Episode 1: Mysterius

(June 28)

In a quiet little family, there was a 12-year-old girl named Evi, who was drawing her family on a blank sheet of paper.

"Evi, lunch is ready! Come downstairs now!" called her mother.

"Okay, I’ll come!" replied Evi.

She placed the paper on the table, then went to the front window to look for Dewi, who was 10 years old. She didn’t see her at first, but then she looked out the backyard window and saw Dewi playing on the swing. Impatiently, Evi ran downstairs to meet her.

However, her mother blocked the door with her hand and said,

"Where are you going? Eat first before playing."

"But why didn’t Dewi eat with us?" asked Evi.

"Because Dewi already ate," her mother replied.

Disappointed, Evi sat at the dining table.

After finishing her meal, Evi put her plate away and left. As she ran outside, her mother advised her not to play too late, and Evi agreed before heading out to play.

As evening approached, Evi wandered toward her neighbor’s house, curious because it seemed they were moving.

"Eh, Mrs. Emma, why are you carrying a suitcase?" Evi asked.

"My family and I are moving because we’re not comfortable here," replied Mrs. Emma.

"Okay… we don’t have much time then. We’ll be leaving soon," said Mr. Somad.

Evi noticed Luna standing silently. "Eh, Evi, we’re leaving. Can you go back to your house?"

Evi didn’t answer, ignoring them. But when she looked back, they were already in the car. When she looked ahead, everything suddenly changed.

Shocked, she saw the house and surroundings destroyed, abandoned, overtaken by nature. In front of her, the house seemed to speak:

"Come inside, Evi..." whispered a voice as the door slowly opened.

Meanwhile, Dewi, who had been playing, noticed Evi standing still. Worried, she ran over and shook her. Evi snapped back to reality.

"Evi, are you okay? I was worried. Don’t leave me again 😢," said Dewi, disappointed. She hugged Evi, who, feeling guilty, hugged back.

Elsewhere, Mrs. Emma, Mr. Somad, and Luna were silent.

"Why do we have to move so soon? We just moved here!" Mrs. Emma complained.

"I had a strange feeling about the house, so we have to leave," Mr. Somad said.

"But we spent so much on this house!" Mrs. Emma snapped.

"But the house is cursed!" Mr. Somad warned.

"There’s no such thing as a curse!" Mrs. Emma shouted.

Luna remained silent, staring ahead. Suddenly, Mrs. Emma gasped, "H-Husband… there’s someone there! Ahhh, brake!!"

"Astaghfirullah!" Mr. Somad swerved to the right and crashed the car.

Later that night, Dewi said to Evi,

"Don’t you want to go home? It’s late. Mom will scold us."

"It’s fine, I want to play more," Evi said with a smile.

Dewi went inside, while Evi stared at the abandoned neighbor’s house. She ran again—and again—and ended up in another dimension where the door was already open. She entered slowly.

The place had become a spider’s lair. She looked up and climbed a stairway.

"Brug-Brug-Brug" went the stairs.

She saw a deep red light coming from the door where Luna slept. Entering the room, she found a long corridor. Curious, she carefully walked toward the room at the end of the hallway.

At the end, she saw a star symbol on the floor, with candles lit at each corner. Evi thought, "Hmmm… a cult?!" Terrified, she almost ran away but bravely stepped toward the center of the symbol. Around her were shelves of old books.

Unknowingly, she had reached the center of the symbol. Suddenly, all the candles went out, but one by one, they reignited with purple flames. Shadowy purple-black figures rose from the flames toward the ceiling.

Terrified, Evi looked up at a dark portal, from which a hand emerged. She ran backward, but the door wouldn’t open.

"Ah, what do I do? Help!!" Evi shouted in fear.

A black shadow approached her. Meanwhile, the jin entered her body through her mouth.

"Argggg!" Evi screamed as the jin possessed her, her eyes turning white, leaking black fluiflu. : Windows

Two days later

The story begins in Bogor. A woman named Lufi made coffee for her husband, Ridwan.

"Honey, your coffee’s on the table. Don’t forget to drink it."

"Okay," Ridwan replied.

Before leaving for work, Ridwan noticed the coffee and sat down.

"Mom, is Evi feeling better?"

"Maybe… I don’t really know," Lufi replied.

Turning on the TV, Ridwan watched the news:

"Two people were found dead in an accident in the Siliwangi forest in Bandung, with one person missing. Police found initials on one victim: 'B' on the wife and 'RN' on the husband. Authorities suspect this was no accident, but possibly murder..."

"Mom, Mrs. Emma had an accident. Should we go there?" Ridwan asked.

"Innalillahi… how could this happen? Okay, you go to work first, I’ll call Bu Siti," replied Lufi.

Ridwan left, and Lufi wished him safe travels.

Meanwhile, Evi was at the same abandoned house, remembering the events of that day. Despite feeling down, she walked on, noticing a bathtub with an open window. Curious, she closed the window. Suddenly, she saw someone being attacked and killed.

"Hwah-huhhuhuhu!" Evi screamed and woke up. She checked the time—9 a.m.—and hurried to have breakfast after showering.

"Why are you just waking up? We just finished eating," her mom said.

"Sorry, I had a bad dream," Evi said.

"Are you feeling better after falling asleep in front of that abandoned house?"

"Yes, mom," Evi replied.

Lufi called Evi’s mom.

"Hello?"

"Assalamu’alaikum, sorry to call. I wanted to ask if Evi is okay?" Lufi asked.

"Yes, she’s fine," Evi’s mom replied. "Can you come over alone?"

"Okay, I’ll come later."

Evi noticed her mother preparing to leave.

"Mom, where are you going all prepared like that?" Evi asked.

Ignoring her, Bu Salsa made a quick call to her husband.

Bu Salsa walked to Bu Lufi’s house. On the way, she forgot to bring a gift, panicked, and bought:

Flowers

While exiting the store, a stranger laughed at her, "Why are you bringing flowers to a cemetery? 😂"

Bu Salsa ignored him.

Arriving, she knocked, and Bu Lufi opened the door.

"Oh, Salsa, I wanted to talk to you," said Bu Lufi.

"Yes, what is it?"

"Did you see the news about Bu Emma’s accident with her husband?"

"Innalillahi… how could that happen?"

"So, should we go there later?"

"Okay, but I need to inform my kids first."

They chatted until the kitchen.

"Oh, do you want to eat? I already prepared… Oh, I forgot the flowers!" Bu Lufi said.

"It’s fine, I already ate. I brought flowers for the vase," Bu Salsa replied.

Finished talking, Bu Salsa went home. On the way, a road repair forced her to take a detour. Suddenly, she saw a person who seemed to commit suicide, burned and bloody.

"Astaghfirullah!! Help!!" she shouted.

Everyone came to help her and called her family. Police arrived to investigate.

"Bu, did you see the start of the incident?" asked a policeman.

"I… I just passed by and saw a suicide," Bu Salsa replied.

She handed the police a paper from her pocket showing a drawing of a tree next to a window. The police were stunned, and Bu Salsa realized with fear.
