"If You Don't Live, Life Will"

Summary

This story reflects on fear, hesitation, and the things people wish they had the courage to do. Sitting on a bridge and watching life move like traffic, the narrator realizes that many thoughts remain only in the mind — confessing love, speaking up, taking risks, and living freely. The story encourages readers to stop overthinking and start living. It reminds us that life is short, and waiting too long can lead to regret. Even though risks may bring heartbreak or consequences, being honest, trying new things, and enjoying life is better than holding everything inside. In the end, the message is clear: live boldly, take chances, and enjoy life wisely — so that one day you can look back without regret. ✨

Chapter 1

Writing

Have you ever searched for something until you forgot what it was?

Have you ever tried to define a word until you lost count?

Have you ever tried to align something that doesn't exist?

Have you ever tried to make a thought come to life?

Well, all this might be true.

Or maybe fake.

You sat down on that bridge until 12:00 PM in the morning,

staring at the street,

wondering how it came to function.

Looking at the street, seeing cars in traffic,

you remember that your life is exactly facing the same traffic.

You wonder what it would look like if you could control time.

You imagine how it would be if you told that person you love about your feelings.

You finally tell your parents how they hurt your feelings.

Or you finally tell that best friend what you think or feel.

You finally walk up to that mean girl or kid

and give them a piece of your mind.

All this is how we feel, don't we?

You want to walk up to your crush and ask them out for prom.

But all this is just what we are thinking.

Unfortunately, we cannot do it.

Ha ha.

That's life, my friend. It keeps going on.

We only live once, says philosophy.

Says science.

So we better speak up, then deal with the heartbreak later.

If they reject you, at least you tried.

At least you were honest.

Don't beat around the bush.

Just be straightforward.

Who knows what tomorrow will be?

No one knows destiny.

So you better go on that date.

Eat that meal.

Travel around the world.

Kiss that boy or girl.

Build that relationship.

Get that tattoo.

Get that piercing.

Just do it.

No one knows. No one cares.

Try everything that silly head of yours wants to try.

But remember, everything has consequences.

So be ready for whatever happens later.

Just be you. Enjoy life.

Our parents say things like, "Don't do that," "It's dangerous."

But the truth is, when they were our age, they did worse.

And they enjoyed it. Yes, it had some bad consequences,

but they enjoyed it. Some regret it, some didn't.

So please, just do it.

If you want to lose weight, then do it.

If you want to gain weight, do it.

No one cares.

All people do is leave silly comments. That's it.

It's your life, your win, your loss.

Your will and your deal.

After all, you only live once.

I'm not writing this to make you feel that it's right to do bad stuff.

But I will tell you this: if you don't enjoy life, then life will enjoy you.

And trust me, when I say enjoy you,

I mean suffering, regrets, and disappointments.

Just do that thing you have always wanted to do.

Because if you don't do it,

your mind will always draw you toward the thought of doing it.

Enjoy life.

When you are alive, you are fortunate.

Because those who are dead would do anything to be in your place right now.

As the saying applies, only the living ones can enjoy life,

while the dead ones will only watch from above.

Please, take the risk.

Don't be scared.

Because with life, everything is risky.

Enjoy life so that later on, you can look back and appreciate it.

While enjoying life, be good.

Enjoy it wisely, not carelessly.

Be wise. And I will be right here to guide you.
