Gianna and Dominic are always on the verge of fighting or fucking...or both - the tension is real!
"Alright, so I’m about 30 chapters in, and I’m writing this review. At this point, I feel I’ve read enough of the story to make a recommendation to other potential readers... I’ve made so many comments on this story, and have screamed out loud at the characters while I was reading...this is how I know that it’s a great story. This is a grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, good girl/bad boy troupe mafia dark erotic romance but with a twist. The good girl may not be 100% all that good. There is more to her than what meets the eye. Gianna is underestimated and overlooked by most people - in part, because she’s purposefully made herself small and invisible to protect herself, her peace, and her piece of the world that she’s carved out for herself and herself alone - and partially because she’s been protected by others against forces who may seek to harm her due to her proximity to power via her mafia family. I don’t want to give the story away, but looks can be deceptive. Gianna seems to be all sweetness and light, but her thoughts are yearning, obsessive and focused, particularly when it comes to Dominic - the enforcer who has made it his mission to watch over her and protect her from harm. Dominic has been told by Gianna’s uncle Sal, the mafia don that he is to marry Gianna, and Dominic has absolutely no problem with following the don’s orders when it comes to Gianna. It turns out the Dominic has been stoically spiraling out and obsessing over Gianna for a while, and when the don gives him the green light, it’s game on! What has followed thus far is 2 people trying to get to know each other in a limited amount of time before their impending nuptials while concurrently pursuing separate agendas. Gianna is trying to maintain the limited independence that she secretly confiscated and maintained before becoming bound to Dominic and shielded even further behind his wall of safety. Dominic is trying to maintain his job focus, reinforce his reputation, and ensure that no harm comes to Gianna. But Gianna continues to tempt him and throw him off his game just by existing it seems. I can’t wait to see how the story turns out..."

Engrossing
"Love the characters, how their voice gave a clear picture of who they were, what they cared about, what they were running from within the first couple scenes. I was hooked so quickly. Great description and writing. I often skip long descriptions in stories, but this writing is so beautiful i got lost inside it. Several paragraphs describing eye contact? That would usually be an automatic skip ahead for me. Lol love this author and low key jealous of her writing ability and hugely happy for any future success she has. Very deserved. "
