Chapter 1
I was just a security guard at the billionaire’s mansion. One night, the lady of the house, Clara, walked past me and dropped a small golden key. She whispered, “Room 404. After the lights go out.”
At 3:00 AM, I turned the key. The room was lit only by candles. Clara was there, her silhouette framed by the moonlight. “You’re brave,” she said. She handed me a secret diary that recorded her husband’s crimes.
Suddenly, we heard heavy boots in the hallway. Her husband was back! Clara pushed me toward a secret exit. “Take the book and run!” As I jumped from the balcony, I heard a scream that chilled my blood.
