Summer Memories

Lila James a 15 year old girl (with long slightly wavy medium brown hair and ocean blue eyes.) Arrives at a big house somewhere in San Diego California.

It wasn't just a random house it was the house that was known to be a safe place to her.

Lila's mother looks at her daughter with a smile. "Ready to see Brooke and Hailey again?"

Lila nods, she exits the car and gently closes the door, she smiles as the front door opens and the familiar face of Mrs Carter appears with a friendly smile "Lila how you've grown the last time I saw you you were like only 12 years old."

"Hey Morgan, are Brooke and Hailey inside?" Lila asks getting her suitcase out of the trunk her mother helps her and they both take their stuff inside.

"Brooke is gaming and Hailey is out with some friends" Morgan says.

Brooke Carter (a 17 year old girl has short light blonde hair and green eyes) was playing fortnite on her ps5 she groans in frustration as she got killed in the game and saw she got second place instead of first. She shakes her head and puts the controller on the little table in front of her.

"Lila", Brooke gets up from the couch meeting Lila's blue eyes. They knew each other since forever but it has been a while since they last saw each other. Lila noticed how Brooke has grown a lot taller than her she was like 5 feet 3 and Brooke was like 5 feet 10.

Brooke was known to be a tomboy she always dressed in boy or men clothes. Lila noticed Brooke's long wavy hair was replaced by a short boyish haircut. Brooke was wearing a Grey hoodie which obviously came from the boy or men section. A black jeans and some black sneakers.

"Hey, you changed" Lila said not recognizing her.

Brooke was the eldest of the Carter sisters, "yeah went for a new look"

They stare at each other neither of them found the words to say.

"Lila!" The two get out of their trance seeing Hailey Brooke's younger sister. She has long thick dark blonde hair and greenish blue eyes. She was somewhat smaller than Brooke but somewhat taller than Lila. Before Lila could react Hailey already had attacked her with a hug.

Brooke awkwardly puts her hands in her jeans pockets while turning her gaze away.

"Did i interrupt something?" Hailey smiled falsely, clearly enjoying the fact that she had ruined their moment, she turns her head looking at the two as she let go of Lila.

"No, you didn't..." Brooke mumbles sitting back down on the couch and takes her controller off the table. Acting like her sister's actions didn't bother her.

"Oh Lila, I missed you soooo much!" Hailey hugs Lila again her voice overly cheerful and her hold slightly possessive. Like Lila was something to conquer or to win over.

Brooke tried to ignore her sister as she keeps gaming.

"I missed both of you, sorry that it took so long" Lila apologized.

Brooke breaks her focus from her game her head looking up at Lila. "It's fine I'm sure you had your reasons"

she then noticed how Hailey was still holding Lila causing Brooke to feel something. "Hailey can you let go of Lila she's not your possession." Her green eyes were showing slight protectiveness.

Hailey's greenish blue eyes meet her older sister's serious face. "Fine.." she mumbles loosening her grip on Lila.

Lila sits down on the couch her eyes full of curiosity as she watches Brooke playing fortnite. "What are you playing?" She softly asks.

Brooke smiles keeping her eyes on the TV screen, "fortnite, it's a shooting game" she replies. "Wanna try?" She turns her head looking at Lila with sparkling eyes of mischievousness holding the controller out for Lila to take.

Lila looks at the white controller in Brooke's hand, "you sure you want me to play i have never gamed before I'll probably suck at it"

Brooke smiled, "that's okay I won't mind if you'll lose" she keeps trying to make Lila try it.

Lila nods taking the controller, "okay what do I do?" She places her thumbs on the joysticks while holding her index fingers near the side buttons.

"You're holding it like a Pro already!" Brooke praises. "Now just use the left joystick to move around."

Lila tries to use the joystick, "aah I'm getting shot at!" She panicked but you could see how she was joyful.

Brooke chuckles, "try shooting back"

"How do I do that?" Lila asks while desperately pressing every button on the controller.

"Aaand you're dead" Brooke chuckled.

"Sorry, that Simpson came out of nowhere" Lila put the controller on the little table in front of her.

"It's fine, it's just a game" Brooke smiled
