something. A quite voice, I couldn’t make it out. I looked closely to the crowd, a girl, saying something under her breath. Her eyes glowed a faint blue, ‘a witch…’ I thought. What was she saying? Before I could beg for mercy I felt an agonizing pain of the flames burning me. I screamed and closed my eyes in pain, and the crowd went silent. I open my eyes to see tiny glowing orbs around me. I looked at the girl and she was smiling with blue glowing eyes. That was the last I saw of her. And that town.
You’re probably wondering what happened to me next. Well I came back. Near a stream in the woods. My hair and eyes were different. I had red hair and green eyes. I was also more pale, and not wearing anything. I tried to make a noise but it was like I forgot how to speak. I tried to stand but I kept falling over. I was like a toddler learning the world around it.
