Chapter 1
The air in the room was thick with the scent of cheap vodka and that salty smelly sweat from each teenager’s dancing body in the house one gave party out. Each one of them raised their hands to the air and chanted out to the girl in the pit who were holding a small glass of liquor in her hands
“Drink, drink, drink!”
Despite her wobbly legs from the many other alcohol she has drank in order to be in the spotlight among other high schoolers, no matter if that meant she’d forget her own name by the time it was morning. She tilted her head back and let yet another liquor burn it’s way to her throat. That was the final straw, her knees gave out and her vision got blurry, unable to tell what was infront of her. As she was about to collapse to the wooden floor, gladly her friend rushed in just in time and the drunk girl slumped in her arms like a lifeless doll. The party came to an end with that, some calling it waste of time, some called it killing the mood. Carrying out her passed out body to the car was like carrying a corpse, gosh she was for sure heavy. The tallest girl that was following the other two aggressively opent the driver’s door of her father’s vintage 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. She sat inside and waited for the other two with her eyebrows frowned, her mouth forming a pout ready to yell at them for not their recklessness but for embarrassing her and potentially ruining the group’s reputation.
In the driver’s seat, Ruby Sinclair was seated, her sharp dark green eyes would frown at everyone. She had her iconic bangs and her dark hair she would never change in a thousand lifetime. A height that scared the living shit out of other students. She wasn’t an usual popular girl. Sure if you want to see a basic popular girl that would be the drunk laying in the backseat; Mary Collins, with her bleached blonde hair falling to her chest and her wandering blue eyes who keeps looking out for boys. The third girl, Aveline Marcer, she was the oldest, rocking a short dark hair, she was the one with the brain in the group, she was the one who had plans to get them out of trouble.
Together, they are up to no good.
“For fucks sake Mary I told you to be careful with drinking, now you ruined everything again! You’re so stupid, Mary-“
She kept on yelling and yelling in the car while driving the group to their houses. Aveline spoke out in the passenger’s seat nervously, afraid Ruby might snap at her.
“You know, she can’t hear you right?”
And she was right. Ruby slowly turned her gaze towards the short haired girl sitting in the passenger’s seat, that glare along made Aveline regret her words. She gulped and fidgeted with her fingers as she always did when she was anxious.
“My bad…”
