Chapter 1

Maeve exits her mom’s car, “Honey are you going to be alright?” Her mother asked her blue eyes full of worry for her daughter.

Maeve gives a slight nod, her fingers fidgeting with her anxiety ring. Maeve is a 16 year old girl. Her hair was simple and straight framing her face in a way that felt calm- and controlled. She closes the door with a gentle slam. Her mother’s orange crossover dissappears slowly out of sight.

Turning around taking a deep breath Maeve slowly starts moving her steps slow and steady she was wearing long brown faux leather boots.

Opening the school doors she felt her heart rapidly beating in her anxious chest. As soon as she opens the doors eyes are all on her.

She quickly lowers her head her ocean blue eyes on the cold linoleum floor. If there was Something Maeve didn’t like it was going to school.

Slowly moving keeping her eyes down the Sun kissed blonde girl walked on the linoleum floor her boots ticking on the material. Walking through the hall way she felt the other students eyes all on her. But actually they weren’t even looking at the quiet girl anymore.

But Maeve couldn’t help feeling like their eyes were all on her.

She reaches her locker and unlocks it her heart keeps rapidly beating like it could tear out of her chest at any second her sweat was forming on her forehead she could feel the droplets slowly sliding down her soft pale skin.

Her hands were shaking as her fingers touches her school books. Slamming her locker shut she starts moving delicately to her classroom.

"Hey Maeve, you can sit with me if you want." A slightly tall boy waves at her his golden brown hair was short and styled with some gel. His Grey eyes focused on the quiet girl.

Maeve was a quiet girl but if there was Something about her it was that she is very pretty. boys usually whistle as she passes them.

Maeve meets his eyes, "no thank you I'll sit in the back" she whispers taking a seat at the desk in the corner of the classroom.

The disappointment on the boy's face was palpable. "Fine whatever" he grumbles ignoring his classmates faces who were witnesses to him getting rejected by a girl.

He glares at them, "Don't you losers have something better to do?" He spat.

After class Maeve leaves the classroom but abruptly stops walking when she sees

her.

A girl standing in front of her locker talking to some other girls, the girl has a tousled boyish cut with uneven layers that gave her a rebellious softness. She has eyes that looked like the midnight sky. She was wore a black cropped tee under an open plaid flannel, the fabric hanging loose around her like she couldn't be bothered to button it. A high raised jeans hugged her frame.

Her outfit style was a a whole different than Maeve's style was.

She kept staring at the girl like she couldn't take her eyes off her.

The girl's eyes dart over to her direction and a soft gasp escapes Maeve's lips.

She quickly holds her school books in front of her face. As if the girl couldn't see her.

The rebellious warm slightly messy blonde girl looked at her with slight confusion in her dark eyes what in the world was Maeve doing?
